Reduce File Size on Mac

In this video I go over how you can make files and folders smaller on Mac. I will discuss reducing file size by compressing folders, reducing the size of PDFs and word processed documents and finally how to reduce the size of a video.

I appreciate you taking the time to make this video. I did notice that one of my files did get larger but I had to crop and save the photo as a pdf and bring it back into preview and export it with the file reducing. Thanks for your help!

I've attempted to reduce PDF file sizes in this way, using both the macos inbuilt "Reduce File Size" quartz filter as well as one I've created, and in all cases the result is a PDF about 8x larger than the original file. Is this a bug in Sonoma? What could be the issue be?

Perfect video. But sometimes apple is strange. My PDF file has 3MB. After the process apple created a 12 MB file 😆
