I got the T150 about 8 months back as a test unit. The force feedback wasn't strong enough. Like any sim race addict, I modded it - replacing the feed back motor with a motor from a washing machine. I broke both wrists after rolling over a few pebbles. Luckily I'm out of hospital now, my wrists are finally starting to heal up and I am able to now feed myself. So, you can understand my surprise when I saw this thrustmaster pop up in my sub list today. Overall, a great wheel for cheap. Just don't sacrifice Mother's washing machine with the lure of modding for some extreme feedback.
Glad to see Thrustmaster doing something for starting simracers, very nice you can upgrade the pedals and even the shifter can connect.. I was pissed at Logitech for removing the DFGT and therefor removing that entrylevel.. I own a T500 now but started back in the day with a DFGT which gave me hours and hours of fun times.. Anyway glad to see Thrustmaster is talking over that role and getting more people into our awesome hobby without having to fork over loads of cash just to start off. (Shame on you Logitech 👎🏻)
Use the hard mount point to attach it, if u dont have a rig u can attach a piece of wood to the hard mounting points and clamp the wheel to ure desk with the wood u attached to the weel
If anyone has a broken spring in these pedals, you can replace it with springs from a 6 inch plastic clamp (look up on amazon for SE 3286PS) Also substituting the spring on the brake pedal with one of these will give you more resistance for better braking.
Hey Inside Sim Racing. I watched the G920 review video a couple of months ago and I was going to leave a comment on that video but I was afraid you weren't going to see it so that is why I'm posting it here. In the video John said "It's the first wheel by logitech for anyone xbox generations". There is actually a logitech wheel that was made for the xbox 360 called "DriveFx". It's wheel rim is 10 inches in diameter. It only has 90° of rotation and it has the "X" "Y" "B" "A" buttons and a D-pad. You can buy one on ebay as low as 30 US dollars and it comes with a plastic two pedal set. It is all wired and it uses Axial Feedback.
Man, you're being polite about the clamp. I had Thrustmaster wheel a while back and if you take it on and off the desk often then the bolt will worn out very quickly. Good thing I contacted the service and they send me a new one in just a few days. If it actually cost less than 200 Euros then I might replace my G27 with this because it's rubber and it has 1080 degrees. Believe it or not I'm using G27 for many years now but I'm allergic to leather.
FYI i just bought a t150(blue) and the pedal faces ARE adjustable, you remove the face screws and there are multiple holes on the pedal shafts for different angles... I also owned the MOMO black and am happy with the similarities to it but also the upgrades 10 yrs of advancement have given this low buck set. This is a great beginner wheel for a desk driver and I can say within my first three laps on iracing's pick up cup at charlotte I notice a marked improvement in lap times
Glad you mentioned the Logitech Momo. I'm still using my now 12 year old Logitech Momo Racing as I can't afford a new wheel, but I have a number of top 5 positions in Project Cars's time trials so that should prove that its still a pretty decent wheel even by today's standards.
Darin, if you feel any force feedback deadzone at center of a wheel in project cars go into the calibrate force feedback menu in the controller settings and turn up the deadzone removal slider until it is responsive at center. If you feel any oscillations while driving then turn it down one click. I have it at .02 removal and .01 falloff on the TX and T300 and it feels great. No deadzone in FFB
Mine will arrive today, after I go to work (damn it,) thanks for a great review to assist in my decision to buy this. As a non hardcore race guy, I had no intention of spending a bunch of cash. I own and still use the Momo Black wheel and pedal to this day and like it, just wanted better turning radius and a larger wheel. This should fit the bill perfectly.
id love you to start to get a car sideways and let go of the wheel and see how it spins back and re-acts to a car drifting. lots of guys buy wheels to drift and testing that motion would be a great help..
+atheosxgaming Thats a nice idea but, isn't that heavily influenced by a good FFB setup within the game? might give a bad idea of the wheel if using the default like these guys.
+José Pedro Vidal Pinho de Oliveira Santos no, I think it's a great idea because we will be able to see how quickly the wheel reacts to counter steer, hence showing us how fast the motor inside the wheel actually works
I was waiting for something like this. I wanted something with 1080 degrees. But it was either too expensive or just simply didn't have it. I was going to get a g27, but the shifter only has 6 gears... and alot of cars in todays video games has 7. I can't wait for this wheel.
