Hiya, I believe the reason the J22 has poor roll is because she has fuel tanks in her wings. The more stuffbyou have in the wings, the worse off your weight distribution is with regards to roll rate.
Hey Jengar, nice vid. I would call the max dive speed a weakness of the J21 series. It’s pretty easy to overspeed those things and lose a wing.
Hi Jengar. Not being much of a fighter pilot the J21A is great to play. For some reason the guys lije playing chicken and its a great plane to go head on with. That being said... Bombers are my thing and the B18B is an absolute beast. Cheers

Pyörremyrsky not living up to a Bf 109 makes sense given its history, it was basically designed a budget solution to material shortages and Germany no longer selling more 109's. So it's basically made of plywood and glue and trying to get as close in performance as possible (or better in certain areas, like getting rid of the awful gear and better cockpit visibility) with a lack of materials. Same holds true for most Finnish built indigenous fighters. Trying to supplement their existing main fighter force with just engines and guns with a homebuilt airframe.

Rank 3 Sweden has one of the best tiers and aircraft for grinding warbonds, as well. They're all monsters in any match they go into.

Ik this is an old comment but I'm having trouble in rank three because my elevator in the back of the j21 A1 keeps getting destroyed after a single volly of bullets and then I crash since I can't pull up or down any tips?
@@fablergaming6671 It's been a few months since i've played, so assuming nothing has changed dramatically:
Basics- don't go head-to-head unless it's you only option (even though the J21 is one of the best aircraft at H2H). Use boom-and-zoom style tactics and keep sharp turns to a minimum. The J21 loses a lot of speed when it turns sharp (especially in RB). If you don't kill someone in a pass, don't tail them trying to finish them off because that leaves you extremely vulnerable to someone else.

Great video! I agree with your assessment.
I noticed you had a couple of issues with the B18B during bombing as the doors only open after the wing mounted bombs are dropped and so one misses with the internal bombs.
The solution is to map a key to the bomb door open function and do this BEFORE starting your run.
Can't wait for Rank 4 which I am grinding at the moment.

Great video :) For me Pyörremyrsky has a great advantage that you didn't mention - climbrate. In my opinion it climbes better than Bf109. I love it because of that despite quite low effective altitude
Thanks mate, i didnt notice the climbrate that much, but i'll fly it out again to check that a bit better. I did have a lot of hot maps, that never helps me as a non mec player.
I find that I am getting with higher BR planes when I pilot j22-B... had way more hun and success in J22-A imho. edit: I see now that BR was increased on these planes since this video.. that explains things

Thanks. With the B18A model I was doing good. But the first couple of matches at the higher BR with the B model the guys were handing me a ass whooping. I saw in your video you go up to 5500m plus. That helped alot. With the A model I was bombing at 4500m no problem. Bombing at 5500m plus with the B model works great. Thanks Jengar!
Some things to note:
J-22B has a great BR placement. Jengar mentioned that you could put a talisman on either the J-22B or the J21A-1, but I'd put it on the J-22B since it's competition will have lower BR than the J-21A1's (that's something folks new to the game should consider).
The J21A-1 is a great plane. I'd consider it's low dive speed to be a weakness...as Jengar said, it's not only the fact that it's dive speed is rather low, but there's not much time between initial warning and the wing(s) actually ripping off. Also, and I agree with Jengar, the engine easily gets heat-soaked. I'm one of those guys that always have to return to base because I got the engine too hot. MEC will mitigate the bad engine thermal dynamics. I also turn off the engine to drop the temps (let it stay off for 10-15 secs)...that usually keeps me from having to return to base.
The Pyörremyrsky (I stick with calling it the PM-1, which is on the side of the plane) is a decent plane. I like it because, although folks compare it to the Bf109s, it's a little different. It appears to climb better. Also, you can actually manipulate prop pitch when using MEC (you can't do that in Bf109s without burning out the engines). Even without MEC, you don't have to worry about melting the engine - Bf109 engines at the 4.0 BR range tend to run very hot. As well, you can keep out the combat flaps longer than if you were in a Bf109. The flaps don't take forever to deploy, either. And, although the guns are a weakness (low 1-sec burst mass with low cannon count), it forces you to polish up on your gunnery. The guns' strength is that they're all nose-mounted and the 12.7s tend to easily cause fires.
Loving your Rank series, BTW, Jengar. Keep it up...these videos are standing out when compared to other WT content on YT. Great job so far!

