Hyundai makes more than cars. They are a mega-corporation and are involved in every aspect of business including steel refineries in Korea and the World. I briefly owned the 2009 Genesis and do appreciate the quietness. Fast forward some years and I have the 2011 EQUUS and it's incredibly reliable in terms of the powertrain, electronics and suspension, Ravi Peiris M.D.
@@orangeblockgarage I believe they still only make one exhaust kit for it, from magnaflow, and at 1700$ (last time I checked) thats faaar too pricey. I wound up buying 2 magnaflow straight thru mufflers and an Xpipe for around $250. Took her to the local speed shop and they bent and welded the rest of the exhaust piping. All told I spent $600. We deleted the secondary cats at first (when deleted they will not throw an engine light) but it was FAR to loud. We deleted the factory resonator, and ofc the mufflers. They weigh around 100 pounds, so along with a killer sound you get a nice weight reduction as well. It looks and sounds essentially just like this > ua-cam.com/video/o5W_i3s_UBk/v-deo.html
I have a 2013 rspec and love it. Flowmaster FX mufflers. on my videos Car is way faster than I would need. Stock audio is great also. I took out the stock sub in the deck and added a Skar 12 inch and it is great!
In the 2015 and up models, the lane departure warning system will actually vibrate the steering wheel when you go over the line while driving. The system can also physically turn the steering wheel so that the car will reposition itself back into the lane it needs to be. All depends on how you set it.
I bought a new 2013 3.8 with the Tech package back in 2014. I only have 35,000 miles on it. This and the fact that it is garage kept and never parked outside, it still looks brand new. The only mods that I've done were the Korean trunk "Wings", and replacing some interior incandescent bulbs with little bright LED's. PS. Black w/ black interior.
Just picked up a 2013.... Best car I have ever had and I have had over 30 vehicles.... Question... where did you get that wonderful steering wheel emblem? I need it for mine I have a cheaper variety
I got a quick question for y’all should one get a r spec or the newer 2015 genny 5.0 ??? Debating whether to get a older less expensive or just get a newer more expensive one?????
You won’t be disappointed by either. This has all the options some newer cars don’t have. Adaptive cruise, rear sun shade, auto dimming and leveling headlights, auto wipers, cooled seats, etc. can’t go wrong with that!
@@orangeblockgarage good deal dude! That's about what mine was for. $13k for. 2012 with 64k miles. That was 2 years ago I think. Considering car prices today you got a good deal
Yep. Still running strong. It’s a blast to drive. I’m not much about badges on cars, so this is perfect for me. I love it and am throughly impressed with Hyundai (Genesis) cars. My next car may either be the new Chrysler 300C 392 or a Genesis G70 3.3T. But for now, this is perfect
@@orangeblockgarage good car taste! I also really like the Chrysler 300 and when I owned the genesis, only other sleeper luxury sedan I wanted was an srt 300 with the 392. The genesis has more power than anyone really needs to be honest but the hemi in the Chrysler would be badass and I just love the look and comfort of those

IF... the windshield wiper motor doesnt fail... the suspension arms don't start creaking... lets be realists.
I own a 2013 in Cabernet Red. Do a rear muffler delete, you will NOT regret it. Trust me, if you think it's too quiet, that will fix it.
Sweet. Looking to do something like that!
@@orangeblockgarage I did a muffler delete and resonator delete.. check my video out!!
⛷저는 2008년식 사고 싶은데 😂
Does the check engine light come on? And if so will a tune fix it?
Have a 2012. Best Sleeper ever. Add an open air cleaner and full exhaust and its a Monster.
What exhaust do you have?

U think I should get one with 200k miles on it for 6.5k
love the genesis, got the 3.8 about 2 weeks ago and the luxury for a 2013 is great and its quick, just need an exhaust
You should look for a 5.0 rspec
More luxury features and way faster. Though the v6 is plenty fast
I'm looking at getting one it's so rare here in Mexico 🇲🇽
OMG I have too comment again, I also love old school shift handles as well
Yo this comment is late as shit to this video post but how do you listen to music I got this car and my aux and Bluetooth won’t let me play music
Aux cord

When I bought it, it came like that. I am not sure!
@@orangeblockgarage Thanks! I found it though....$13 on Amazon!
@@logancanyonrx Some people are crazy enough to buy and install a Korean airbag with the Genesis logo on it, rather than the stick on label.

Don't get the 15 it has the worst transmission
It’s amazing I need more video of this Car
Where did you get your rims man? I have the same car but your rims are way better in my opinion!
Thank you!! Rims are plastidipped professionally
There needs to be a race of this vs the Infiniti m56
Hi, what's the fuel economy so far for this vehicle ? city/highway mpg?
City right around 15- hwy without much wind it’s about 18-19 going 75-80. If you’re in a 55 zone it’s more around 20
@@orangeblockgarage Thanks 😊
How much did you pay?!
2021, I paid $12,500 with 71,000 miles. A steal

I’m looking to get one.
Have you had to do anything other that reg maintenance..? Has anything broke?
There is no eco mode, that’s simply an idiot light
Is this car faster then the 2012 4.6 ???
Much faster, yes
Awesome

Would you be interested in selling it ??
