Enjoyed this another video on foot placement in various situations of walking, the last tip is great as how to walk on uneven or slippery surface. My question is in some of your videos on how to climb up the stairs you are placing the heel first just like walking and then roll it to the flat is it correct.
Good observation. Going onto the first step is more like stepping up on a street curb. That is a heel first if coming directly from a nor al stride. Once you are on the steps, then it is flat foot. I probably demonstrated flat foot on the first step in this video to avoid any confusion and because there were only 2 steps.
It really depends if you have walking issues or not. I prefer Vans because they have no arch support or heel lift, so they are fairly minimalist. I you have chronic foot or knee problems, you may need more support.
I think the idea behind Chi walking is terrible and was one of my prime motivators for starting this channel. It is actually counter to Tai Chi fundamentals. We move from our center, not our head and shoulders. We also can’t land with our head and hips over our feet unless we are leaning over In my opinion, Dryer tried to falsely apply some logical aspects of running(landing with your head over your feet) to running. If you watch him walk, he doesn’t even do that. It is a sales gimmick.
I want to make a social media post about your Channel, so more people can get the help they need. Please give me a good first video to recommend newcomers to watch.
That would be greatly appreciated. I would start anyone with the Too 10 Tips. How to Walk Properly -Top 10 Tips with Todd Martin MD ua-cam.com/video/A1A9zwvvskw/v-deo.html

Hello Todd. Would a pistol squat resemble more of a forward or reverse lunge. Not sure how to maintain my core while doing them.
I’ve never done one, so I’m not sure about the mechanics.
Sir what ur thoughts on chi walking that is also good when our shoulders leads and our feets lends just under the hips