couple of things I'd like to point out:
1: the 20mm cannon lacks a stealth belt, which is true for all the J21s in the swedish tree
2: the guns can crack light tanks and pillboxes, making ticket draining viable in late game
3: the B18B turrets has poor horizontal guidance (15 degrees/10 degrees), rendering it useless unless the enemy is directly behind you
4: you should mention the maximum amount of base damage the B18B can do (I forgot if a base can be destroyed by a single 600kg bomb or do i need 2 of them. the rockets can take out half a base)
can even kill medium tanks with the 13.2's!
Those 600kg m/50 bombs are brutal. The Torpex explosive has a TNT equivalent of 480 kg, a bit more than twice that of the 500 kg m/41s.

I grinded all the Swedes, some of the most fun planes imo, they do about everything above avarage. However, the guns are some of the best at their tier, having 3 center mounted is really good at engaging head ons specially the j21s. 22b has a ridiculously low br.

Ah Big Sven. My trusty B18B. Many Warbond vehicles have been earned thanks to him. With my most recent being the Chinese A6M2 Zero. Speaking of that. Id love to see your impressions on it. I personally really like mine, and id love to see you try it!

Ahh, the good ol days when the j22s and j21s werent super overtiered. Maybe they were a little undertiered here but i dont think the j21 should be above 3.7

about the B18B: ANYthing with a DB605 engine will overheat if you use WEP and the engines are also easy to break with machine guns

I was rather surprised at the lukewarm review of the Pyörremyrsky, as it is a pretty good plane for me- it has the turn rate and climb rate to be very competitive at even its BR, essentially functioning as a really weird but good mix between a Yak-3 and a 109, having the former's turning ability, and the latter's climbrate and general armament layout. Then again, I got mine when Sweden was still in Early Access.
About the only thing it cannot do effectively is intercept bombers, because while the guns it does get are excellent (more on the 12.7s later), the plane is a bit too lightly armed for that job.
(P.S)
The 12.7mm guns used on that plane were in essence heavily modified M2 Brownings, modified for a high rate of fire and ability to fire "explosive bullets". They werr first produced in Belgium in 13.2mm chambering. Sweden bought a lot of them as well as the blueprints, who later gave them to Finland, where it was rechambered to 12.7 so they could use locally-produced bullets for it. This 12.7mm is what's used on the Pyor, and in fact its a related if not the same weapon. In essence it gets only the higher echelon aircraft guns of WT- the MG151/20 cannon and two Swedish/Finnish 12.7mm MGs.
Its a good plane i said, i still have a 5/1 K/D ratio in it, but its not good enough compared to the planes in the regular tree to warrent a buy. I sincerely cant recommend this plane over the planes in the regular tree for the purpose of grinding this rank.

Post war planes at rank 3! Hardly surprising that they are brilliant planes to fly.
pff, common man, bit more positivity, there's post war planes in all other nations as well, that are relatively low rank.
Indeed Jengar, but it’s still not right to have to face an aircraft at a lower level which was built and designed 10 years or more after the string bag you are flying! It’s another Gaijin nonsense I guess. Anyway thank you for all the great content. I have learned so much watching your videos and if I ever want to know what a plane is like and whether it’s worth unlocking I always check first “Has Jengar done a video on this?”. The ö character in swedish planes is pronounced the same way germans pronounce oe or some english words with an i or e are pronounced.
Other scandinavian countries and hungarians also use this character in their language, the french e or eau is pronounced the same way.

Hello one weak point for B18b is that the elevator is too vulnerable to hits . but only that. i mostly drop my bombs in a dive so i can eliminate a base with 1 drop in AB. and yes all the Sweden III planes are fantastic.

Hey Jengar,i'm so glad you made a video about the third rank,so many good planes here,I adore the j21 do much,but i especially enjoy the j22b.Yesterday i played such a good match against some of your teammates from your squadron,they were all in Zero's,but i managed to get two of them with the j22b,she has fantastic firepower,the last one shot me down unfortunately,but great lads they were,very good pilots,all i want to say is keep up the good work mate,your videos are very informative and stay safe...

