BTS has shown another side of themselves in this performance. They have occasionally shown their artistic / contemporary dancing at award shows and special stages, but now we are seeing it in a regular track included in their album. I honestly thought that the art film performance video would have nothing to do with their own ver. of Black Swan, but seems like I was wrong. Many people have been saying in the comments that the choreography kinda got easier and underwhelming compared to their usual dances. Well, just by the look of it, it does feel that way, but I've heard from my contemporary dancer friend that contemporary dance is extremely difficult because the emotions and moves have to be controlled by the micro, with every detail and subtleness. So I think that pop/idol choreos and Black Swan have a different category and they both should be appreciated. I really respect BTS for trying out new things such as this song because it will eventually open new possibilities and boost creativity in the Kpop field. What is amazing is the fact that this isn't even their title song. I've honestly never seen a b side song with such high quality and level of difficulty. Also as I said in my video, I feel like the performance would have been way more majestic and elegant if the stage was bigger. The stage at that set just seemed to small for the choreography and I even saw a video of V accidentally kicking J-Hope's head really hard. The stage size was the bummer for this performance which restricted their moves. Despite those conditions, they did amazing! Oh, my favorite part was when Jimin dashes out like he's trying to escape from something. Tell me how you felt about this performance in the comments! :) P.S V's visuals get me EVERY SINGLE TIME.
Really loved the performance and i definitely agree about the stage size but they still nailed it. I'm really proud to be an army because of how they always try new things and do it brilliantly. Loved your reaction too.
I don’t think the choreography is any easier than their others. Contemporary dance is something that might look simple sometimes but performing it and making it look good is not easy at all
It has to be a lot harder, actually. Going from super sharp and clean and fast to those slow, fluid motions in just a second. And then they're doing so many movements with their head and chest, and then to keep singing like that, there's no way that doesn't require a fuck ton of skill because that changes the airflow and they would have to adjust their vocals constantly
I am a 60 year old man from the Netherlands, so I was around when the Beatles were there. BTS is so much more than K-pop. Do people in Korea realise BTS is something really special?
I heard Beatles' songs and i love them.. and i've watched how they wowed audience around the world.. but maybe because we live in a different era, i couldnt appreciate them as much as i should.
Yes I am still reading the Jung’s map of the soul book since last year recommended by bts on their website. This is such a hard book to digest with difficult concepts from analytic psychology to metaphysics. BTS lyrics is so far beyond popular music.
I understand what the OP means. I've heard many Army say they don't want BTS compared to the Beatles but BTS and the Beatles share one very important similarity that is undeniable. Both groups are/were a phenomena of their generations. Both broke new ground in the music industry, led the way for others to follow and set records for future artists to strive to reach. Other talented contemporary groups can dance and sing but few compare to the artistry and chemistry that BTS exudes when performing. The simple elegance and emotion that was portrayed in the lyrics and the live performance of Black Swan was extraordinary!
Personally, I thought their performance was mesmerizing and smooth. But I don't know the first thing about dance, so when I heard some people were calling Black Swan's choreo too easy, I texted the best dancer I know: my cousin, who's both a dance major and an army. She answered: "That is the hardest thing they have ever done. Not in terms of risk or stamina, obviously but, do you have any idea the amount of effort it takes to look that seamless? Executing contemporary choreo without looking awkward and ridiculous is hard, even for pro dancers with other specialties". Interestingly, when I asked who impressed her the most and thought she'd gush over Jimin with me, she said it was actually RM! Basically, she already expected Jimin to be elegant and fluid, but was pleasantly surprised by RM's"unprecedented grace". She often says he's too stiff or too hunched-over or that "he sticks out, and not in a good way". So I gotta give props to Namjoon for finally getting some positive feedback from my cousin, lol. Also, she agrees with me that a flashier choreo would've clashed with Black Swan's understated vibe. I don't understand what more did people want, honestly; for me, other than the stage size issue, this performance was just right.
When the song came out I wonder how the hell bts are going to pull it off but with most if not all of their songs they could make a good choreo and in this case is perfect couldn't imagine it being it any better for what it is. Bts has done it.
