This board has big heatsink. What is the benefit of replacing thermal pads on this board? I am not convinced.

@@moaalseiari4115 These are open box boards and the third-party Rma company is putting in thermal pads that smell of chemicals. So I replace them

So usually high heat environment(Like 3080 Dell Vram) I'll get a year or two on pads...
Normal temps or light use I've went many years without changing pads. So I'm thinking some of these boards were abused or this is some kind of re-manufacturer using very sub par quality pads.