I tried to decide between t150 and g29 and I pick t150. I think these would be a fair comparison even if the price was exactly same for both. Leather on g29 is sure nicer but t150 looks good too. I only wish it was all black like xbox version which in my opinion looks much better.
My problem with this wheel is the term "entry level wheel." To me that means something that will need replaced soon. So it's better just to buy the best at first and be done with it.
This looks promising. This wheel would not have been my first choice but everything is sold out right now and the mark-up on wheels is insane. Amazingly I found this at Walmart for $199 and I can upgrade the pedals, etc down the road when things recover and prices normalize. I don't even know how serious I will get. I mostly play Wreckfest for quick rounds of fun. I have been playing with an X-box controller, but once I saw someone playing it with a wheel I had to have one.
Thank you for your good Reviews. i was digging around for a entry lvl Wheel, so i found you. Great work and knowledge, i stay some while and learn a bunch of Things about Wheels with your serious Reviews. Kudos and Salute a new Racer
Thanks for the review, I didn't even know this thing existed! I currently have a Playseat setup with DFGT wheel and pedal set because I love that wheel so much. I've driven the g25-g27 series and I hate the dead zone on the wheel and FFB feels elastic to me. I was gutted when I learned Logitech dropped compatibility for older wheels on PS4. Looks like it's time to switch camps. Thanks again!
@@simracingtonight i cant decide between g29 and t150 pro, please help me mate. i have hard ffb is not strong in t150 but is better feelwise but is not reliable...do help me please.
@Halpa halpa hii, i picked g29..tried t150 also..but g29 felt better..though i just use it on rfactor 2..is it me or does it becomes really difficult to feel good level of ffb on other sims after getting used to rfactor 2

T150 does seem like an upgraded F430 FFB (which Darin mentioned at the end, yay :) ), that was a brilliant entry wheel but only had the 270 degree rotation, which was one of the few downsides of it, along with the average pedals. However in my opinion the pedals are fine for a starter wheel, especially since the T150 is ecosystem compatible. I was happy with the F430 pedals, and while I did the brake mod on my T300 pedals, I wound up removing it for now, because I can't at the moment hard mount them, and the increased pressure requirement meant that my backstop could't hold the pedals still anymore :P (I'm also very used to the lower resistance pedal, so that I have zero issues with it while braking, and I actually dislike the g27 brake for being "too stiff", though that's just me not being used to them, since I only use them at a friends place)
Could you guys test adapters for G27 pedals and shifter with the T150? I guess many people would be interested to upgrade the G27 for this new wheel. Thinking again, could you leave the G27 wheel connected to the PC but unplug the power and try to use the pedal and shifter while using the T150/T300?
if i have enough cash to choose between the Thrustmaster T150 and the T300rs - which would you recommend . Can you make a comparison between this T150 and the T300rs
t300rs is better but to start off with, the t150 is a good start. You dont want to blow all your cash on a wheel and then realise you dont like sim racing that much.
all im thinking is, for 300ish you can outdo logitech. They really should have improved the ffb strength and feel with the g29, especially pricing it at 399 USD. That being said I have only used a G27 and TX
This has literally better wheel rim than the TX. Honestly I'M as an owner of TX wheel, thrustmaster should at least give a onr time use discount to TX owners on buying an add on wheel to at least compensate us on a cappy she'll rip and pedal that came with the wheel base.Dibt get me wrong I like my TX wheel base and my t3pa pro.Im not a TM hater just disappointed on their coming up limited edition TX wheel which gets the 28th wheel and t3pa pedal which roughly $100 more than what I paid... any how as always , awesome video their guys..
Even gear-driven wheels (like my dfgt) doesn't have much deadzone when it's new? But over time, I think the teeth get worn and the deadzone becomes real obvious.
This or G29 including shifter add ons & peddle set? I'm guessing for base unit itself T150 but if you want a shifter + clutch which would be best? The cheapest one? Or would you feel one is worth that bit extra to get over the other?
+XSpike The G29 costs 400$. This plus the T3PA PRO pedals should cost 350$, or if you want the cheaper T3PA pedals, 300$. The shifter changes things. The logitech shifter costs 60$ and the thrustmaster one 150$, but of course the TH8A is much better and can also change to sequential. So, 460$ vs 500$, or with the cheaper pedals, 450$. So, price wise they're very similar, depending on the shifter. On which one is better, looks like the t150 is a better wheel, no deadzone and better FFB in general.
well really its not my dream wheel but it sure is for the price. My real "dream" wheel is the T5005RS but its 600$ plus 300 more for a th8a shifter and rim. Jeez that's expensive!
