I totally agree. This is a magnificent game, but the fragmentation of the servers is something atrocious for the community. I think every new player should play the "first season" where he can finish the (beautiful) campaign in his own time. Only after finishing it, he can go into the current season. Obviously he will not be as competitive as older players, but it is ok. So all players can play the same content together.

The reason they gave for not including S2 and S3 for the S1 rewards is complete bull. If they can't add new rewards to an ongoing season they have massive issues on a fundamental core design level.. But i really agree with your take on the solution a 100%. It would also make total sense from a balance perspective. The Upside to the rewards and changes to S1, is that it is actually way more fun to play S1 than it is to play S2 and S3 right now, for me. Because of the outrageous power creep that the new broken champions of S3 have, it makes the game Not fun to play. I would not like to skip a season for the reason that i would lose out on important champions that are specific to that season, champions like Elminster or Drizzt do Ur'den. It also means i would not have the seasonal resources to buy things form the seasonal shop.
One big thing that would be great for players is being kept up to date on what's going on. It's fine dev's working on the game, but not getting the right information can become confusing to players. Also, People may think that season 2 and season 3 are being greedy asking for the same 'bonuses' as season 1. They are not, all they are asking for is to be treated the same way as season 1. The problem is, nothing information wise is being updated, so people don't have a clue so it's no wonder they are a little annoyed. If this game isn't careful, streamers will start leaving, and so will their player base followers
Its just S3 and its already complex. If they dont fix things soon, in future seasons like S10, they will need Loki to keep the different "timelines" together....
New player who finished season 1(basic storyline) will come to season 4 against players who have 40-50 leg cgaracters full booked, no chance to compete with them, that doesn't make sense

Yes because implementing Rewards into the game is so difficult that they practically do it every single day. No one is asking for them to implement the structure they are developing for dungeons into the other season, And that is what they were talking about when they claimed that implementing would be difficult. They would only have to change around some of the places in which you would have to go in order to proceed with having the same rewards into the other seasons, Because if it was so hard to do then why do we get updates to rewards such as Hero training or hard training. It was a PR BS answer they put out to try and calm the flames that is all it was, Too bad didn't work out in there favor. Guarantee We won't ever see a reward structure like they pulled in Season 1 for another season or two, And even some of the people I know that just started are getting iffy about this game if this is how they treat there loyal customer base.

They need to allow players to bounce around seasons they have already completed. Also, season reset forces players to invest hours and hours grinding, which forces the game to be 3 month of intensive focus. This is exhausting for casual players. They need to introduce a casual gameplay mode for casual players. Every season they need to stop being lazy and write a new narative for all the lands. Every Season needs to be a new period of the land and new story throughout the land, not just a simple additional land with a simple additional story. The whole map needs a new story. This will keep casual players engaged and spending money.
About the balancing as someone who is a little spender Im feel like Garius is way too strong and destroys creativity in regards to your team composition because he is pretty much always the best choice.
Are they gonna refund all players all the $ they spent once they implement this reset ? Hell no. There would be a massive revolt from whales if they did it

This game is a rat race for the leaderboard. you cant let a new player start in the new season they might not even end up in top 300. they have to compete vs players that been farming legy heroes and artifacts for over seasons while they have nothing.
Damn i wanted to get into this game but i keep seeing all the stuff about seasons... i gotta say i would always be annoyed seeing future content that i have to wait for that others have access too... was like playing black desert and always being behind the asian server having to just watch and wait

They will literally lose the will to play the game because there's nothing to fight for because they might have one or two legendary on their account.

I have never understood why mobile games develop games that are not inclusive and equal for every player. It seem like a counter productive development system. If they want seasonal then copy the console game destiny 2 . That's how you do seasonal play correctly. Every player new or otherwise starts on the same servers but new players have limited access The first season is used as a tutorial and then you open up to the main world. You can complete any season after, at your leisure and there are limited rewards especially associated with each season which encourages players to play through the seasons. They don't have to. That is how console games work and have work for years
