I think it‘s just that the religious people where wishing various punishments on them but he’s saying they’re already punished because they have to endure all night with Ricky making fun of them, at least that’s the way I understood it :)
No actually he is saying that religious people often call people out for thier sins which causes punishments to rain down. But he's saying that Ricky is already calling everyone out in the crowd. So it could be understood as a compliment because he's saying Ricky is doing a good job of putting everyone in their place - an assigning blame where its due He probably prepared this joke before he knew what Ricky was going to say about him. Because in this instance the joke Ricky made wasn't on Colin Firth. Rickys joke was actually on him make up a lie about Colin because he's jealous of his success. But a lot of Rickys jokes are calling out corruption or egos found in Hollywood - which makes Colins joke make more sense
It is nice to see how Ricky and Colin share same sense of humour and like each other.
Colin's laugh is pure perfection
Colin Firth have to be the only person Ricky can call evil harmlessly because everyone knows it's a joke as Colin is a total sweetheart
Did anyone noticed the tiny kick he aimed at Ricky? Reminds me of the men fight he had with Hugh Grant in Bridget Jones Diary. Hilarious!
I was looking for this comment haha
“He’s very racist”. Camera moves to the few black people in the room
He walks like a king
3:01 Meryl's husband not looking too pleased after she kisses Colin ahaha
