The ABSOLUTE funniest thing about Sukuna nearly killing Mahito for "daring" to touch his soul a second time... is that Yuji basically drove a car into Mahito's living room and Sukuna punched Mahito for daring to have his house in the way of Yuji's car. "No one in this world has ever been more conceited than Sukuna." Yep!

The idea of an antagonist growing along with the Protagonist has always been so interesting to me. Rather than like, the antagonist being at their peak and the Protag being not nearly as powerful for 95% of the series. I think that's one of the reasons I like Mahito so much. He's compared to a child. But he's very quickly growing and adapting to the world around him. In the small amount of time between his first fight with Nanami and this one, he learned Domain Expansion. Something Nanami couldn't attain even after YEARS. A villain who grows is truly a dangerous one
Mahito is what Shigaraki should have been in MHA. But for some reason Hirokoshi never made Shigaraki as interesting as Mahito, despite Shigaraki having significantly more screen time than Mahito.

i LOVE a villain that is completely gone and irredeemable in every way, i think too much emphasis gets put on villains that have understandable motives these days
JJK is great because it kinda has both kinds, and both are written very well.
Nanami is such a great character, he has legitimate reasons for leaving the Jujutsu world and just taking a normal salary job, but when he realized how worthless a job like that really is he reconsidered. At least as a Jujutsu Sorcerer he can help normal everyday people like that baker by protecting them from curses. Also it's worth noting that it's really only Yuji who has anything to gain by breaking into domains, any other sorcerer that doesn't have Sukuna inside them would be making themselves vulnerable by breaking into a domain, so normally when you make a domain you don't even bother trying to prevent someone from breaking in because it would be reckless or suicide for anyone other than Yuji.

Just a reminder once you finish season 1 there is a movie you need to watch called JJK Zero before season 2 to follow the order. Can't wait for them to get to Season 2 one of the best anime shonen arcs of all time

Self Embodiment of Perfection is always just so mesmerizing to watch.
Truthfully when I first nanamis character I wasn’t crazy about him and didn’t think I would like him, but seeing that small backstory and how he sees value in things made me love him. He cares so much to protect the young and those that aren’t strong enough to protect themselves cause he sees more value and profit in that then doing some skeezy money grubbing job.
Also in case it wasn’t clear, Sukuna being annoyed at the domain is very specific to Mahito’s technique, since it directly affects the soul and Sukuna is way too prideful to let anyone just touch his soul, if it was any other domain he wouldn’t really care.

10:46 this is in general true for Jujutsu sorcery: giving something up gains something else in return. In this case a barrier strong from the inside is weak from the outside. But Nanami gave 2 other examples earlier: explaining your technique to someone makes it more effective, because they get the chance to understand it (you can’t lie about it but being intentionally misleading or leaving out details is fair game). Nanami’s “overtime mode” is another example, by limiting his cursed energy during regular working hours he gets a massive boost in energy if he has to work overtime.
Nanami’s voice actor is my favourite. He’s so great.
And soundtrack goes really hard when Mahito opens his domain expansion, which both has a cool name, visual look as well as being DANGEROUS as heck. (Although being sorta “ultimate attacks” I guess most domain expansions are)

At this moment Mahito begin to level up and learn to create his "Domain Expension". And Mahito is afraid to catch Yuji in his domaine because it could touch the soul of Sukuna and this time , no warning , Sukuna will kill him.
11:20 : Mahito can touch the soul of someone and change it but if he want to touch the soul of Yuji , he will touch also Sukuna's soul. And he didn't like it that's why the first time Mahito tried to touche Yuji's soul , Sukuna warning him to not do it again. But when Yuji enter in the Mahito's domaine, it's automatic that he will touch the soul of Sukuna. So he get severely touched for punish him.

Mahito is also a baby curse. It’s why he’s more childish but also cause that’s just how he is. At this point he’s around 2-4 months old I think? He’s pretty young and he’s already gained a domain which like 70% of sorcerers never achieve in their whole life.
Nanami said protect essential workers lol. Also if you guys want to react to some live action shows I would like to recommend Hannibal and Black Sails. Mahito’s domain expansion reminded me of Hannibal and Black Sails is like good game of thrones but make it pirates. Oh also Maggie Smith’s son stars in it. One last thing I love that Morgan’s sweater matches her hair she looks great.
Super minor thing but since CR subs scuff stuff sometimes, there's a small mistranslation when Nanami talks about Sukuna this ep. He says "Tenjō Tenge Yuiga Dokuson", which means "Throughout Heaven and Earth, he alone is the honored one". Just a little extra info to keep in the pocket :)

The whole Domain situation with Sukuna is very specific to Mahito only. Mahito’s technique is to transfigure your soul upon physical contact
A Domain Expansion is just an enhanced version of your ability but you’re able to get a guaranteed hit no matter what as long as the person is in your domain. With Mahito this allows him to transfigure you without touching you. When Yuji broke into the domain, Mahito ACCIDENTALLY touched Sukuna again which was why Sukuna was able to attack him.
So don’t think that bringing in Yuji to a Domain means Sukuna can come out, he can’t. Its just a Mahito specific thing
