Surreal to see my stuff animated but there are some really clever moves here, kudos!
You are my second favorite artist for Hellboy next to Mike himself. :)
thanks!
Sup I love your art
dude your art in the storm and the fury is some of my favourite fr
@@danny_decheeto8300 Cheers!
This makes me wish we got a Hellboy Animated Series instead of the 2019 Reboot Movie.
This got me hyped for Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen.
Oof how the movie sucked so bad
@@doomguydemonkiller hey come on you gotta admit at least that the movie does have a charm to it
@@godslight9226the 2019 film doesn't even come close to the vibe of the original, even hellboy has more hair than he should
Better than the 2019 movie
definitely lol what was mignola thinking
Finally someone does justice to the Hell Boy series
If you want to get into Hellboy from the beginning, I recommend picking up Seed of Destruction, the first collected TPB, which should be recognizable to anyone who only saw the movie. As for what would have been good material for a motion comic, pretty much any story out of Chained Coffin or The Troll Witch TPBs would have been ideal, considering they are both collections of one-shots.
So seed of destruction is the first comic of Hellboy?
The Corpse and The Baba Yaga as well as Box Full of Evil or The Island could be great motion comics
Hellboy is such a great character! We need Hellboy 3!
As a matter of fact, the history of this series meanders quite a bit and on-going continuity is a fairly new concept. Hellboy doesn't really have an "origin issue" to start from, but the early collected works are full of one-shots and self-contained mini-series that require no previous knowledge.
Best ep. so far. GOD I love Hellboy! and the music and sound just make it much more scary
I'm so happy Hellboy is on Inky Pen!
I love that every weekday G&S has something new for me to watch when I get home from work.
hellboy is my fav character of all time
Me too brother.
I like when people do this stuff.it really makes the comic come to life.thanks
thank you for this is was great
Have to agree with SaiyanHeretic. A nice self-contained Hellboy story like, say, The Wolves Of Saint August would be a perfect motion comic for the purpose stated. I love The Fury (actually, all of Hellboy, I love)
This is................AWESOME!
Holy freaking back story Batman.
Do "pancakes". that was a great short hellboy story.
I loved it.
awesome!
"Even the Great Nimoy cannot turn back the world!" (3:40)
I have no knowledge of this story, but I was sold with that line. Bring on the new episodes! Damnation to all with downed thumbs!!
He should've done seed of destruction.
I'm curious as to what you use to animate. Look great.
i'm so glad their making hellboy motion comics hellboy is hands down my favorite comic series
Whoa, ok, now I am excited about these motion comics. Hellboy for the win!
if you can remember TRS-80, Vic-20 and Comador-64 than this is an EPIC reminder of special memories of being kids that we'll never forget. But how am I to explaine a tape drive to my grand kids?
I love this. Also, is it bad that I laughed at how the witch started talking faster after she was thrown out the window on the spike?
Hi, somebody knows in which software this animation was made?
The exposition is done exactly as in the comics, word for word..
So.
Good.
Clearly, it's nice to know she still has work.
To be fair the Fury #1 was like the 18th issue of the story Mignola and Fegredo have been telling. Those first 3 minutes cover those previous issues
I need to stop throwing my wallet at the screen.
Can you view a playlist in reverse order? I want that functionality right now (lazy).
Love this it's too awesome but......hellboy descendant of King Arthur its stupid but I'm intrigued
I hope the movie gonig to be like this this is amazing
Dark Horse é uma editora tão boa que tem mais Eisner do que a Marvel !
This shit cool
Oh yes oh yes oh yes oh yes
So then mary anne kills chewbaca, who found out shes decended from the little mermaid, and that chewbaca is her half brother twice removed. After finding this out, mary anne becomes a knight of the round table for shits n giggles, then marries aladin from that disney movie who later finds out they both have genies and that their love was a wish. This realization drives them apart and mary anne turns to prositution and this is the story of that story somewhere between prostitution and chewbaca.
who is the narrating voice?
more make more
every hellboy story is like this one, the series doesnt have a temp line, sometimes goes to the past or sometimes to the future, sometimes pass a lot of year betwen one adventure and another, so i dont see why everone is making a big deal.
It's just fun pulp horror/fantasy. Take it for what it's always been, don't try to imagine it's supposed to have deep meaning beyond simple entertainment. It's supposed to have a certain element of 1930's bijou serial to it :)
The only thing I dislike about this is that Fegredo's own art style is incredible. I wish he wasn't aping Mignola. I know it's Hellboy 'n all, but if Mignola isn't going to draw it there's no reason to make a unique talent like Fegredo copy his style when it would look just as good with him drawing in his own, probably better.
yay
In case you haven't read the comic book, the first issue of the Fury has 2 pages of catching you up one ALL of Hellboy's adventures after leaving the BPRD. Personally I would have preferred they started the motion comics a little earlier in the series. I would pay money to see the whole series done in this style.
