The problem with the flow meter that ,anyone can tamper the flow;if the y can make it the flow run through the machine with a lock facility with remote senser and alarm the nit might be helpful.But similer product is already in the market with patent protected.

Thanks for the comment. We have designed the to be simple. If we add a lot of features the cost will also increase. It costs one fourth of the existing units in the market. If some one tampers the flow nurses can notice it and correct. Imagine a situation where nurses don't notice it and some adverse event happens. We have been granted a patent in India.

Product is ok, but, nurses usually not sit in station, they are always roming there alotted area. Therefore,they can easily maintain i v line with out this equipment.
Second thing, i v line usually block due to swell the area.that time they will put another cannula, and solve make clear this issue.
Third thing , usually,in private room ,stable patients are staying with bistander,if it is finished or slowly moving,they will inform in nursing station

this product might be benefits in developed countries,they have similar items but this is also good.

Thanks for the comment. It's not that easy to maintain an iv line. Just like you mentioned if the iv get blocked due to occlusion or vein out. It needs a recannualtion. If the correction is done at the same time with an alert from dripo recannualtion can be avoided and nurse can save time. Swell in the area might be due to extravasation and it can be avoided if the alert are given at the right time.
It's not about having flow. It's about correct flow rate as well. Most of the bystanders may not know if the flow is correct or not. Also we have seen instances of blood loss when patients slept night. There are studies which says that adminstration error is more than 40 percent. We are aiding a small portion of it. But considering the number of infusions it's very huge.

@@antonygince6071 yes. This system has been listed by who as a good innovation for developed countries. Our hospitals may not have the capital to have an infusion pump for all rooms. But they can afford to have this units. Understand their error train nurses to improve accuracy.
