Thank you Kayla! Just a tip if anyone is interested (don’t want to be an advice monster) 😊 I find that curl creams with polymers and polyquats (for a little hold) under a gel with strong hold provides really good definition and helps break the gel cast to make hair softer. I’m currently alternating between the Verb Curl Cream and the Dae Styling Cream under Jello Shot and they both work very well 😊

Creams paired with leave ins work for my hair too. Keeps my wash n gos for 5+ days

Oh yeah, creams that ACTUALLY have hold are great! 👍🏽

Thanks, Kayla! I have been a natural for a year ago...nearly to the day! APPRECIATION to you for the sage advice and tutorials! Also, I've been finding Adwoa Beauty at TJ Maxx + Marshalls. I am stocking up since mastering how and when to use their stylers!
    Happy FRYday! 🍟

I have always wondered how we trap water only to eventually dry the hair. I think we want to set the curls in its most wet state whiles enhancing our experience with product application. Thanks for sharing.

These were great tips! 😊 I am finally where I feel comfortable trying different products to get the hold I want. This humidity has been eating me up so I have to figure it out. Girl, I looked like a cotton ball last week. 😂But, in the winter it was hair helmet that barely moved. I am going to play around with some combos.

your hair looks so defined, is this from the new wash n go method or different products?

Thanks! I’ve been using this method for the last 5 or 6 months. I always feel like technique plays more into my results than products. I switch and swatch products all the time.

Thank you for the tips! I am having to force myself into the sectioning and drying phase of my life. Did you mention or have any tips for hair care after gel application? Like a specific type of bonnet?

For bonnets, I’m basic and prefer stay on satin. As your hair gets longer, you can switch to a hair tube like the buff or loc soc. Stay on Satin also makes a pocket bonnet that is extra long.
