@@amysin963 everyone who I know who is approved for disability said they have to contact a lawyer to take the agency to court. Otherwise they almost always say no. The lawyer's fee is based upon a percentage of what you take in. It goes back to the first dates you applied...a friend first applied in mid 1990s...approved in 2015....he had a lump sum of something like $25,000., plus half of his yearly salary for the last 3-5 yrs from date he was approved. At that point he wasnt making much at all. He lives in a house his 90 yr old mom owns but taxes are way more than his entire yearly income. If he ever inherits the house...it will be a sticky situation....how do others on US disability do this?
Thanks. Very informative. I have long covid with chronic fatigue. I have had adrenal gland deficiency for years. I’m on work short term disability now and it’s looking like I need to go on work long term. It goes through a third party. The stress added… like you said every case is different..

So i was approved for LTD through my previous employer for PTSD , but not MEcfs, so the whole two years vs longer term like mentioned here. You're saying SSDI is likely to only approve me for that as well if i use their attorney group the LTD carrier recommended?
really good video
I have hypoxia (oxygen deprivation) from Long Covid. This is a very useful video. I shall apply.
Long covid has destroyed my life. Thank you for this information.
I got approved for LTD with a two-day CPET, but I keep getting denied for SSDI. I’m in the appeal process. It’s ridiculous and demoralizing.

The most humiliating experience of my life. Basically the system doesn't like losing a contributor to their funding!!!!