This is by far the “hardest” choreo they have done as a group and everyone did so well. They made it look “easy” because they practiced the heck out of it. Movements were so sharp and precise yet linked together fluidly. That’s a lot of strength and stamina to pull it off making it look effortless. So proud of them.
im a contemporary/improv dancer and choreographer. contemporary can be very hard to execute, especially if you have no background in any technical form (ballet, modern). contemporary in general has been a gateway for dancers who are multi-genre (jazz, hip hop, modern, tap etc.) because it is a mix of many styles. that's why it's easy for BTS to incorporate it with their hard hitting hip hop (like in fake love or spring day). with contemporary you also are able to throw away much of the "proper" technique that dancers are taught in ballet or modern. while in ballet its important to always make sure to point your feet all the way through the ankle and toes, in contemporary choreographers tend to play around with the range of motion of the foot. there's a bit more freedom when it comes to contemporary choreography. there is also an emotional aspect to it which is a big factor in why they probably went with a contemporary based dance company for the art film. there is so much detail and storytelling behind contemporary and im so happy BTS are diving into it more. its a risk that they are taking and its definitely working in their favor.
I took ballet, jazz, contemporary, tap, ballroom etc... as a kid, from age 5 to about 14 when I quit. They will get better the more they do this obviously. I agree with what you said 100%. You can tell Jimin is trained but I was actually shocked to see V do so well, minus kicking J-Hope. J-Hope also really good at fluidity. Can't wait to see how they improve as the year goes on.
It beautiful. Thank to Jimin introduced dance contemporary. I hope Jimin proud of himself. He made other members learning the dance. I feel in love with these beautiful contemporary dance choreography.
I think its HILARIOUS that antis are calling this choreography "easier". This is how you know that some people have no idea what they're talking about. I used to be a hiphop and street dancer, but contemporary dance scared me. It's not easy at all, especially if you don't have a dancing background. I'm especially proud of Seokjin and Namjoon because they really nailed every part of the performance. We might as well have an ot7 dance line now haha!
This choreo wasn't made for every silly Korean talk show hosts or idol guests try to imitate or Random mass dance (or whatever this called). It is elegant and so-true to the song. And I don't think that people that think that Twice and Blackpink choreos are definition of dance have any rights and weight to judge Black Swan (no offence to groups, cause their aim is always to make flashmob and there nothing wrong with it)
I think this performance had so much depth and meaning to it. I think people don't realize how many emotions go into contemporary dance style and to do that, it's hard. This song and the choreo is nothing short of art and magic. And the fact that this was just a side track goes to show the amount of work they have put into this album. I think this was by far the most diverse piece they have created and I loved every second of it.
NO FREAKING WAY THAT DANCE ROUTINE IS HELLA EASY! I used to dance back in my younger years with all that energy and sass and for some to say that they made easier dance movements on this song (or maybe on this entire era)? Those guys can F off, man. The fact that ALL of them took a notch in terms of improvement. Took a careful attention to detail, the facial expressions, how their fingertips be knocking midair and foot arches be on their rightful places. It's fucking elegant. They kinda ALL upgraded into Jimin's contemporary world of dance, man. As in, ALL OF THEM! I see more of Suga being on the frontlines... AND NAMJIIIIIN!!!! I couldn't even get my eyes off them despite being Kookie biased. The body rolls... Ugh!!! Not to mention kudos to the style team. RESPECT!!!
Just becase the choreo isn't hard hitting it doesn't mean it's not difficult. Contemporary dances are so hard to develop and BTS did really amazing even though it's not their field of expertise!
