- To celebrate the 20th anniversary of David Lynch’s ultimate classic, MULHOLLAND DRIVE, we are thrilled to present a brand new 4K restoration supervised by David Lynch himself.
Part one: she found herself inside the perfect mystery.
Part two: a sad illusion.
Part three: love.
Opening in the city of dreams, Los Angeles, this dream-like tale opens with a femme fatale (Laura Harring) who finds herself concussed following a car accident, unable to remember who she is. She finds refuge at Betty’s (Naomi Watts) house, an aspiring actress eager to become a star. Unable to remember her identity, she tells Betty her name is Rita.
The two women discover her handbag is crammed with wads of dollar bills and a mysterious blue key. Together, they set out to discover Rita’s real identity, quickly finding themselves in a web of intrigue that takes them to the dark heart of Hollywood.

Very exciting. This is a must-own for me.
As collectors go, I'm a minimalist, so I'm looking forward to a follow-up release in an amaray case. 👍
❤
We'll never get to see a new David Lynch film. It was looking less likely and now it's final and I don't like it one friggin' bit. At least our lives overlapped with his career... all those angry dogs, fires, electricity, smoke, steam, and paint... DIVE DEEP!
Looks gorgeous, but a little dark. Just like the film!
If you have a good tv, darkness/contrast won't be an issue.
Also, there's a significant difference between 1080p and 4k but you are 100% right, it is a dark movie and it's most likely shot that way in accord with Lynch's vision.
I do know that David Lynch was very happy with this new 4k-cut.
He's a perfectionist who doesn't want his old, re-released movies to look like 💩 and who can blame him?
RIP ❤
Weirdly they only offer the 4K restoration as an HD Blu-ray release in my country
I thought Criterion was also making its 4K disc
They do have some other Lynch movies.
My copy of Eraserhead is from the Criterion Collection.
Not something i'd normally buy due to their steep prices but i got really lucky and found a copy on sale for like 8 bucks😳
Holy moly the clarity of the picture on that movie!
It's from 1977 and looked better/cleaner than a lot of the releases coming out these days,
I know it has been restored in 4k, but damn!
Are all Criterion-movies this good?
This movie has been released on Criterion, you were correct🎯
There’s 2 4K versions now. UK 4K, and Criterion
The most complex flik about purgatory ever. Most take the easy way out and make a film about ghosts.