I already have a TX for PC and Xbox one this seems like a good option for a cheaper secondary wheel for PS4 whenever GT7 comes out seeing as though I can use my TH8A and TP3A
Inside Sim Racing So, for a time I have not seen a single video ad on UA-cam. I have no idea why, but it happened after I installed adblock. Thing is, that was before I reset my entire hard drive, but my channel is still adblocked after that, even though I don't have a single piece of software which should block ads on my computer. But when I watched your channel for the first time, there was actually an video ad in the beginning. So I'm really confused.
is the T150 comparible to the G29? im looking for a good starter wheel, but the only thing is the thrustmaster does not come with 3 pedals like the G29, i have to buy them separately, i have broke it down like this: Thrustmaster T150 - $200 VG TH8A Add-On Gearbox Shifter - $150 T3PA 3-Pedal Wide Pedal Set Add-On - $100 All combined = $450 Logitech G29 - $400 Logitech G Driving Force Shifter - $60 Combined - $460 So REALLY what is the better choice!???
T150 without addons isnt as good but it is much more affordable, however a t150 with addons is on par with the g29. The thing that will make you go with the g29 is the metal rim and overall better appearance
I mean tbh its a great wheel and 2.7nm which is even more then the g29 which I didn't realize until not long ago lol wish this channel still did reviews lol
If you're considering purchasing this wheel in particular, I suggest paying another 70 to 80 and get the Logitech G29 or G290. I had one of these for about 6 months. Played Project Cars, Euro Truck Sim II, and F1 2016. After about 6 months, I turned my PC on one morning and all it would do is go through the calibration. Thrustmaster support is nonexistent for their products. No it sits in the corner of my room collecting dust, while waiting on a Logitech to show up.
I just got into iRacing two weeks ago. I'm using a 20+ year old Logitech Nascar 10" wheel. The T150 is on the way. Am I going to be shocked? Have to learn my steering/lines all over? Will the smoothness this (hopefully) wheel will afford me give me some quicker (.250) lap times?
logitech is gonna really have to drop there price on the g29 . Even this wheel smashes on that wheel for half the price damn thrustmaster isn't messing around👏. I'll pick one up if you release it for xbox one I'm sure they are,but sooner then later.
They are almost identical in terms of price and quality, the only things are that the t150 has more rotation and better ffb while the g29 has higher build quality and metal rims
I have this wheel, and a 17 years, half a million mile old driving licence for real cars. Here is my opinion: The wheel is good for what it costs. I can race with it. (i got mine half price but even at full price it's fine). The throttle/accelerator pedal is fine. The brake pedal, however, is garbage. It can be improved some with the rubber mod, but I still have no confidence on the brakes. For what this wheel costs, I can excuse the stock brake pedal, and I can understand them not wanting to fit load cells on toy grade stuff because warranty claims for stomped pedals. However, Thrustmaster should be ashamed of themselves for not fitting load cell to the T3PA "pro" when that pedal set costs as much as the whole T150 kit does.
is it normal that the T300rs has quite a lot of dead zone? I mean: when I'm driving in Spa towards Eau Rouge the road is very bumpy but the wheel doesn't shake until I turn it a little bit.
+elwulfo666 Which game and system? I have no deadzone with my T300, so it doesn't seem normal to me, but I've only used it on PC in Assetto Corsa and Spintires :)
This is my next wheel. I had the DFGT, but it sadly won't work on my PS3 and I played on that thing for hours on end. I guess I will have to sell it to upgrade to this bad boy for use of all my consoles. I haven't watched your videos in a while, what happened to Shaun?
The G's have a deadzone due to the dual motors. There has to be some slack or they would beat each other to death. I don't care for dual motor wheels because of this.
Was waiting for this, but bought a mint condition G27 for 180 euros. After seeing this review I must say that I'm glad I did. Maybe the force feedback is a little bit smoother in the T150, but the pedals, shifter, reliability and moddability of the G27 makes it a better choice IMO
+DeathPrestige How do you compare the 2 pedal set of the T150 to the G27 ones? The pedals are way better. Or the shifter that the T150 doesn't even have?