David, the dancing might look easy to some but that’s how BTS...they practice so much that they can do it flawlessly which looks “easy.” Plus it’s contemporary dance so everyone thinks they can, but have they ever tried and not look awkward? 👀 Anyways, love your reactions. Love this song. Love BTS 💜💜💜
My favorite thing that BTS does quite often in their choreos is going from really fast, crisp movements to slo mo style.....it is amazing and really helps create a mood within the choreo. I love how well the choreo fits with the song. This makes me very excited for the rest of the album :)
I think they outdid themselves yet again. This performance is soooo beautiful to watch!!! ✨✨✨ It's one of the aspects that I love most about them that they try to push themselves further and are not afraid to try new things. They move so smoothly that may seem easy, but I can imagine it must be soo difficult to learn such a different style of dance. Like you said they are shifting from slow to fast, rapid movements and back again, it's very controlled. Thank you so much for your reaction and opinion!! 💜💜💜
Love to watch your reactions! Most people, especially non-dancers, don't realize how difficult modern contemporary dance is. Just watch Jimin's feet! Much respect to BTS and this awesome choreography.
@@puilamchan7397 That's understandable, and I don't blame the fancams - their angle of view is not ideal. But often Proper directors do the same thing on official MVs or on programmes (they are often the worst) - perpetually changing the angle of the shot, focusing on the dancer's face (!) and very often ignoring really quite intricate footwork! It's the professional's approach - sometimes I just think they are trying to be clever and show their technique rather than showcase the skills of the artist. Saddy McSadface, me!
from my point of view, this song actually gave a perfect platform for a more dance (contemp dance) type of choreo. the way they made it look easy, every move very fluid, almost ike flying, interrupted by a few harsh, fast moves, it gives a beautiful dynamic to the dance. it doesn't overpowers the song, one can easily focus on the song or the dance, or both, whichever is their pref. i actually love this type of choreo, and whilst is not as flashy as some of their previous ones, it's still amazing. me, personally, just get lost in their video, forget all real life, just ride the waves with it's ups and downs, speed and slow mo....
Honestly this performance made me cry. BTS does everything in their own terms. They always out do themselves. How sad for those who are not broad-minded enough to realize such. As a vet army, they never cease to amaze me. It's always the first time every time!
I really enjoyed the artistic choreo. Once again BTS has taken it to another level. I feel they are not only KPOP, but true artists that are Korean. Music, dance, & art are universal & ageless. I have preordered Map of the soul 7 & can’t wait for what BTS will share with the world. I started poppin and break dancing as a young girl in the early years of Hip Hop in NYC. My bias is J-HOPE because I can relate to what dance meant to him in his early years & where it is taking him now. I am old enough to be their Mom & feel happy to be a fan of BTS for what they represent. #givebtsagrammy
people should remember that they also have to SING. *they are NOT a dance crew* their first priority as artists is to sing live and put a nice performance. being skilled in dancing is a plus. dancing while singing live is more than expected. being stable while singing live and dancing is more respect to the artist. dancing for 3 minutes a song that has formation, jumping, fast moves, slow moves, popping, acting, legs, arms and the whole body while your singing live comes nothing closer to the word "easy". yall understand shit. i want to see them do this. they'd probably die due to cardiac arrest before even learning the whole choreography. *this IS NOT a title track.* this is NOT a commercial, funny, trendy performance: *this is an artistic reproduction of the song's meaning, concept and title.* what are they supposed to do? i know they are the best thing in the world, no one can beat what they deliver, the quality but they are not gods: they are humans. funny how if it was another group (american, korean, chinese, australian etc..any origin, any group) doing this, fans would be like "oh no one does this. no one ever done this. they are superiors, they are doing something different. imagine being able to do both! kings" but they are bts of course they're gonna get the daily dose of shitty criticism and complaints....and from fans!!!!! wow jobless fans istg some of you eat superficiality for breakfast, lunch and dinner....yall better change your routine before i find you thank you david for the funny and nice reaction. i love your pinned comment💜
You look great, so fresh so handsome. Btw that is Bris. So happy for him BTS performance is art man they are taking everything to another level. Everyone looked wonderful. Jin is so good. V is stunning. JK is dashing, Suga, JHope & RM are undeniably amazing & Jimin is the swan.. I am so happy with this performance & this James Corden episode
the performance was so beautiful, a mixture between contemporary dance and ballet, i dont think we have ever seen something like this but i really do hope we get more of that
I absolutely loved this performance. I thought the dancing was absolutely amazing because of how precise everything was and the constant shifts in speed like you mentioned. I agree that the stage was probably a bit too small, but I'm happy they were able to manage it with grace (especially poor hobo's head) and that the filming was so much better than it has been in the past. Not to mention I'm so happy with the stage setup. They didn't just tell BTS to perform on a normal set, they let them create/have an interactive backdrop and floor that helped heighten the impact of the performance. As for visuals, of course I thought they were all super handsome and charming, but one part that has me extra star struck was Yoongi's expressions during his second verse where he's dancing with Hoseok. I also really liked Namjoon's visuals when he rapped and essentially all of Jimin's moments. Talk about a swoon-worthy performance.
