Thank you for taking the time to watch my fun little trip to Enchanted Rock. There are still so many great parks and attractions within Texas that I hope to hike and highlight in the coming weeks and months - both for recreation and business. If you see another much shorter version of this video floating around, I am also creating that one for my Real Estate channel series of "Places to Hike & Camp in Texas". Please watch and like that one if you would 😇...I'm still growing that channel. I'm excited to combine my passion for the outdoors to share on both platforms and hopefully demonstrate what Texas has to offer for visitors or any outdoor enthusiasts looking to relocate here. I'm already planning for my next outing and can't wait! 😘
Oh Tracy, this video took me back quite a few years, I hiked the summit a few times and walked the trails but never camped. It is soooo beautiful and “enchanting”. Thought we would see the aerial shots but maybe you’re saving it for another time. I loved this video and am very much looking forward to more of this beautiful state. Some of the topography is mind blowing. Extremely smart idea for your real estate site. 🙏🏻🥰
Thank you Anita 🤗 I did include some drone footage in the very beginning intro. It's kind of funny though because I'm new to this whole drone thing and just learning how to fly it...I thought I did a better fly by of Enchanted Rock but in my nervousness of flying it out of where I was allowed and disturbing hikers, I hastily brought it back too soon before I centered En Rock in the view. I only had one chance at it this time. Ah well, I will continue to get better at it. I will be doing a review video of this drone soon too. We really need to do a local hike together. Love and hugs 🥰 🪻🩷
I'm glad I got to explore the area. I can see why I love the desert section of the PCT so much. This landscape is one I feel at home in. But I am open to learning to love the deep woods too. Totally different flavors. Are you section hiking the PCT this year, or the whole thing? I sure wish I could do the whole thing again...I get further each year 😂 ...But unfortunately we really need to save money. I'm still hoping for OR, WA, and possibly some of CA. I'll have to see how it plays out this year, timewise. Happy holidays 🎄🤗
@@TikiBirdTracy I'm 69 years old so I dont think I'll ever try and do it all in one year. I think I can do about half of it in one year because I dont like being away from home for 6 months in a row. I'm still debating on the Sierra section again for a third time or doing Oregon and Washington for the first time but I always start at Mexico because it's a nice section to do a 250 mile training hike to Big Bear. If I had a house sitter I might be more willing to try before it's too late :o)
Thank you for taking us along on your journey. With me it is not if I will fall, but when and how many times. I am glad I learned how to land years ago in a martial arts class... this is absolutely beautiful beautiful area of the country. Thank you again for taking us along on your adventure.
Haha, sounds looks you landed more gracefully than I did. And me getting up was probably entertaining for those people to watch. I felt like a ton of bricks trying to stand up 😂 Thank you for watching. I'm glad you liked the area. Texas Hill Country is a gem 🩷🪻
I loved this video since I’m a Texas girl. It is apparent to me, since I’ve been there before, how experienced you are in hiking and trail finding. The trails were confusing to me and the rock scrambling a little intimidating. Yet you made it look so easy. I guess you can thank the PCT for that. I’d love more videos like this of our Texas trails. Utah and California aren’t the only beautiful places. 😊
What a cool trip! I haven't spent any time in Texas so it's fun to see new areas. This area definitely giving me So Cal vibes. Great, informative and enjoyable video!🌻💛
Thank you! I had a great time. Went too fast as usual. There are lots more places for me to visit in Texas still. It will be so fun creating my video series for this. Glad you enjoyed 🤗🩷🪻
Thanks for sharing! We haven't been there in a long time! I think we went during the summer when we first moved here! It was a little tough but we did it coming down is a little tricky but I figured out that if i did a zig zag on the way down it made it a little easier!
❤❤😂, the worst part of cold soaking is emptying the jars of their original contents... Not. The green glow is a healthy thing in a composting toilet in that area of the country... I love the cave at that park... the summit has a nice views. Safe travels.
Thanks for taking us along on your outing! Beautiful Enchantment Rock. Next time you visit Ocean Park, let me know! I live in Ocean Park too. I have lived here since 1973 and know so many amazing trails I love to hike!I have a few slide shows on my channel here. But since my husband passed away, solo hiking is hard. If you ever need a hiking partner, let me know!❤ Happy Trails!
Thank you for watching! I will check out your sideshows. OP looks like a great place to live. We're considering a property there for retirement to be close by family up there. So much to explore still in WA! Maybe we can connect in the future 🩷🪻🙏
I was so excited to see you out and about in my neck of the woods/hills😂😂! That is one of my favorite parks but it has been a while since we have been up there! I would love to do a couple days back packing trip sometime, it has been years. Thanks for taking us along! ❤
I love Enchanter Rock! I took one of my kids there two weekends ago, and though it was rainy and the elevated trails were closed, we still had a good time hiking all around the loop trail. I've never gone camping there, but definitely may consider it in the future!
I’m planning on doing exactly this with my black lab in late September for my 40th birthday. (One of 4 stops on a week-ish long road trip around TX) Taking notes. I’ve backpacked before, but I love seeing what to expect when Sirius and I get out there.
That sounds like a great trip. Hopefully the weather won’t be quite as hot in late Sept but it can be up until about late Oct. Thank you for watching! 😃🌻
My husband and I went to Fredericksburg November 8th. We were thinking about hiking up Enchanted Rock. Unfortunately, my hubby wasn’t feeling well. I’ve been following your PCT journey. I’m planning on hiking it in 2026. I need to get a few things sorted at home before hitting the trail.
Fredericksburg is a great town. Do you live in Texas or are you just visiting? That's awesome that you are planning to hike the PCT in '26. Have fun preparing! Thank you for folding along with me. I still have a lot more of the trail to complete. I'm hoping all comes together so i'll be able to knock out a large section this year. 🪻
Hi Tracy! Been following you on Lone Star Trail and went to look to see if you uploaded a new video and they are all gone! What happened? Are you okay???
Hi Pamela, Sorry for the confusion. I opted to remove the videos and redo them into a compilation video of my entire trip. I won’t have a lot of time to work on the remainder of them in the coming weeks with work and I didn’t get a lot of views for them so thought they must not be interesting enough for me to put all the work into them. I will have something up soon. Thank you for checking in and I am great! I actually ended up with 152 miles in the end!!
@@TikiBirdTracy glad your okay! And that makes me sad you have so little views! I love watching you hike and the places you go! Learning about so many different trails I didn't know existed! The Lone Star trail looks fabulous! Well, have a great day! Happy Trails. Looking forward to seeing more videos!
I can understand that. I do prefer the wide open spaces. It's more comforting to me. Deep woods are pretty but I find them to be gloomy for some reason. I'm trying to change that the more I hike through different terrain but desert landscape will always be my favorite 😍 🩷
@ComfyCreations I think it's sensory overload, haha. Too much happening and I can't process all that's around me if I can't see through. Open space feels safe (ironically).

That area looks kind of like Warner Springs. I think the similar plants on the PCT are wild cucumber. Nice to see you back out there.
