After hearing your comments about your favorite bonsai museums, I think it would be exciting for your viewers to see videos of you touring gardens and discussing the exhibits. I’m sure we would learn a lot and also get to see places we may ever have a chance to visit.
We would certainly love to hear about your experiences. Personally, I am interested in business, finance in general, but also how to improve my health. Learning about relationships is definitely important too.
When you were showing your succulents, i noticed you had some in a meat tray, i thought i was the only one that reuses them as pots! Basically free training pots everytime you go grocery shopping 👍

I loved seeing your puppies! Bon Bon is adorable and Leon is too! When I was a kid my step father gave my mother a Lhaso Apso for her birthday. Just a cuddly ball of fur! So cute. That dog took to me however, not my mother. He never got nasty, but if he wanted to cuddle up and go to sleep, it was me he wanted. He was so funny, when he got out of the house, we could always find him because he never stepped off the curb to cross the street. I would just walk around the block and he would be visiting one of his many girl friends. He did not like my husband however and would nip at his heels when he tried to leave. And because of that, it took me and my kids several years to talk him into getting a dog. In 1995 we got our first Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. We are on our like our 9th one now with Hope. And I am on my 3rd chihuahua with Viri. She was a chi mix I got from rescue. I hope we see more of Bon Bon and Leon in the future.
I would say succulents that it all depends on your soil and watering schedule. I have over 200 hundred and I have a 7 day schedule of watering with the succulents. The soil I’m using is mostly shale small pine bark some coco core to hold some moisture. The leaves or trunk are the key to know when to water. I have a number of them that are now over 20 years old so I must be doing something right. lol. Though I have killed a few.
I may be repeating... Can't argue with success. My feeling today is soil mix can be very forgiving so long as there is good drainage, moisture and fertilizer.
Just a question. When grafting Juniper you need a Sion obviously and you make 2 cuts on the Sion. One long cut one short cut and you insert it on the receiving Juniper incision. I would like to ask you when you insert the Sion do you insert it with the long cut of the Sion downward towards the branch of the receiving Juniper or insert it with short side towards the branch incision. No one has answered me I will be grateful if you help Thanks 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I don;t usually graft juniper because you have to so many little grafts... I do like to graft fruit trees when I eat something iike. Definite yhe long cut side match to the mother tree's cambium layer. The shar angle is to keep the two in contact...then you will have to wrap them with grafting tape (I use rubber band to make sure it is tight, and then cover with grafting tape or electrical tape to kee moisture. Good luck!
I have a baby blue Chinese wisteria I started from seed. It’s second year and the leaves come out then get brown and die.good drainage but hot here in west Texas. Is this environment too harsh? I have it under a 60% solar sail porch cover now. Not bonsai yet.
Generally you wouldn't want to start from wisteria seeds because a) you don't know if the color is good, and b) it take many many year to bloom. Buy one with color you like, gird it aboobe the graft mark, throw aways the bottom when it is rooted to start your bonsai. That is, you can readily air-layer a wisteria...or takeroot cutting (or sprouts) from a good root. Have fun!
Hi Nothing to do with Bonsai, I am interested in your birthplace being HongKong as was my late wife, in fact she was born in a Japanese prison camp, her father, mother and 3 year old sister also in the camp. Their father from the U.K. worked in the HongKong law, he wasn’t meant to be imprisoned but he was caught sending messages back to the U.K. the military police beat him water boarded him to the point that they issued a death certificate for him, Thankfully he survived. His wife was caught visiting him without permission so she their daughter and my soon to be born wife were taken to a military camp not Stanley camp which most people were interned by the Japanese. After the war the family lived in a government flat until he retired from the law back to the U.K. In 1964 along with his wife and then two daughters. I met Catherine my wife of 52 years in Liverpool in 1964 we lived on the Wirral having two sons, the youngest at age 56 just last weekend married a lovely lady who was also born and brought up in HongKong. My beautiful wife passed away in 2017 sadly. Small world.

My faniily was poor in HK...so not much to brag about. The only claim I have is I went to the same high school as Bruce Lee...he was one year behind me...andf he had a strong following even then. z
Brother Edward (Catholic preist) the PE teach actually taught Bruce boxing...There is statue of Bruce in St. Francis Xavier college (shool) in Kowloon.

For a meal at his place we walked down to the water where merchants on boats sold food. I remember one merchant saying his oranges were fresh from Siam. Also we bought seafood, though I don't remember what kind. I am glad you visited recently. We stayed at a hotel named August Moon in Kowloon.