This performance was even more beautiful to me than the music video, I feel like the music video was just built around this performance, it was perfection.
Imo this is BTS evolving, maturing and showing a tempered elegant side. The coupling of snapping and fluid movements suits Black Swan. The dance must require harnessing control to keep the levels and body lines pure and consistent. The choreo has contemporary elements and from what I can see their K-pop moves are still there. I am just very grateful for everything they are sharing and respect their viewpoint on where to take their artistry. Totally here to support them.
Dancing barefoot is a very good way for a dancer to not only avoid slipping, but to feel the floor while dancing. Feeling the floor to me means that a dancer can maintain balance and get a better sense where the ball of their foot is in reference to the ground. Bare feet have come to symbolize innocence or childhood in a glorifying perception of freedom from real-life requirements.
I loved this side of them, it’s a soft side. Also David is getting more handsome. But yea, this performance is so elegant and full of charisma. Can’t wait to see how they combine their shadows and egos into one title track.
I’m truly impressed with BTS. The choreography is difficult with two medium of dance, modern contemporary flows and pop with the quick movements of hip hop. BTS has been hinting for over three years to expressed their concepts with an higher level Artistic expression in dance, staging and music.. I first noticed their changes in Artistic expressions in “Ready to (Let Go), which was performed in Japan. The performance is on You Tube, Brixslife reacted to it. I’ve been performing and studying dance from ballet, contemporary, traditional cultural of all genres except for Middle East and Asia, teaching and performing for over 50 years. BTS is a performing artist’s delicious cuisine. They definitely have you wanting more, because you can see the originality and unique creativity that’ll have you on the edge of being spell bound. When they’ve finished their performances your energy is entwined with them. I expected BTS to Spin off the concept of the MN dance company to be spiritually moved to their own created juices. I’m looking forward to more exciting expressions of their concepts of life. You do realize Big Hits is the producer of healing music. Black Swan is so awesomely beautiful and outstanding and it’s just a taste of what will come later.. The performance of Black Swan took them all to an higher level of expressions. Jimin executed his captivating part of expressions of breaking through with the essence of elegance.. I’m so thrilled and thankful of the Black Swan performance. Thank you for your outstanding reactions, it’s really very informative..
lol Bris is soooo tall lol. This choreo is truly beautiful to watch. The song has a mesmerizing feel to it and combined with this backdrop and the clothing and the dancing.....it's just a true priviledge to see that.
Choreography is visually appealing...a beautiful appetizer before the main course. If this is any indication of what is to come then I can hardly wait to hear the rest of the songs on the next album and seeing the new music videos for “MOTS: 7”. BTS continues to grow, open up new avenues for musical artistry. Great job, BTS!
I feel the same way. I've never seen a b side track being this good! I loved it! Also, the choreo is something that just makes the performance even better! The song is just...I love it! There are people saying this choreo is easy. But it really isn't. It is actually even more difficult and you need to consider they've not done anything like this before except for Jimin and Jimin's elegance just shows in the performance. Even the other members performed so well that they could really convey the emotions! Also, the choreo is perfect. I can't imagine another choreo going well with this song. Especially the powerful moves and then just letting go. That's difficult. I haven't done contemporary but I know that's difficult, especially while singing. The breath management is amazing!
