This bag is definitely beautiful, and I think I would like to add one to my collection someday, but unless they add crossbody options and a button to close it at least a little I don't think it's going to happen anytime soon.
I would love if Dior made a version of this bag that's in line with the style of LV's On The Go (ie. short top handles AND shoulder straps). That would be a game changer and would make the bag a no-brainer to buy.

I agree, it is an absolute work of art! As far as sizes… the small was just too small to be practical for actual use. I got the medium, and I like the pattern surface area much better (there are more pink tones and beautiful flowers shown). Also, with the medium, my belongings sit a little further down inside the bag and I feel more secure that way. I also agree that it is delicate, I am currently researching the best stain protectant. 😊

Please take a look at The Furla Opportunity bag. It is similar to the Booktote. It doesn’t come in as many patterns but it is less expensive, has feet and rings to add a strap but no strap.
😂😂 informative video, but also quite funny how all the things you mention at the start are no cross-body, no lining, no feet, no internal pockets, not leather, very light colour, could ruin the bag BUT!!! it’s super pretty 🤩
Steph- 1. You can use apple guard spray to treat the tote and save it from stains. 2. If you want a crossbody, a good handbag restoration shop can add D rings, then you can add a strap. Just an idea. Gorgeous print!!

that beg is beautiful. i noticed fabric bags are trending. you can pick up a fabric bag anywhere with the same craftsmanship for much less. it doesn't have to be dior to be useful and splashy.

The small size is similar to the Lady Dior medium size which comes with a strap so I think, in my opinion, they won't add a strap as it will be too similar to the Lady Dior or D-lite which usually come in the same print and both cost considerably more making it a cheaper version of the Lady Dior or D-Lite. The D-lite in this print is about $2000 Canadian but you get a strap and a closure and the leather version is a bit more but very limited I understand. But, I completely agree that if they added even double shoulder straps making it similar to the Onthego or Deauville it would definitely make it more versatile. Thanks for sharing Xx.
I ordered one in the medium size and absolutely loved it to pieces. That said, I returned it, I really need a strap and would like feet on the bottom to protect the fabric when placed on a surface. The DLite has feet, why doesn't Dior make this more user friendly? Don't they want to sell bags? If they would give me a strap I would buy the small or medium in a heartbeat! I have the LV leather PM OnTheGo bag and it is a really nice size. But this bag is so special.
How do you find the wear on your LV? I just purchased the black PM OnTheGo and wish it had feet. It’s stunning but I’m nervous about corner wear, etc. Thank you!

Well, as a bag lover I think Dior Book Tote embroidered in Jardin d’Hiver print is not a bag to fill with stuff and take outside. It’s even worse l to imagine it cross bodied. I’m trying to find this bag in brand new condition to keep it as an art piece. I’d never use it as a tote, lol. There are other embroiled prints from the fashion house that I’d totally use it with my daily life. Not just this one. Cheers.

I have one in my collection and 2 things i do for this bag are spraying nano water resistant and putting the handles with twilly. Yeahhh..i dont think it’s worth of money coz after you decide to buy it, you have to buy something else to maintain your bag. By the way, i like the way it looks without strap.
I think hand embroidery is inpossible in terms of costs and consistency. I bought my D-Constellation book tote last summer and althougt I still believe the price is crazy, i am very happy with it as it just beautiful to look at.
Nope it's a no thanks my marc jacobs tote is better because it's more functional. To me it's a waste of money a canvas bag, no strap or closure. Plus I can't even afford it 🙃 😅

I sprayed mine with Carbon Pro as well and it seems to be ok although i am very careful with my booktote

I don't think they will add the strap as it would compete with the DLite. The embroidery is unique, I haven't seen anyone else do it as well.

It's a great little book bag. I like it as a Sunday Bible bag. I will pay for a dupe though. No one needs to pay $5000 to carry a few books.

Yes it is machine embroidered. When refered to handmade i suppose they mean the assembly. There is a video on the Dior how it is made.
