fun fact Sweden labelled the 13.2mm gun as an autocannon.
It's so good that it's like it's the best of both worlds of the Browning .50 and the 20mm cannon

@@alexhurlbut At the time, the difference between autocannon and machine gun was not calibre, but whether or not it used solid bullets or explosive shells.
Ha the 13.2mm feel like 30mm cannons. They are so incredibly deadly, i'd take 2 13.2mm over 6 50cals

Other than the J20, this Rank was brilliant to play. Decent birds, decent guns, and the Morko Premium, excellent birds at this BR!

I used to play this game a lot, but it progressively became less fun for me. For some reason I enjoy watching your guides because they remind me of a time when a Japanese bomber could cut through a hairball and blast a heap of planes with it's 20mm rear cannon, or when there was plenty of time to climb and yo-yo on your low flying enemies.
I feel the times are still good like you describe ;)
Give it another try. I took a break and came back after almost two years and it’s MORE enjoyable now! ...or maybe I’m becoming a smarter pilot?
@@supergreg72 no doubt I will. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game quite a few times over the years.
I started Swedish air craft and (not really grinding) got to tier II in about 2-3 hours without premium. I’ve enjoyed it.

Just a technical correction - Mörko-Morane can have WEP on any altitude, but it is disabled on the second supercharger gear which turns on at 3750 if you use AEC.

the J-22 as a rule is one of the more fragile planes (at least in arcade) and rifle caliber machine guns can kill you easily. the engine does not take kindly to damage and a yellow engine is a huge problem if you don't have enough altitude to get back to the runway.
i've not taken a lot of damage, on the engine, i've always managed to get back.
On the -18A, one of the gunners is a 7.62. The -B has both gunners using 13.2
i stand corrected, slip of the mind, i was already flying the B when making the soundclip.
The B18 series is actually kinda infamous due to a phenomenon from the last couple of years where players with...suspicious names, shall we say, would do nothing but spam the reserve plane of the Swedish tree and then do nothing but spam the B18s. It's all but certain that these are burner accounts played by bots in order to take advantage of the "get free GE if a player using your referral link hits rank 5" thing, as for a while, Sweden was by far the fastest tree to do that with.
What I'm trying to say is that the B18 is so good, even a script kiddie can brute force their way to top tiers with it, so a player who actually knows what they're doing should have no trouble doing it even faster.
okay, interresting, just for the record: I've never shared referral codes with anyone. so in case that 'your link' was meant for me, im innocent! ;)
@@jengar6258 Oh I'm not accusing you of such a thing. What's been happening is that players have set up alt accounts THEMSELVES using their own referral links, and then they would run a bot script on those alt accounts to grind gold for their main account. It's kind-of clever, but since I'm not seeing this so often anymore, I think somebody at Gaijin finally figured out what was going on and they might've cracked down on it...or maybe it's because the Israeli tree was added since then, and it starts you at rank 4, so it's even faster to just spam that tree instead.

@@jengar6258 They also seem to have changed the way the referral links worked. Now you get 100 GE if somebody gets to rank 4 with your code and 2500 if they reach rank 7...which actually makes this exploit even easier if they haven't done anything about the bots, though it does mean you need to have a LOT of these bot accounts doing it if you want to make enough GE to buy anything decent.
I liked this, hope you do more across all nations...

Yeah the J-20 i get tons of assist kills in this but rarely any kills and I get shot down all the time.
gotta love them assists ;) tbh i wish they made that stat 'shared kills' and make it into a visible stat. Just like kills.

Is it just me or does the B-17 hardcore look like a diesel punk mech!?
I got an idea you should do an ultimate air forces guide to help beginners become aces just as oxy made an ultimate ground forces guide
Instead of the funfactor there should be a verdict on whether you should get an aircraft consider it or avoid it
For instance this is how I think you should lay it out
A6M5 zero
Gameplay: you should ideally use this in turn fights as it can out turn spitfires but it can energy fight as like with many fighters they aren’t limited to just one tactic even when they are known for manuverability or speed you should also always refrain from head ins and attacking ground targets and remember that you are very prone to falling apart
Pros: great manuverability
Effective firepower
Engine doesn’t overheat easily
Good climbrate
Cons: poor durability
Limited ammo
Ineffective ground attack capabilities
Slow
Verdict: get it