I don't know how people even got the idea that this choreography is easy. The movements are so liquid and then they go hard and then they blend. It literally flows and obviously requires that the performers have a lot of skill and talent to hit the moves seamlessly. The performance was magic.
I also agree. The stage size is a bummer but the performance was really exquisite. NOW, I cannot understand why people are downgrading the choreography. What were people expecting with a song that ultimately screams out a ‘Contemporary feel’ Were people expecting some next level acrobatics and gymnastics to prove the difficulty of the choreography? And really I’m balanced on accepting people’s different opinions but the none sense I’ve seen written about fans liking BTS less because of their watered down choreography for Black Swan irks me. The choreography suits the song and is appropriate. It would be sensible to note that the choreography has its own genre complexities and they did exceptionally well. This group really works hard at bringing their best to each performance with an exceptional level of dedication which is seldom seen! Well done BTS for putting on a great show in just a few minutes!
This performance and teh song was so good...dancing part was so captivating ...they are so good which is mind-blowing cos they are not dancers ...and the lyrics is so deep ...
I may be wrong but I clearly noticed movements from other choreographies like BS&T, Fire, Danger, FL, Idol, DNA ...all combined and a new movement in the chorus, very beautiful! Hugs from B-Army!
I remember saying that I didnt like the original MV and now that I've seen them perform I wish they were in the MV I can feel the song while watching them which made me like the song even more I hope they make official MV where they dance in it, with them looks more artistic and I really feel the song watching them Thank you for the reaction though I wasnt looking at you David lol I was so into the dance xD
Not only comtemporary dance, they add some athetics in Black Swan’s choreography. Like David said at the last dance, they chill with the end of the Taekwondo. That’s so relaxing. Great performance my boy!
This is so different from the dance group's choreo, which I think is brilliant. This is BTS' own version of the performance, and it exceeded all expectations. It's not as delicate and sweeping as the dance group's version, but more raw, emotive and passionate. I was so impressed with the energy they all poured into it, and MY GOD every last one of them looked beautiful in every move. Any chance to see Jimin shine with his modern dance talents is so good, but the other members did not slack off one bit. To think that this level of music and performance isn't even for the title scares me some, as in am I going to survive this behemoth of a comeback? Agreed that this would've been worlds better (and safer) on a bigger stage, but they managed to do a beautiful job regardless.
This is a dance that I feel really honors Jimin. Contemporary modern dance, the fast and slow back and forth with other ballet moves, these are all in his wheelhouse and what he loves to perform. However we only get to enjoy him in his element in his solo performances; we rarely get to see him do this type of dance in OT7 songs. Elegant is the word for sure, and he really excels in this style. I'm happy the boys are branching out.
There is no reason to complain about black swan's choreography. It has to go with the song. They always do complex choreography in almost all there songs. So many boy and girl groups don't even do any hard choreography.
I love how it takes so long for people to notice their feet. I loved the stage, it seemed like something out of a korean music show I definitely appreciate the show producer to allow it.
always enjoy your reaction videos! this was really a great performance, loved the stage too. and yes agree that if it were slightly bigger it could've been even grander! poor hobi...
at last justdavid! yeah the choreography looks to contemporary & that's what blew my mind coz the first time I watch it I realized that the whole choreo was actually were "steps" from their early songs! JK's first part seem like "almost hand-clapping" 0:28 was a move from their Airplane2; 0:37 Begin; there's from Blood Sweat & Tears, Dionysus, Boy with Luv, Danger(Jin's part hand behind neck) & Jimin's part both hands on the nape seems like same from the N.O (kneel part) & many more haha just gotta check those old choreos of them. well that just what I saw peppered the entire performance.
yes that was BRISxlife, he was at the bar on the end looking dapper😉, always like your honest reaction. I like the BTS version of Black Swan, the artistry performance, once again they do a great job. Please keep up the good work.😉
Hey David. You're the reaction I waited for and watched. The Black Swan performance was so sublime and powerful at the same time. Emoting with soft and hard moves cannot be easy. I don't know dance, but i do understand emotions being portrayed in dance. And here it was just so beautiful. I cannot compare the 2 versions as both are different in musical arrangements and dance styles, but yes, I do like the live version as we get to put a face on the verses. Makes it more personal. More relatable. Thanks for making the video.
