Regarding your ant invasion, they dislike some essential oil aromas, mainly peppermint oil, tea tree and citrus oil. You could try adding them to the water in your mop bucket, the laundry or even wipe down your bed frame with them as a deterrent.
Also, I remember listening to an interview of a prisoner of Guantanamo bay, he said he would talk the ants and they would respond to him....and of course we know Suleiman (pbuh) also communicated with them. So perhap get down to their level and just ask them to leave 😉

Yes that's true ,I remember we suffered from the ants in summer, tried different detergents, but we saw no difference, so mum tried a different way ,she spoke to them and begged them to leave our house so that we don't harm them , and subahanAllah they disappeared !

I haven't watched the entire video yet, but I just HAD to stop and write the comment as soon as you mentioned ants. I grew up in remote/rural victoria and ANTS were a always a HUGE problem. They're after the cool and/or moisture, which is why they're coming in on hot days. There's a product that we get from the supermarket, actually, it's called "Ant Rid". It's in a little bottle (maybe about 50ml?) which is white plastic, with a black ant on the front and we used to put half a teaspoon (roughly) onto a beer bottle lid (we used beer bottles to make our Passata, not beer!) and put that near the line of ants. They'll drink/take it, and go back to the nests with it and it kills them in/at the nest, so it'll stop them. It works for at least a month at a time!

Salaam! So I live in Texas and have dealt with my fair share of ant invasions; you can mix baking powder and sugar and leave it in little bottle caps close to where ants are coming from. They will take the baking soda sugar back to their queen, and you will get rid of ants from the source

Btw, can you wear wide leg jeans while praying? I don't know, my mom has a no backside policy, 💀 so even if we are wearing flares we have to wear a longer top. I'm feeling conflicted.
If it covers you properly then it’s fine but yes a longer top or jilbab is a must :)

sorry about your ant problem I used to have ants every summer but after I spoke with them and told them to stay away from my house they stopped coming in and stayed outside ants are very inteligent creatures you should try this method it is cheap and very effective

Honestly I often find that pants sometimes cover MORE THAN dresses or abayas or jilbabs because when the wind blows, you cannot see any shape at all. Alhumdulilah I feel as though I am covered with pants, thanks :)

I just want to give you a simple advice .. wearing jeans or generally trousers is not allowed in islam for women because it is imitating men clothes .. i know alot of people will disagree with me but you can look at the fatawah regarding women clothes in islam 💗💗
Sis Allah knows best there are differences of opinions and today we do not only see men wearing jeans, rather there are jeans specifically made for WOMEN so in a society such as this, jeans could definitely be considered proper hijab for a woman provided it covers properly. If it was foreign for a society then yes this would be considered haram, but when it is normal it is considered halal. Alhumdulilah this is why there has been no legislated ruling on what EXACTLY proper hijab looks like, because it’s adaptable to different times and societies based on what is normal to wear for both genders. The same ruling applies to colour; an area in the world where no one wears colour, it would be wrong to wear a bright pink abaya, but a place where colour is the normal, like in the west, it is perfectly okay. :) allahualam.

Imam Ali (as) said to Kumail:
“O Kumail, no doubt these hearts (i.e. minds) are containers, and the best of them are those who retain most. Remember from me what I say; people are of three categories: the learned men (of piety), the students on the path of salvation, and (the third one) the riffraff of the society, following every croak of the crows, bending as the wind blows; never benefiting from the light of knowledge, nor finding a refuge with a strong supporter.
O Kumail, knowledge is better than wealth; for knowledge guards you, while you have to guard wealth; and wealth is diminished when spent, while knowledge grows and increases when put in use.
O Kumail, to have liking and affinity for a learned man is the best way to entrench ones faith in Allah, it enables one to be obedient to Him during lifetime, and to be praiseworthy after one has died.
O Kumail, dividend from wealth disappears with its loss, O Kumail, the hoarders of wealth have died, while the learned men exist for ever; their bodies have disappeared but their teachings and wisdom are ingrained in the hearts.”
And then pointing to his chest, he said: “Here is well-grounded, plentiful knowledge; I wish it had true recipients and adherents, I would have imparted it.
But, unfortunately, some unscrupulous men of understanding have tried to misuse it, using religion as a weapon to earn the worldly gain, and seeking undue power by divine authority over Allah’s creatures, abusing His bounties which He bestowed upon them. So the feeble-minded people accepted them as reliable; or took them as compliant with (divine) wisdom, discarding the true guardians of truth. (The truth is that) such people (who they have adopted as their guides) have no insight into its ramifications; with the result that with the slightest confusion, doubt enters their minds. Neither of them could be the true carrier of knowledge.
And then there are those with insatiable lust, easily misled by the pleasures of flesh, or enticed by accumulating wealth, not at all among those who care for religion. They very much resemble the grazing cattle. Thus, knowledge dies with the death of such carriers.
Yet, the earth is never devoid of either a manifest divine power, or the one in concealment, ensuring that His clear signs are not lost. Surely, with those fewer people of enormous import, Allah protects His proof, till they succeed to transmit it further to their likes, and plant it deep in their hearts. They are the ones overwhelmed by the (true) knowledge of certitude, and have made it easy for themselves to tread on the path which men in luxury found difficult. They derive pleasure and enjoyment from things which repel the ignorant. Though they live on earth with their bodies, their souls hang onto the higher plane. They are the (true) representatives of Allah on His earth, and the ones who invite (people) to His religion.
Alas! How keen I am to have sight of them! And I seek forgiveness from Allah for me and for you all.”
Then he [i.e. ‘Ali (A.S)] withdrew his hand from mine and said: “You may leave when you like.”
