Dress to impress! Match your CB antenna system to your vehicle with firestik antennas - we have just the color you need to take your vehicle's appearance to the next level!
The FireStik tunable tip antenna is one of our best sellers. With so many options for length and color, and having a tuning tip, it is no wonder why this is one of the most popular antennas that we offer. This antenna will compliment any vehicle. Throw in tried and true performance that is made in the U.S.A and a super easy bare-hands tuning tip and the choice is easy. They call this one the Firestik 2 because it builds on the time tested KW series antennas from Firestik. It has the same fiberglass core wound with copper wire and a 3/8 x 24 threaded base. The Firestik 2 adds a tuning tip that can be adjusted without tools, making tuning your antenna much simpler.
Frequencies:
The Firestik 2 antenna, in any length, covers all CB radio frequencies, SSB CB frequencies, AM/FM, and NOAA weather and alert bands. That is every frequency any CB radio uses and more! This antenna is compatible with any CB radio on the market today.
Compatibility:
This antenna is compatible with any vehicle or base installation that has an adequate ground plane. Click here for more information on ground plane. All pickup trucks, semis (tractor-trailers), vans and most passenger cars fit the bill.
This antenna has a 3/8 x 24 threaded base that is compatible with all Firestik and Accessories Unlimited mounts and accessories. It is also compatible with all Teraflex Jeep mounts, but the Teraflex mounts do not include an antenna stud. Our custom Teraflex Jeep mount kits include this stud with a cable.
Options:
This antenna is available in 2 - 5 foot lengths and colors including black, white, blue, red, green, yellow, pink, and USA (striped red, white and blue with white stars). We carry all available options in stock. This can be a lot to choose from. The best thing is to remember that taller antennas tend to perform better.
Springs:
Springs are an optional accessory for the Firestik II antenna. We recommend one in most cases. That can protect your antenna if you hit a low hanging branch or garage entrance. A medium spring like the SS3M is recommended for 2-3 foot Firestik II antennas. A heavy spring like the SS3H is recommended for 4-5 antennas. www.wearecb.com/cb-antenna-sp...
Coax:
Firestik recommends an 18 foot coax with their antennas. This will help you achieve a lower SWR when tuning the antenna. Always remember to wind any extra coax in a wide figure 8, not a tight coil.
Tune your Antenna:
All CB radio antennas need to be tuned. The Firestik 2 is no different. The bare hands tunable tip makes the process much simpler, though. We have more information in our guide to tuning your CB antenna.

I bought a firestick cb antenna, and I just want to say you people are the best support I could ever ask for, You Got Me Up And Running, Thank You So Much !!!!!
Was very helpful on the flex on the spring SS-3h vs SS-3m. Didn't know there was a differents on the tension on the springs
NEVER twist the vynl tip off the antenna!!! It will break a solder joint and render a useless antenna...seen this many times...don't twist the cap to remove it...find something to grip the bottom lip of it and pull it straight off...i use a pair of pliers to pull against it...not tight enough to grab the antenna but just loose enough to catch the edge of the cap and slowly pull it off
i have one on my van on a ball mount(rear) cannot get s.w.r.lower than 1.8-2. tried everything.think Ill go 102 ' whip!
Great informative video!!! Dude reminds me of Napoleon Dynamite.? Really good video though.
Can you use a magnet for this
I put one of these on my truck. Can not get the SWR below 3.7 and I am using a Uniden Bearcat 980SSB. Any suggestions?

Let us know if you are still experiencing high swr after following the steps provided at this link!

Check your grounding !!
How much does the medium spring length throw off the swr on a fsll.
+Steve Tomlinson According to the "Things Every CB'er Should Know" article on Firestik's website, a spring can actually help lower the SWR. With that being said, I wouldn't worry too much about a spring messing up your installation.
Thanks..
That rubber cap MUST be put on the TOP of the antenna after tuning the antenna or the SWR will NOT tune properly.Same with the Wilson "Silver Load" antennas.Don't know what's in that cap but it will for sure lower the SWR when installed on the antenna.
Any mass in close proximity to any antenna will affect the antenna's performance. Especially true on a top loaded antenna.
@@ShainAndrews You are correct...technically it changes the velocity factor of the signal.
Where can I get one in UK ?
mark williams Amazon.