The stage was really small, so much that J-Hope was accidentally kicked in the face during the performance. Good thing it was a minor incident and Hobi is such a pro that he managed the accident so well that it's almost unnoticeable.
Thumb up for you...that is exactly what jeyhope is...he really is profesional and dependable dancer... And the role he keep in the band were really suite his personality
Yes jhope and V took when Vlive and V taehyung say really not aware and V aplogoy to jhope their just laugh and their know the place perform no too big..
@@giselcastelan9955 When they were like squatting pointing one foot forward and suddenly they flip their legs and get on their feet again. During the "flipping", Tae kicked J-Hope.
They were just stunning and it is one of the best choreos I've seen from them (obviously totally different from their epic ones like Blood, Sweat & Tears, Fake Love, Idol, Mic Drop, Dionysus, etc), so moving, it made me cry. That's what dance should be, an extension of their bodies, flowing out so that you can almost feel it. Contemporary dance is far harder to perform, to look like you are gliding/floating and all 7 of them at the same time, incredibly difficult. Something I can compare it to is playing the piano, it is easier to hit the keys hard and aggressively when playing but it is very difficult to play softly, takes more skill. They just keep getting better as they mature, love them so much!
This song and choreo is just ART!!!! They are just creating sth so beyong and incredible i'm at loss of words on how to describe this and how to express this!!! They are just amazing!!! We are so proud of them!!! They killed it and those saying this is easy then cover it yourself let's see how easy this is!!!! This is NOT an easy dance this so difficult like the way they are dancing to the beats at the same to the melody and using all their power for each moves while singing live🤯🤯🤯
For people commenting on the size of the stage-I think that was an artistic choice and that they wanted it to be small. I was part of the studio audience for the taping and there was room for a bigger stage layout that they just didn’t really utilize . I imagine they made the space smaller for the effects it would create. Other fun fact, they actually filmed the performance twice so I was really surprised they didn’t use the other version where Hobi didn’t get kicked, he shook it off really well though and seemed great for the rest of the taping!

Hey! You gave words to what I felt. Thats exactly it, had they done over the top choreography , this would not hit the same way at all.
I agree, this is exactly what was needed
This is amazing feedback thanks for sharing!!!
Former contemporary dancer here, and I completely agree.
When the song came out I wonder how the hell bts are going to pull it off but with most if not all of their songs they could make a good choreo and in this case is perfect couldn't imagine it being it any better for what it is. Bts has done it.

I used to be a hiphop and street dancer, but contemporary dance scared me. It's not easy at all, especially if you don't have a dancing background. I'm especially proud of Seokjin and Namjoon because they really nailed every part of the performance. We might as well have an ot7 dance line now haha!
It seems that the Americans are learning how to film kpop much better now. loved this performance from the guys
Yes i think so 😁
These shows film such performances pretty OK its the award shows that always have bad camera work
I agree! 💜
Or BTS bring their own camera crew.

David’s reaction when they did that close up of Tae was such a mood
RESPECT!!!
loving this Sass
Just becase the choreo isn't hard hitting it doesn't mean it's not difficult. Contemporary dances are so hard to develop and BTS did really amazing even though it's not their field of expertise!
David, the dancing might look easy to some but that’s how BTS...they practice so much that they can do it flawlessly which looks “easy.” Plus it’s contemporary dance so everyone thinks they can, but have they ever tried and not look awkward? 👀
Anyways, love your reactions.

I'm a nerd. I always watch the dancer's feet. It makes me INCANDESCENT with rage when directors cut the feet when filming dancers! 😂
@@Maraaha55 fancams always cut feet 😫
@@puilamchan7397 That's understandable, and I don't blame the fancams - their angle of view is not ideal. But often Proper directors do the same thing on official MVs or on programmes (they are often the worst) - perpetually changing the angle of the shot, focusing on the dancer's face (!) and very often ignoring really quite intricate footwork! It's the professional's approach - sometimes I just think they are trying to be clever and show their technique rather than showcase the skills of the artist. Saddy McSadface, me!
taehyung is getting more handsome every single day im scared
You aren’t kidding! He is amazing looking.