I haven't flown the b 18b much but I would assume that one of the weaknesses it would have is the fact that it would fall apart instantly after being shot with minengeschoss bullets like every other bomber when fight the germans and italians

Yes Kiki, i definitely agree the plane can CAS very well, im just saying the Base bomibing combined with the support fighter role is more fun for me, and in the end i think a better and more consistent way to grind. Also better for your health, you live longer!

Jengar you have persuaded me to try the Swedish tech tree. I have had such a problem with the USSR tech tree and my logitech extreme 3D pro to work properly. My joystick works with the USA, Geeman and Japanese perfectly but not the USSR.hopefullt the Swedish twch tre will be kinder to my 3D pro
What mode do you play? if not SB you should use M&K. you are seriously setting yourself back using joystick in AB and RB.
but of course, if you enjoy it, go for it ;) happy that you're trying sweden!
I am a retired professional pilot with over 18,000 hours in a cockpit of helicopters. I started out with a M&K but it felt unnatural to me. Wouls a joystick be better used in SB!

Hey Jengar do you think the J22-B and J21A-1 are still exceptional at their current BR's? All of tier III feels good to me even at current power level but I have only been playing for 320 days so have played Sweden after all of their up-tiering happened... beside the Pvkv III :(

The weakness for the B18B is that the gunner in the front gets shot in the back a dozen times in a head on.
It's not really a weakness, as you barely need the gunners.

I like going low, but unfortunately the rockets are hard to aim with that bomber.
I've not been low yet for a whole match with this plane, will have to try.
Do you have any pointers in how to fight a Bf-109 in a J21?
well, this depends on the 109. She can turn reasonably well with the e's, but will have more trouble with the f's. She is much faster then the e's, but this advantage dissapears as you face the better f's in 4.0 uptiers. The 109's climb better though, so you got to compensate this by sideclimbing and being patient. Dont rush into battle. when you'r higher you'll have good chances to beat them all. If you're lower, you'll beat the e's still, the f's will be harder, especially the 4.0's.

Swedish in a nutshell:
Troll planes with American ANM3 damage output for 20mm and long range sniping firemaker Berezin 12.7 for machine guns, full of empty space and inmune to Minengeschoss or any incendiary type bullet, yet still not as op as the Finnish premiums xdddd
Shooting them down isnt harder then something else i think, take an american or german plane around this br and im sure we'll wreck havoc as well. XP-55, or a good corsair, or a 109. In the end its all about the pilot. although i do like them guns ;)
@@jengar6258 IMO the only ones who can actually deal with them are Russians because they combine great acceleration with decent roll rate and turning, so while no German can turn properly, between Moose tangs and J21 they're like Japan vs Russians they complement each other, but Russian planes are good turners if they also roll good so they would scissor j21 and turn j26 whereas in Germany those who turn good can't roll and those who roll can't turn xd or maybe I'm too accustomed to Russians
B18B=B7A2 early Times. Now it was several Times nerfed and not more competitive in AB Mode.

@@jengar6258 I know Jengar! But it will be soon in AB Mode surely. BR 2.3 is to low in Tier III. It´s my best Bomber to earn daily tasks in Tier II and III. With an BR 2.3 Setup you can solve the daily tasks very quick. J22B, J20, B18B,B18A and B17A and the Day is yours. So it was with the Japanese B7A2 in earlier times. So 4 Years before. Now it is only an average Dive Bomber. Cannons are almost worthless at the Japanese. The Akan Machine Guns are absolutely deadly. Even dealier than the Browning M2!!!!!I´m killing in my B18B everything Hunters and Bombers in Head Ons or Turnfights.
J21s' durability... wellllllll yes and no. The times I played the J21s the durability meant nothing, because one hit to the water and you should RTB ASAP! Died several times because the engine after even a small water leak would kill itself from overheating faster than you can cook an egg in a pan.

its the best bomber in the game climb rate dive fire power has all i so much enjoy to flight with it.the weakness is that the tail controls can easily damaged. but i have a question for you are you play with mouse aim or simplified controls?

I farm it now, so once Gaijin might fill the tech tree with filler, i don't have to prioritise farming through all that just to get one plane.
The bombers (B18-T18 series)are really worth it too, one of if not the best SL farmers with accurate nose-mounted guns.
In these rank tutorials can you also cover lineups? Even if you know everything about everything, if you can’t make a good lineup all that knowledge is put to waste.
A good lineup for what? Air AB? or tank RB?
