Lafayette rocket engineer recalls helping build Saturn V rocket that sent first men to moon

  • Saturday marks 55 years since Neal Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first men to step foot on the moon. A retired Lafayette rocket engineer had a small part in helping the Apollo 11 crew make history that day. As the Saturn V rocket blasted off into Earth's atmosphere from Florida, nearly a billion people worldwide watched history in the making. Ted Breaux also watched on to see if all his hard work had paid off.