@@patchchat ikr he blows me away every time
yes!
Just fact
from my point of view, this song actually gave a perfect platform for a more dance (contemp dance) type of choreo. the way they made it look easy, every move very fluid, almost ike flying, interrupted by a few harsh, fast moves, it gives a beautiful dynamic to the dance. it doesn't overpowers the song, one can easily focus on the song or the dance, or both, whichever is their pref.
i actually love this type of choreo, and whilst is not as flashy as some of their previous ones, it's still amazing. me, personally, just get lost in their video, forget all real life, just ride the waves with it's ups and downs, speed and slow mo....
*they are NOT a dance crew*
their first priority as artists is to sing live and put a nice performance. being skilled in dancing is a plus. dancing while singing live is more than expected. being stable while singing live and dancing is more respect to the artist. dancing for 3 minutes a song that has formation, jumping, fast moves, slow moves, popping, acting, legs, arms and the whole body while your singing live comes nothing closer to the word "easy". yall understand shit. i want to see them do this. they'd probably die due to cardiac arrest before even learning the whole choreography.
*this IS NOT a title track.* this is NOT a commercial, funny, trendy performance: *this is an artistic reproduction of the song's meaning, concept and title.* what are they supposed to do? i know they are the best thing in the world, no one can beat what they deliver, the quality but they are not gods: they are humans.
funny how if it was another group (american, korean, chinese, australian etc..any origin, any group) doing this, fans would be like "oh no one does this. no one ever done this. they are superiors, they are doing something different. imagine being able to do both! kings" but they are bts of course they're gonna get the daily dose of shitty criticism and complaints....and from fans!!!!! wow jobless fans
istg some of you eat superficiality for breakfast, lunch and dinner....yall better change your routine before i find you
thank you david for the funny and nice reaction. i love your pinned comment💜
You look great, so fresh so handsome. Btw that is Bris. So happy for him
BTS performance is art man they are taking everything to another level. Everyone looked wonderful. Jin is so good. V is stunning. JK is dashing, Suga, JHope & RM are undeniably amazing & Jimin is the swan.. I am so happy with this performance & this James Corden episode
BTS' black swan performance is one of a kind.. It looked sooo elegant.. I am legit in love with this performance 💜.
Your reaction on Taehyung same as my💜💜😍😍 I almost getting heart attack he's just breathe taking perform💜💜
the performance was so beautiful, a mixture between contemporary dance and ballet, i dont think we have ever seen something like this but i really do hope we get more of that
I absolutely loved this performance.
Their perfomance was good and fresh. Im tired of the same stage presentation other "artists" do. They actually put on a show. Kudos for that. :)
I keep posting this on various pages but, How happy was V to be dancing barefoot :)
It was gorgeous. Taehyung blew me away. I do wish the stage was bigger so they did not hit eaxh other. But all in all a great stage. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Like literally V is on another level.
A minute and a half of music already gone, David finally "wait, are they barefoot?" xD

I really thought it was beautiful,I enjoyed your reaction thank you David.
Yeah that was Bris! Jungkook came up to him and said he knew him and gave him a hug. He was so happy!
Bris is fake.
Ryan Avicii I don’t know whether he is or not but I honestly don’t give a shit either way. 😂
lol Bris is soooo tall lol. This choreo is truly beautiful to watch. The song has a mesmerizing feel to it and combined with this backdrop and the clothing and the dancing.....it's just a true priviledge to see that.
The coreo & the song are just art 😍💕
And even if you've barely left the bathroom, you look so freacking good 😁
Choreography is visually appealing...a beautiful appetizer before the main course.
I’m late to this channel and this reaction but can I just say David fanboying over BTS is melting my heart.