How do you lower the wheel weight and change the degree of rotation, and I am a little disappointed you didn't test the crew, because I just got it and it doesn't seem to work as well as that game, is it the same as drive club
Guys of Inside Sim Racing are you gonna try the T150 on PC with Assetto Corsa as well? I think it would be great to know your impressions about it, for me and I hope for other sim racing gamer. Thanks
May I ask... how long is the clamp of the T150 (and T300)? I have a rig made of PVC, but there is a PVC support 4 inches from the edge of the table's platform (where the wheel would be placed)
+Renard Endaya T300 is nicer, feels like better quality rubber. T150 is still passable, just uses entry level materials to not eat into T300 market share.
Hello, +InsideSimRacing. Would there be a chance to see how this wheel performs FFB wise against, for instance a G27? Recently I sold my G27 and I am looking to most likely purchase this wheel when it's finally out. Thank you.
Muhammed Muzammel They are very plastic and there’s only one spring for each pedal. The wheel itself is very loud, but FFB is decent. I use it from time to time. The reason my pedals broke was because I abused them. I used the wheel in drift tournaments in Assetto Corsa and it did pretty good. If you want this wheel, you should get T3PA / T3PA pro pedals with it
I got the T150 about 8 months back as a test unit.

So, price wise they're very similar, depending on the shifter. On which one is better, looks like the t150 is a better wheel, no deadzone and better FFB in general.
It would be great if you could try drifting with the T150 and see if it would centre itself as quickly (if at all) as T300 and T500
dream wheel right here
if you could use the t3pa pedals then it would be amazing
+Jorge Lempka thank you
well really its not my dream wheel but it sure is for the price. My real "dream" wheel is the T5005RS but its 600$ plus 300 more for a th8a shifter and rim. Jeez that's expensive!
Tandem Drifter yeah when I said dream wheel I meant like in that sub 200$ price range. The T500 is way better lol
+my name does not matter You probably found out yourself, but you can use them with this wheel, also a shifter (dont know which one)
Your wrong its a replacement of the t100 wheel and pedal set as that has become outdated i know this because i have both the t100 and t150
I already have a TX for PC and Xbox one this seems like a good option for a cheaper secondary wheel for PS4 whenever GT7 comes out seeing as though I can use my TH8A and TP3A
What... I watched an ad? But I haven't seen an ad on UA-cam in like one year even though I don't have Adblock or anything equivalent. I'm so confused.
+Vincent Pihlblad huh?
Inside Sim Racing So, for a time I have not seen a single video ad on UA-cam. I have no idea why, but it happened after I installed adblock. Thing is, that was before I reset my entire hard drive, but my channel is still adblocked after that, even though I don't have a single piece of software which should block ads on my computer. But when I watched your channel for the first time, there was actually an video ad in the beginning. So I'm really confused.
is the T150 comparible to the G29? im looking for a good starter wheel, but the only thing is the thrustmaster does not come with 3 pedals like the G29, i have to buy them separately, i have broke it down like this:
Thrustmaster T150 - $200
VG TH8A Add-On Gearbox Shifter - $150
T3PA 3-Pedal Wide Pedal Set Add-On - $100
All combined = $450
Logitech G29 - $400
Logitech G Driving Force Shifter - $60
Combined - $460
So REALLY what is the better choice!???
+Datsunmudder G29 with the shifter is 460$. It depends on which one is a better wheel.
T150 without addons isnt as good but it is much more affordable, however a t150 with addons is on par with the g29. The thing that will make you go with the g29 is the metal rim and overall better appearance
t150 has more rotation (900
g27
Datsunmudder Yes good question. This helped me buy a T150
Gregory Wallace lol mine t80 broke reported iT got a New ine soo and t150 pro is better the Logitech 29
Funky looking rig . . . that flexes a lot. -.-
those pedals look like they go to the thrustmaster t80 series
If you can't hardmount the peadals, then put some weights on the back of them.
For anyone watching this video wondering how it works on PC it works great
logitech is gonna really have to drop there price on the g29 . Even this wheel smashes on that wheel for half the price damn thrustmaster isn't messing around👏. I'll pick one up if you release it for xbox one I'm sure they are,but sooner then later.
Ricmotech sells adapter plate to hard mount
Can this be attached to the table
No, you should attach it to ground
How does the wheel compare to the new logitech? Would this with the upgraded pedals be a better set up than the logitech?
Seems okay, but not a fan of the clicky gear switches though.
