I've been there a couple of times. My church youth group did a pioneer re-reenactment there about 14 years ago during summer break. It's so cool that you've been there now too! My ancestors actually came through there in a couple of the hand cart companies.
You and your son are the best! I love your travels and I aspire to be a parent that travels with their adult child. Keep rocking it with your history loving self!
I love Wyoming! I need to get back as there is so much to see there. Josh and will be driving through on the Lincoln Highway at some point. Thx for watching!
I love Oregon Trail history and about the people who settled the west when it was still wild. They had such an impressive amount of grit. People today are mostly pansies. 🤣Another great video! Thank you Pops!
I 100% agree! Those people were tough, tough, tough! Imagine walking long distances across that country carrying all your possessions in a hand cart hoping for a better life. Wow!
I hope you checked out the Guernsey Ruts (ruts on the Oregon Trail near Guernsey, WY). Fascinating to see them still intact over a century later. I've added Devil's Gate to my "Want to go" list on Google Maps. Thanks for the video!
Gotta support Pops 😊🙌🏽🎉

That’s amazing that your family is a part of that history! Also so memorable for your church to do something like that that you won’t ever forget!
Thanks Pops! The crossing of the Rockys was hard for all the people groups! Thank you for the scenes and short history lesson!❤️😀🇺🇸
It was interesting history! Thx for watching.

Isn't it amazing how landscape provided nomadic tribes and pioneers natural markers to navigate by?
Yeah as you say it wasn’t just westward expansion but was also part of Native American history.
Gorgeous area. Never spent time in Wyoming.
It really is a beautiful state!
Those pioneers had it pretty rough back then! Woah.
They surely did! I wonder if we could do that today.
We were there 2 weeks ago. Interesting place! Definitely worth the stop and learning the history!
It is an interesting spot! Thx for stopping by.
Pop's has his own channel, cool!
Haha yep thanks to Josh’s encouragement!
