I'm really sad that this is Collab #39 and not a Side Collab like Wheel of Fortune or Fortune Street. I would've loved to see them come back to this every once and a while.
So now that we're a few games in, I'll give a small tip for any newer players out there~ If your going to play in a multiplayer game of OJ, you can actually try out DLC characters you don't own if you join a game in progress! Basically, one person will start the game and the AI's will be randomly chosen from the pool. Its important to note however that you are leaving things up to rng with this, so don't plan on picking specific characters via this method. I should also note I'm not sure if theres a way to choose which 'player' you take over when you join. So there's a bit of rng to that too if there's no actual way to pick. I think there is also a system now that cycles in 2 characters every once in awhile for everyone to be able to play for free. (Unsure if same or different for every person)
If the beginning is any indication: - Jon has visited Earth before or at the very least is well aware of what it is - Emile is visiting Earth for the first time and is excited from the few things he heard about it - Tim has lived on Earth for a long while to call it “home”
So doing a little digging, since it was brought up, you can actually mod cards, as well as voice (you can hear Jon shout "EMILE!" instead of Kyousuke shouting "Kyupita"), bgm (you could actually have Jon's theme actually be Deja Vu instead of sudo-Initial D) and text files (see: voice)
For their themes, I'd love to hear the ones Tim composed on Mario Paint Composer a long time ago (for example, this was the one he made for Jon: ua-cam.com/video/KloRJrHz6qM/v-deo.html ) Plus, it would make it a lot safer on the copyright side of things
There's a hyper card called Special Stage which changes the BGM to Ultimate Weapon Girl; one time when I was playing in a public lobby the card was used, and then someone wrote in chat: "I forgot I have a mod that swaps this music to the Big Bang Theory theme"
The way Emile just thought 'tim's pretty juicy from either end', considered it, and then followed through it. Like he could have stopped himself. You could hear him considering not saying it. And then he did it anyway.
Oh nice, I finally get to be in a TRG video that isn't Thrown Controllers! ... Just kidding, of course. Yuki seems to be a common Japanese name. GMiLP has a video of it up called "KZ - PM Stories, Round 2", just in case if anyone wanted to see the story in full context... Also no, this is not considered an ad, I was only mentioning it because seagulls. XD
So to clarify something about Yuki (Dangerous)... her passive does NOT stop her from gaining stars from neutral mobs, so random fights still are useful to her... just not AS useful. Also, 'Tragedy in the Dead of Night' is a normal card one can run, but her passive lets her turn cards with "Pudding" in their title, like the 'Bad Pudding' Jon started with for example, into extra copies... and they stay in that form even if traded away by a card effect (I'm fairly certain that they return to normal once discarded however, but I'm not 100% sure on this due to the game never letting us see the discard pile) Side Note: Yuki (Dangerous) is also the first character we've seen with a deck building gimmick; as her hyper centralizes around Trap cards, she naturally wants to stack the deck by bringing as many of them as she can.
15:04 No joke, after the last few episodes I made a co-op lobby to fight Big the Johnathan for the Beach Party unlocks, and set the lobby name to be "at the bay they'd be baygulls" 😆
Ironic how Yuki's Evil Mastermind Hyper costs 13 stars... And no, neutral mobs give stars, so Battle spaces are still viable, just only for star normas...
It's a bit of a shame that no one has decided to branch out to other characters. Half of the fun of OJ is trying out different characters to make things more interesting.

