Lovely flight! That's my favorite time to fly - just as the lights of night start coming on. Well done and thanks for posting. (T-hawk owner.)

Really like the Tomahawk for the spacious cabin and visibility. Good performance, won't get the numbers a Diamond does, but still a fun plane to fly.

Didn’t realize until the very end that you and the Stationair were making calls to the same airport because you both pronounced “Cameron” so differently. Did most of my training in the PA38. Loved it.

Ya I think I always say Cameron Park and some just say Cameron. PA38 is a fun plane to fly. Sporty, economical, and lots of room inside for a two place.

What size Ipad are you using..i like that glareshield mount idea..i am trying to figure out what to do for my Tommy. I have nothing to the right of my radio stack in the center at all..so i could mount mine slightly left and angle it towards me and radio and transponder still in view..i don't know yet..but like your idea..i like how you think.

Kevin, so I actually use a yoke mount on the glareshield it’s all RAM components. I think having the claw grip like that is better than the actual glareshield mount RAM makes. It pinches and holds. I will notice a slight indent when I remove it because it squeezes the soft wrap on the glareshield, but I remove it after each flight and when I fly again I can’t even tell it was on there. I have two radios and audio panel behind the iPad mount but can easily see around it still and manipulate the knobs. I use an iPad Air, but I am considering going to a iPad mini. I also have mine angled towards me. I am adding two G5’s and a Garmin 175 this summer so I may move it more to the right like you were thinking. Hope this helps.

My favorite cross country so far. The views were outstanding. I want to make that trip again. I actually have a lot more footage and I am planning on adding a longer version of that short trip video, just have to find the time to edit it all. My uncle was a long haul driver and did the California to Washington route for years until his back finally gave out on him. He retired in Washington.

@@pistonstwinsandturbines2632 small world, I did that too for years..up till 2000..then started doing the dispatch/ broker thing. I love Norcal, there are so many great sights. I would love to fly the coast someday.
