Was showing this to my 79 year old father- he was so impressed! he now regrets not sending us to classes. I think he was afraid, we may have used it on him :) hahah. Anyway, this girl has skill! All the best little one! -x-
Haha this is where I went to judo too. Good ol times. Judo and Krav Maga helped me a lot during my hand to hand combat tests in the army. Judo is highly recommanded
320 looks like Yoko wakare, what the actual ?!? That's a throw nobody has pulled off since mifune. Props to the ref in this video too who is fantastic. This girl is so good!
Ebe Zwaag i had just got my black belt in jiu jitsu an i was training for a fight, after the fight i took some time off, i was supposed to go to my coaches school where he trained for my promotion an we just never got around to it, we started getting another guy ready for his bout an couldn't find the time
@kyleOproduction : the white and red belt are used to make it easier for the judges to know who's who,if she really had a red belt, then she was a 9th dan,and if you ever get that grade, you won't be younger than 60... (sorry for the bad english,i'm only 13)
In judo one person wears a white belt and the other wears a blue or red (depending) for scoring. I don't think any tournaments could do that since white & yellow belts usually go in a beginners division. :)
@alto7053 Do you know anything about judo yourself? It takes years for people to develop good technique in judo, and obviously this girl is learning since she is taking part in competitions and winning. Besides how old is she here - 7 or 8? She moves a lot, tries to break balance, tries to use techniques. What else do you want from someone her age? I think if she can be this good now, she has a really bright future ahead of her. I think your comment is totally narrow- minded.
dayuum, she's good! :P probably better than me and i'm a 16 year old brown belt! (our judo club is non-competitive so we don't get quite the same experience) :P
it goes White, yellow, orange, green, blue, brown, black red is to symbolize witch player is the blue side and which player is on the white side, basically it's to tell who gets the point.
both girls have probably orange or yeloow bands, so they match perfectly, only in compitition they get white/red bands so it is easier to see who is who !!!
@underwaterireland. Anyone putting a negative spin on this is an idiot! That girl is amazing! It's fantastic to see a little girl with such raw talent. Judo is such a good Martial arts for kids and a great grounding on generally being able to "take care of yourself".
Doesn't a white belt represent a novice? and red is a higher wouldn't this give an advantage? Mistake me if I'm wrong not very smart with judo :) thanks.
It's more like instructing. And it's allowed yes. They're kids jeesh. The respect in the sport comes before, during and after the match. Respecting the opponent is key, and maybe a way to gain friends. The slow-mo is to show the technique better. If you want to see people greet and 'bow' to eachother, then search for it somewhere else. Or maybe you already have.
When I was about 15 3 kids fronted me in the schoolyard when no one else was about. One of them took a punch at me & I threw him with a shoulder throw. They never bothered me again.
as far as little kids fighting is concerned... look at all the other sports available and judge which is the best (safety wise) Judo would be near the top. Kids gett thier feelings hurt all the time more so in judo because its all them... they cant blame a goalie or a pitcher and parents have to explain how to lose gracefully and motivate them to improve.
Hope you know that white and red belts are only used to better show who is who in match.. Atleast in my country (Norway, European country) you have to be yellow belt to participate in a competition. (atleast as a child.)
No creo que sea lo ideal poner niños.con tanta diferencia técnica, es solo para que se luzca el que tiene grado superior. Puede que sean una.misma categoría, pero el nivel es muy notorio.
@SmileyGeorgie errr i really dont know where you got red from... there is no belt color red AT ALL as i said before you might find Red in the 6-10th dan category as red - white...
awesome and totally cute how she hopped around after each fight
Was showing this to my 79 year old father- he was so impressed! he now regrets not sending us to classes. I think he was afraid, we may have used it on him :) hahah. Anyway, this girl has skill! All the best little one! -x-
if she keeps it going and keeps getting better, by the time shes old enough she'll be in the olympics! This little girl is AMAZING
Haha this is where I went to judo too. Good ol times. Judo and Krav Maga helped me a lot during my hand to hand combat tests in the army. Judo is highly recommanded

Ebe Zwaag sweet, my coach said that i should have had my green, but i never went for promotion :(

my girls have fought since 4yr old. no injuries knock on wood.
They are 9 and 6 and sometimes they win sometimes they lose.
the second throw was really great.....she uses the kuzuchi like a game.....i think....she has a good coach.
she's really good for her age, with some good practice in technique she could become a great fighter one day
The essence of judo aims at ippon. Please become strong. From Japan
omg shes good . was she fighting all white belts or was that the person she was going against was the same rank and had to wear a different color belt

it goes White, yellow, orange, green, blue, brown, black
red is to symbolize witch player is the blue side and which player is on the white side, basically it's to tell who gets the point.

both girls have probably orange or yeloow bands, so they match perfectly, only in compitition they get white/red bands so it is easier to see who is who !!!
Was the competition based in Galway or does she belong to a club in Galway?
@underwaterireland. Anyone putting a negative spin on this is an idiot! That girl is amazing! It's fantastic to see a little girl with such raw talent. Judo is such a good Martial arts for kids and a great grounding on generally being able to "take care of yourself".
See you in Tokyo 2020 or 2024 Paris ? Which target
Doesn't a white belt represent a novice? and red is a higher wouldn't this give an advantage? Mistake me if I'm wrong not very smart with judo :) thanks.

Kids gett thier feelings hurt all the time more so in judo because its all them... they cant blame a goalie or a pitcher and parents have to explain how to lose gracefully and motivate them to improve.
she's a good fighter, ignore the haters
Wow, This girl has been taught properly!

Hope you know that white and red belts are only used to better show who is who in match.. Atleast in my country (Norway, European country) you have to be yellow belt to participate in a competition. (atleast as a child.)

La niña es una verdadera maquinita de lucha.
There's no "red Belt", it's just for the Tournament that one of the Opponents wear a red Belt.
Did she stick with it for 10 years?
No creo que sea lo ideal poner niños.con tanta diferencia técnica, es solo para que se luzca el que tiene grado superior. Puede que sean una.misma categoría, pero el nivel es muy notorio.
すげーな