Well, with seagulls pecking out QP's final boss, let's cover the main character of Flying Red Barrel who may have or have not shot seagulls at the start of stage 1, Marc! Marc (pronounced with a silent c)'s game, Flying Red Barrel - The Diary of a Little Aviator, is another shmup inspired by the Studio Ghibli film Porco Rosso. It returns to the top down perspective QP Shooting had, but with a twist in that the player's actions (what they shoot, when they shoot, the order of what parts, stage ranking, etc) affect not only some events, but also which ending out of 18 will be used, though the main plot ending stays the same. The game's setting is among various settlements in an era where flight technology has started to boom, and the "Blue Sky Union", aka "The Guild", polices the skies to avoid any troublemakers. No naturally flying people here! Also, everyone is named after alcohol. Marc is a member of the Guild, flying in her red plane known as "Red Barrel" (also her alias, like anyone with a named plane) to do various jobs. She's very much focused on her work to a fault, which gets her into a few conflicts with some people. Depending on how the player plays the game, too, they can make Marc come off brutal as well for shooting down someone! That said, ignoring alternate possibilities to her being murderous, she does try her best to impress her superiors. She's also the youngest pilot in the Guild, having the veteran Islay as her mentor. Throughout Flying Red Barrel, Marc deals with quite some characters. One in particular is Peat, a self-proclaimed rival to her set on trying to demotivate her into quitting the guild, and Marc's actions towards him can determine how he responds in kind. Marc also crosses paths with Fernet, her friend of a higher class whom had become disillusioned with Marc dropping out of the school they both went to in order to join the guild. And for bosses, she can encounter the likes of a sky pirate by the name of Tequila as well as deal with a sleazy merchant named...Merchant? Point is, the game has its share of oddballs. In stage 4, however, things start to get awkward as Marc faces off against Sherry, a former guild pilot who reveals she left due to the guild's policing of the skies going corrupt and not letting people be free in the sky as much as they should. After tangling with her and Bourbon, this concern sets Marc on a course back to town where she finds herself battling the Guild's fighters above the town full of planes in a sight she could only describe as a dream. Depending on her actions, anyone she's on good terms with (Peat, Fernet, Islay, etc.) can come in and help her out as she eventually confronts Guildmaster Malt in one of 100% OJ's bosses: a giant, flying castle to command the skies. Despite the huge threat, Marc fights Malt and manages to succeed, saving the town and the skies from the Guild. A month after the battle, the Guild would disband, with no signs of its glory days around town and with many of its members and staff abandoning their aviator dreams. Marc would set up her own independent "Guild" with help from friends and customers, still flying out to live her dream in her flying red barrel to keep the skies safe. She would also reflect on a moment of her journey, with various possibilities depending on the player's actions; visiting Fernet at her place, still having to deal with Peat's competitive nature, hearing about the trouble of the aforementioned merchant... And so far, that's the latest chapter of her story outside of other OJ crossovers. Unlike Suguri and QP's games, Flying Red Barrel remains Marc's only home game (barring the April Fools variation where everyone is a cute pig person). Well, that's all the protagonists (barring Sora, Aru, and understandably Alicianrone for her unreleased game anyways) down, so I might do some double reviews depending on the amount of lore some other characters have.
I feel like, if Tim ever switched to someone else but wanted to stay dodge heavy, he'd really like Cook or any other Suguri. She's not very combat oriented, but Tim plays pretty passive anyway and could make her work

Wouldn't it be some surprise if someone wins by walking backwards into their base.
Emile's not having much luck so far.
The same thing happened with the last game where the luck came out of nowhere.
REINFORCING SEA GULL!!
MINE! MINE! MINE!
The Seagulls will poke you in the head on the beach Jon
Ahoy!
Earth... it's a pretty place, but I sure wouldn't want to live there. I mean, have you met the locals?
Think they should all try different characters, just for some variety.
To answer what Emile asked about mods changing card, yes they can
Ah yes the best men facing the best girl in the game in terms of looks.
That sax, tho.
i would just say you got lucky that the chosen A.I was the DLC Yuki i use Yuki as my main and lets just say with attack+2 and a hyper that takes a chance to either KO your self or anyone instantly its a nasty card to the user or anyone on the board
Wait there are *2* cat girls in this game?
I think there might be a few more.
@@nerdicusdorkum2923 meow uwu?
QP is not a cat girl, but a dog girl... and not just a dog girl, but a pomeranian. Yuki is the resident cat girl of the cast.
0:43 Oh, *"100%"*
I couldn’t convince three friends to play it with me. Im kinda sad about it
10:15
Yes, you can actually.
Oh hey, the AI is my main. Nice.
Seagulls are the jerks of the bird world honestly.
Well I found my player if I ever get this game. Cat girl evil master mind. Very my thing. Okay her theme is good too.