Thats how its supposed to be.
thanks a lot guys. really great review
we need a cheap wheel like this for xbox one
***** exactly
+Rayan Syed all of them are to expensive, hell it couldn't cost more than $30 of material.
is it normal that the T300rs has quite a lot of dead zone? I mean: when I'm driving in Spa towards Eau Rouge the road is very bumpy but the wheel doesn't shake until I turn it a little bit.
+elwulfo666 Which game and system? I have no deadzone with my T300, so it doesn't seem normal to me, but I've only used it on PC in Assetto Corsa and Spintires :)
Project Cars on the PS4
+elwulfo666 Adjust you "deadzone removal range" up to 0,12 and it should get much better. Increase or decrease it to your liking.
This is my next wheel. I had the DFGT, but it sadly won't work on my PS3 and I played on that thing for hours on end. I guess I will have to sell it to upgrade to this bad boy for use of all my consoles. I haven't watched your videos in a while, what happened to Shaun?
wish there was just wheel and motor option. I want to upgrade my wheel but I already have those pedals.
I love war thunder
+EnricoZulu can u use the pedals on war thunder say like rudder pedals ?
The G's have a deadzone due to the dual motors. There has to be some slack or they would beat each other to death. I don't care for dual motor wheels because of this.
Was waiting for this, but bought a mint condition G27 for 180 euros. After seeing this review I must say that I'm glad I did. Maybe the force feedback is a little bit smoother in the T150, but the pedals, shifter, reliability and moddability of the G27 makes it a better choice IMO
The T150 is a lot better than the G27 and its cheaper.
+DeathPrestige How do you compare the 2 pedal set of the T150 to the G27 ones? The pedals are way better. Or the shifter that the T150 doesn't even have?
In terms of addons, if you equipped the t150 with the t3pa pedals and the th8a shifter, this thing is even better than the G29.
+DeathPrestige I agree. I would just have to spend 200 + 150 + 100 euros instead of 180. More than double the price.
+Ricardo Carvalho Well its just below the price of a g29. The g27 is dying anyway, the g29 will take its place
Awesome Review, What's is the Best wheel for PS4?
How do you lower the wheel weight and change the degree of rotation, and I am a little disappointed you didn't test the crew, because I just got it and it doesn't seem to work as well as that game, is it the same as drive club
Guys of Inside Sim Racing are you gonna try the T150 on PC with Assetto Corsa as well? I think it would be great to know your impressions about it, for me and I hope for other sim racing gamer.
Thanks
what are the difference between this and tmx? if they're essentially the same besides platforms, how come tmx only has 900 degree?
May I ask... how long is the clamp of the T150 (and T300)? I have a rig made of PVC, but there is a PVC support 4 inches from the edge of the table's platform (where the wheel would be placed)
I have seen some reviews that the t300rs are having issues not very durable, is this better in reliability ?
what do you think about it's grip quality compared to the T300RS?
+Renard Endaya T300 is nicer, feels like better quality rubber. T150 is still passable, just uses entry level materials to not eat into T300 market share.
t300rs vs t150 which one is better and why?
im mad u didnt show how u mounted or any connections how to get started
please compare this wheel and logitech G29..
Nice presentation, thanks
Mine is pro but when I turn it likes robot and turns automatically which is not cool any help?
Can only PS4 games be played with a PS5 connection?
Hello, +InsideSimRacing.
Would there be a chance to see how this wheel performs FFB wise against, for instance a G27? Recently I sold my G27 and I am looking to most likely purchase this wheel when it's finally out.
Thank you.
Have you bought it??
@@muhammedmuzammel7115 Yeah, I broke the pedals under a year.
@@MousemanLV sad to know are the pedals very light to break ??
Muhammed Muzammel They are very plastic and there’s only one spring for each pedal. The wheel itself is very loud, but FFB is decent. I use it from time to time. The reason my pedals broke was because I abused them. I used the wheel in drift tournaments in Assetto Corsa and it did pretty good. If you want this wheel, you should get T3PA / T3PA pro pedals with it
@@MousemanLV thanks for the suggestion man I was thinking about getting a t3pa pedal with it.
Can the gear shifters be remapped in order to replace gas and brake pedals?
darin whats the difference betwen this and the t300 base? the motor?
which wheel do u guys think is a better bang for your buck the g29 or the t150?
Forcefeedback does not work in f1 2015! What can i do with this?
Do you think Logitech will produce a similar product for the PS4 (other than the G29)? Something in the DFGT price range?
