As a comparison to the past, I was standing in almost the exact same spot as at this moment from my archival EL Mansfield to Kent video. • Erie Lackawanna Mansfi...
I watch a lot of recent rail activity, this is a cut above the rest, beautiful scenery, photography and subject matter, nostalgic and yet recent- true artistry, EXCELLENT!!!!
Very cool video
Awesome Catches
28:38 Holy Shit! That's me!! 🤣
I appreciate the nice weather/green foliage videos.
It reminds me of warmer times coming up.
As I sit here freezing.
There’s a very good chance I’m one of the conductors in this video. I was working the Cleveland job pretty much right after we got the line to Cleveland back.
If it was a nice Monday or Thursday I was almost always out.
Does the Wheeling look for already promoted engineers or from your conductor craft?
Thank you for sharing. Very much enjoyed.👍
Sweet video!
Nice
Nice! There's got to be a story behind that geep riding on AAR Type B trucks. Also, do you have any footage from farther up the line in Cleveland, or has it all disappeared under that Morgan's Run (?) bike path?
It's a bike trail past the former location of Harvard Tower where it once crossed the PRR (now NS). The tracks are active as far as E 93rd St, which is only a couple blocks from the cemetery. If you're looking on Google Maps the stone place on E 93rd is getting rail service again, and the Wheeling delivers empty gons and takes scrap steel from Ferrous Metal Processing on Aetna Rd.
9:08 how?
