I feel like the play there was Molekale because the imp dies to barrel and lava, so you get two shots at his face, between the molekale and 3 drop + 1 drop. Plus it makes lane 3 live (usually)

Honestly as much as Fry kept blaming seedling for bricking throughout this video I think that running 4x molekale bricks just as hard in this deck. In general I think that Fry overrates molekale a lot, not that it's a bad card by any means, but more that it's kind of a "win more" card that requires an already solid board state to pop off, and I think it definitely creates a sense of conformation bias when playing with it, since in the situations where it creates an advantage it feels really strong and impactful, but I also think it has a tendency to brick, especially if you're running it as a 4 of. You do not need to be consistently playing molekale to make pineclone worth it, and since this deck is more of a tempo deck than a swarm/aggro one, pineclone is already not fulfilling as great a role as it could, although its definitely worth running at least 3x copies. I think that seedling is arguably a stronger card in this deck just because it curves out, baits removal, and creates a potentially strong vegi mutation target after it transforms, although for this purpose I do think that black eyed pea is definitely just stronger, I think this deck should absolutely be running 4x black eyed pea, I think that only having fireweed as a 2 drop is kind of a weakness, and the fact that black eyed pea enables turn for black eyed pea + vegi mutation is on average a better play than a turn 4 molekale or pineclone. Also 4 puff shroom is just too many in my opinion, I think that running 2 is fine and you can instead run 2 hot lava, reincarnation, or captain cucumber depending on what you want accomplished in the deck, I honestly think that decision is up to personal preference. 4x black eyed pea is still optimal tho in my opinion.
Does anyone know what happens if I play exploding fruitcake on a plant with armored 1 while binary stars is active?
Does it deal 7*2 damage and thus 13 since the armor works second
or
does it deal 12 damage since 7-1 from armor the doubles to 12?
The total amount of dmg you do with fruitcake+binary is 14, armored prevents one damage so it takes 13. What even survives 14 dmg in this game bruh
Honestly when you don't have the repeat moss combo or a play I think it's a good idea to just play repeat moss dry. Your opponent is forced to remove it under threat of OTK. It messes up their previous play plus you might get something good like from fruitcake etc. Plus if they don't remove it it's 2 damage to face which isn't the worst thing and it is still active