Yeah i know, its just i haven't been keeping up with my reading and lots of it were kinda of major spoilers for me.
Does anybody know what software they used to make this?
Some of it felt maybe a touch stiff, but I didn't think it was quite that bad. There have been better and worse performances before.
I just thought that with how difficult voice acting as a career seems to be, a line in the credits never hurts. And even if it was just someone around the office that did it, it's still a contribution. I think it's just a decent thing to do.
Hellboy made a deal with baba yaga :O After the castle was pwned by D.W.M.A
So wait no actual comic?
HELLBOY! :D i'm just bummed that it isn't mike mignola's art being animated.. i don't like other artists drawing hellboy. :P not when mike's style is so unique and beautiful and IT CAME FIRST.
hellboy fans!!! now on kickstarter hellboy the board game by mantic games, inspired by mith and folklore by mike mignola. you will explore gothic locations, fight horrific creatures. more 130 cool minis
this was better than the watchmen motion comic
Is that Amelia Pond?
guess hellboy can be a very good family councilor
I can see validation in bot the complaints and the supporters of starting with this story. I think The Storm would have been a better choice, but seeing as how this story was the next on trades list I can't complain. :)
You know, I was just thinking, it's a shame the voice actors don't seem to have credits. unless I'm missing them somewhere.
Maybe "the corpse"
or "wake the the demon"
you know for a part 1 that was a long prologue
They should have done conqueror worm.
bender vs Hellboy epic rap battle of history
Who? Slim Shady.
hellboy is actually a very good comic once you get into it. maybe they should start from the origin story.
I felt that half of them sounded like software.. like automated speech.
hellboy is the king of england, and yet we have some old woman
The zombies kinda remind me of screw on head
Does anyone else have a headache?
so...instead of using excalibur and the undead armies of britains mightiest warriors to destroy her army and her...he decides to let a witch rip out one of his eyes?
did his father never teach him how to bargain or common sense?
I watched the beginning intently and I know nothing about what the hell is going on? Why did hellboy leave? Who the fuck gets captured by mermaids? Why do the witches of England need a ruler and why does Hellboy qualify along with just him and an evil witch to choose from? I can't pay attention to the comic because I don't know why anything is happening? AND WHO IS THE RANDOM IRISH CHICK AT THE END!
Wow...those first 2 minutes quickly made me realize what CRAP Hellboy is right now
Better than the movie
and Hellboy is best when drawn by Mignola
I'm not sure if introducing HB was the purpose (movies did that). Comic books are trying to stay relevant in new media much like newspapers and magazines. I think the purpose is to convent the fanbase to the new distribution channel with a ad-base revenue stream. Myself, I'm a huge fan but haven't bought paper in years. Now I Subscribed.
except for the dead babies the humans needed to make this stuff.....i love these hellboy stuff,,this is the kind of occult stuff the rich elites and politicians know about and use in rituals..
Wasn't Hellboy a demon? How in the hell could he be related to Arthur? Was his mother human? Did she get railed by a demon?
If the purpose of these motion comics is to introduce newcomers to Dark Horse properties, maybe you shouldn't have chosen a comic so deep into its run that you need over a minute of awkward exposition just to get started. There are plenty of early Hellboy stories that would have been easier and more sensible to draw from.
I like these motion comics, but I really have to question who's making the decisions here.
That's a lot of exposition to start out with. I would have preferred it if you'd waited until the knowledge was critical for the viewer to know which would also give you a better chance of massaging it into the dialogue.
WHAT DID I JUST WATCH
thanksomuch you probably just made someone a hellboy fan / reader. drakhorse should kiss you on the cheeck
why is the Scottish chick talking to King Arther ?
Ok so just watched the movie, wasn't aware it was cannon. Still was shight tho
Nimue is pronounced more like "nim-way", not "nim-oo-ey".
Well the first half of this is clearly spoken by the exposition fairy.
Umm... did she just say abducted by fairies??
I know. I guess it wasn't as funny as I thought.
Win some, lose some.
What? What is this even, wait, what? Is this a prank?
This is kinda funny
Exposition much?
Holy firehose of exposition, Batman. Way to make me not even remotely care about any of the characters or what's happening to them.
wat.
Really? Was that consensual?
I agree that's a LOT of exposition, but it's also several hours worth of reading, all wrapped up in 2 minutes.
That's always my issue w/coming in at a random place in a comic.
So many have long, intricate back stories & you often need to know those in order to fully understand what's happening where you jump in.
Yeah, they should have started earlier in the comic before they made the story too complex & outlandish.
I really don't like that back story.
It's just too much.
Over 2 minutes even.
this seems like its really rushed, plot wise i mean
it is the climax of 10 years of storyline. And the first minutes here are intro of story in the previus 2 volumes of graphic novels.
Thought I saw Hellboy: The Furry...
lolwut?
What the heck? I don't understand anything I just watched.
Exposition'd :S
