Today we’re taking a look at the cows and brushing them out. We’ll also talk about other stuff and stair at the cows some more. We’ll then head into the pen with other cows and talk about those cows and the difference between the cows. The cows love being brushed, so let’s go brush the cows!
Are those Shelby's sunglasses?? 🤷
Haha, no but close! They’re new sunglasses that have audio in them. So I can listen to podcasts or music without putting in an ear bud. Now bears can’t sneak up on me while I work.bit.ly/NorthCountryOffGrid
@@NorthCountryOffgrid nice!
I JUST SAW ON ADLER FARMS THAT THE HIGHLAND COW ABORTED BY EATING PINE NEEDLES. YOU MIGHT WANT TO CHECK THAT OUT.
I just posted to him about this.
Time to put the big gloves on that go to your shoulder LOL. Breed them that way. Just a suggestion. You're doing a hell of a job on the homestead brother!
Beautiful animals
Chad, Its time to call the Vet! To much (Not) going on to not call one! Your Bull might be shooting blanks if he's a twin n was born second! I've heard this from several cattleman that if twins are born that the second one be it male or female will be infertile! IDK since I don't raise cows! I still say it's time to call the Vet! Good Luck! At least you get a little warm up n melt some of that beautiful snow! I hope everything is ok with the cows n bull... See y'all on the next video! Keep us informed! God Bless 🙏🙏❤❤
Brushin' those highlands is like brushin' the daily stress away. I'm going to guess it's like you said, because you have a young male that they are not in calf yet. Time will tell. Love the creek that's flowing through there. These past few years we have had sudden weird weather in the Pacific Northwest, one day extreme freezing, the next 40s and rain, then freezing rain and artic freezing temps. Summers are one day cold and the next reaching 120F. Someone better stop pressing playing with the weather control board 😆 Haha! In the meantime we will do what we do best, take it a day at a time and do the best we can with what we've got. Thank you for another great video! It's great to see other UA-camrs in our area (Pacific NW). Take care!
Most farmers either learn to preg test or get a vet to do it. If you don't you could have a issue and not know for over a year. That means one year of feed and care for nothing. Not a good buisness program, its hard when there your pets but the earlier you find the problem the quicker you cancorect it and get some babies
Wow this learning curve is a whole experience all by itself , they look really awesome and well tempered . Doing an amazing job Chad ! God bless you and your family brother .
My daughter says
"spa day for the floofy cows"
Hope all is well with them.
Blessings ~
I want to brush cows.
Yes you do. It’s awesome
Really hard to eat after you brush.
We have had one of our cows have a "phantom" pregnancy. Her belly was getting bigger to the point of her utters were completely filled up and her vulva got really loose and was discharging. A few days later she had some blood come out and no calf. Took her to the vet and they did an ultrasound and preg checked her and no calf and not preg. He said maybe at one point she was preg but may have aborted or lost the calf early on.
Maybe your bull is shootin' blanks. Either that, or they're eating something that's causing them to abort. Pine needles or pine needle tea?
Do some research on Pine tannins. In our area they have been known to cause stillborn births and miscarriages in the third trimester. If your cattle are drinking water with the tannins in it or eating the pine needles this could be the case.
Thanks for the heads up! That’s a strong possibility
You just answered my question; the bulls not proven. Hopefully you’ll have calves soon.
It's pouring rain 🤧 all I got out of this Winter is Allergies!
They say the Jet Stream is Stuck so the Temperatures can't mix to make Snow 🥴.
She still with Calf?
That is frustrating 😱.
Best of luck for the Future!
JO JO IN VT 💞💨❄️☃️

Hello from Mississippi
Great homestead.
I had snow all morning falling up here. Are you sure the bull isn’t shooting blanks?
Man! Love those coos!
Spanish FLY .Brother!
Btw , this is North Idaho Chronicles, new name on the channel
Are any of your kids a member of the local 4-H? They could show the cows and horses at the local fair.
I can put you in contact with Sheila, she has been breeding them for awhile, if your interested
Thank you for the post. Who makes the jacket you are wearing?
You can’t actually tell if a cow is pregnant or not by looking at their size until they are a month to 6 weeks before calving. You have to pregnancy test them to know whether or not they are pregnant. Good luck and hope it goes well.
HOWS LILAH???? ANYTHING YET??? ID WORRY IF YOU CAN'T MAKE THE CALF MOVE. LET ME KNOW. ILL PRAY FOR HER.
She looks open, so does the jersey heifer
Adjust mineral ?
*Or the bull may be shooting blanks...
You sure he is a bull?
His sack looks empty?
If she is bleeding monthly....sounds like heat cycles
Hello
Hello
Sounds like your bull might be sterile/infertile or maybe he just isn't old enough, I googled it, it stated 18 months old, so maybe that's it if he isn't that old.
maybe the bull is gay
Ha ha oh my 😃 that was funny