I don't know how people even got the idea that this choreography is easy. The movements are so liquid and then they go hard and then they blend. It literally flows and obviously requires that the performers have a lot of skill and talent to hit the moves seamlessly. The performance was magic.
I like it when David immediately understand about small details, like fakelove dance 🙆♂️🙆♂️💜
Lol “is that it?!” 🤣 same I was left wanting more and became an army after this performance
Jin was really a black swan
I'm so so proud. All the boys just kiled it
I also agree. The stage size is a bummer but the performance was really exquisite.
NOW, I cannot understand why people are downgrading the choreography. What were people expecting with a song that ultimately screams out a ‘Contemporary feel’
Were people expecting some next level acrobatics and gymnastics to prove the difficulty of the choreography? And really I’m balanced on accepting people’s different opinions but the none sense I’ve seen written about fans liking BTS less because of their watered down choreography for Black Swan irks me. The choreography suits the song and is appropriate. It would be sensible to note that the choreography has its own genre complexities and they did exceptionally well.
This group really works hard at bringing their best to each performance with an exceptional level of dedication which is seldom seen!
Well done BTS for putting on a great show in just a few minutes!
I love your facial expressions lol that’s EXACTLY what I looked like watching this 😂 and you copying the choreo 😂💀💜 I love it all !

David SAME. I was literally woaaaiiinggg through the whole performance.

I remember saying that I didnt like the original MV and now that I've seen them perform I wish they were in the MV

I hope they make official MV where they dance in it, with them looks more artistic and I really feel the song watching them
Thank you for the reaction though I wasnt looking at you David lol I was so into the dance xD
Great commentary and you were watching V to notice the dab
Just because the performance and choreo was so good..we are so awed with it..we didnt the notice the music was going to end..BTS is in another level..
David, they have incorporated bits of other routines bs&t, save me etc all into the black swan dance routine
🤯
Not only comtemporary dance, they add some athetics in Black Swan’s choreography. Like David said at the last dance, they chill with the end of the Taekwondo. That’s so relaxing.
Great performance my boy!
No socks, amazing performance as usual.
I LOVE Jin in this. they all looked so elegant, but Jin stood out to me.
"Oh that face hit me hard " Same David same 😍😍😍😍
Same as my reaction whenever I see Taehyung. :)
So this song just broke Adele’s record of 5 years by being number #1 on iTunes in 104 countries 💜💜💜💜
I hadn't noticed anything partucular about their ending pose 😄 thanks David😘
Your excitement was so cute lol
I think it a master piece, love it.
i dont why but its so cool to make it like a contemporary steps awesome genius
I have been waiting for this!
That production belonged in the Super Bowl
always enjoy your reaction videos! this was really a great performance, loved the stage too. and yes agree that if it were slightly bigger it could've been even grander! poor hobi...
at last justdavid! yeah the choreography looks to contemporary & that's what blew my mind coz the first time I watch it I realized that the whole choreo was actually were "steps" from their early songs!
Please keep up the good work.😉
I loved it 😍 and I could hear their voices clearly
BTS IS THE NEW STANDARD......Period!
Really ? When was this :(( poor hobi
Thumb up for you...that is exactly what jeyhope is...he really is profesional and dependable dancer... And the role he keep in the band were really suite his personality

Can i just say how much i love david 🥺🙌🏻
Love your reactions david keep up the good work!👏👏
This song and choreo is just ART!!!!
"Is tae doing dab?!" 😂😂
For people commenting on the size of the stage-I think that was an artistic choice and that they wanted it to be small. I was part of the studio audience for the taping and there was room for a bigger stage layout that they just didn’t really utilize . I imagine they made the space smaller for the effects it would create. Other fun fact, they actually filmed the performance twice so I was really surprised they didn’t use the other version where Hobi didn’t get kicked, he shook it off really well though and seemed great for the rest of the taping!
My favorite Black Swan from BTS 😊
I swear, the choreo always kills me...honestly the whole performance killed and the fact that they are bearfoot while dancing..im so done-
Everytime there's new bts content, i always look forward to your reaction...you're the best..
