When you were in kindergarten, your mom asked me to pick you and Justin up and take you to Abbot Elementary. Very seriously you asked me “When you drive, how do you know where to go.” At each intersection I asked you-what do we do here and, of course, you navigated perfectly to school that day. “Carly, see, that’s how to get to places when you drive.” That is one of my precious memories of you!

I’m also 33 and child free, I feel like not having kids is one of the most responsible and selfless things you can do. So many people bring children into the world without thinking it through or ever realizing that they or their life aren’t suited for kids. One of my boomer aunts regularly reminds me that I’ll be alone when I’m old, but she also has admitted to me many times that she mainly had kids so that she wouldn’t be alone and would “have someone to love her.” Did they not have therapists back in the day? 😂
@@maddiexsaurus Kinda seems like it for sure but as someone in their 40s...your 30's disappear *really* fast once you establish a settled life with a routine bc that routine will just eat weeks, months without you even realizing it💀
I never wanted marriage and kids but at 35 the time was right for me to marry. Flash forward almost 7 years and I had my first child and 18 months later my second. Easy pregnancies, beautiful boys and here I am now at 70 wanting grandchildren! It happens when you’re ready!
That's beautiful how you are finding your voice! I feel like I was the same way! It took till my 30's for me to become empowered and stop people pleasing and walking on egg shells!

Lmao 😂 “we’ll probably all be ai” and “the world probably won’t even be around” I literally made those same comments or I say “we’ll probably all be dead by then” anytime I talk to friends or family about the future and me not wanting kids and if I keep getting questioned about it I use my hard hitter and say why would I wanna raise a kid in this world But I deadass been the same way I never pictured myself getting married, never thought about my wedding dress and definitely never pictured, thought or wanted to have kids. I’m perfectly fine with being tauntie to my niece and possible future nieces or nephews
I was told this in the last year by my psychiatrist and therapist cause I always thought I had ADHD along with high anxiety and turns out anxiety symptoms and ADHD symptoms are very similar. This blew my mind. Hope this helps others too
On the therapy topic- I think it would be beneficial for you to find a new therapist. One that would challenge your thinking. I went to the Rula app and found my therapist that way. I was the same where I used logic, but my therapist asked questions I never thought of before. It’s worth giving it another shot. I only pay $35 a week.
I am curious, do you get paid more because you also edit and Erin doesn’t? Does it seem fair to you? Genuinely asking, because I would be a little annoyed to have the additional work and my partner doesn‘t.
