    I bought a Viking VB 650 about 10 years ago..Absolutely fantastic machine especially cutting in the wet..(Stihl made)
    Almost identical in pickup to the Etesia.
    It had the mulching blade too+attachment...The ONLY problem with this machine I EVER had was the drive cable...Twice it broke in 18 months owning it...
    Best machine I owned,better tham Honda,hayter,Toro,,etc etc...
    And speaking of Stihl,their new machine is poor compared to the Viking..
    Liked this video 💯👍

    I have a Pro51X, I've had it over 10 years, and I bought it new. Mine has a Kawasaki engine.
    It's never broken down, never failed to start. It's an animal. It collects in hideous rain. And it outperforms my twin blade Honda Pro.
    It is heavy and expensive, but will I buy another? Yes, without question.

    I now run the stihl four wheeler for wet weather and the new hayter 41 pro for finer days , did use the 41 the other day on some dampish lawns , no clogging and clippings blown straight to the back of the box , not sure about the Honda 145 engine just yet but seems to cope OK and the speed is reasonable, having the stihl as a back up mower so far is a good call for me at the moment

      @@tombelbin2303 Hi Tom,
      It’s a slower machine but it doesn’t miss a beat. Down side like Greg says is it leaves tyre marks as they are narrow and it’s heavy so my opinion is it’s suited more to hard commercial areas that don’t get aerated and scarified to soften them up. Private customers with nice lawns may not like the lines it leaves off the wheels. For me it is the best picker upper but it’s expensive as well.

    Hi Greg great video s,would you say this is best mower just for cut and drop for wet thick grass,have a couple of large area s and the hrx struggles and fails, unless really dry ,would you say better than the stihl 7 series.Many thanks Ian.

    • @GregsMowing
      @GregsMowing  7 місяців тому

      Ian yes the etesia is great esp at cut and collect and cut and drop. It’s a serious pro machine. Flawed in the handles and wheels for me though. The hrx only good thing is its weight. Nice and light. Rest of it I’m not too keen on after running two of them and they seem to get cheaper build quality.

    I've always used the 46 Pro models from etesia I have some massive lawns and banks and the smaller mower gets them done

    I know they have a good reputation for collection, but at £2500 their pricing is ridiculous. They have a decent engine at least but I don't see the extra £1100 on the Honda pro.
    The plastic box is a big plus, wish Honda would use them! The handles look really awkward as well with all those levers spread around to engine drive and blades. No thanks I'll stick with the Hrh536.

  • @TopC333
    @TopC333 2 роки тому

    I have used Weibang, Honda, Toro & Stihl. My favourite is Stihl for performance as plastic box, it’s really well thought out, fast & does a good finish however durability is poor. The blade brake clutch went very quickly. Honda are reliable but poor in the wet. The weibang is great with a high lift blade probably the best quality cut. Toro are mulching only. These are all four wheel non roller. I have just order a pro 46 because I want plastic box collecting with Honda durability. I just hope it’s fast enough.

    They looks great mowers. Just checked out online and this model has the briggs engine too. But 2.5 k for a push mower is steep. Toro ect are 1. To 1.500. which is ok I think if etsaia come down in price a little they would be the choice of many but at that price is just too much for most people and they would go to stihl ect 👍

    • @GregsMowing
      @GregsMowing  2 роки тому +2

      Don't think the Briggs version is available here, but is in other countries. I don't see the value in Etesia products, they are built well and parts aren't costly either so don't see why £1k more, hundred quid or so I could accept. Thanks for watching.

      The Etesia are mostly used by county council....And money is no object to them.(as its not their money).👍
