Another enjoyable and final section to the Northumberland Coastal Path. Been through Berwick many times on the train home to Durham but never stopped there before so it will be a fitting ending of this great trail. Cheers Alan
Was having a think about Northumberland Coastal Path and watched your vids. Really enjoyed them .nice style and youve sold it to me. Have to put this path high on my to do list. Looks like perfect for summer. Dont know which direction Ill do it but probs north to south as Ive done Cleveland Way that direction too. Id look at carrying on to Tynemouth though. Played all the golf courses in the route before.

Great to see you enjoyed the walk videos.
The direction of travel for the walk is a personal one and there is no best way. If you head south in the summer you will be heading into the sun. But as you say you have already completed the Cleveland Way in that direction, so you can gauge what affect that had for you.
It's a great walk, I am sure you will enjoy it either way.

I hope druridge bay is protected from the fracking plans. Such a beautiful coastline. It should be protected.
You are spot on. The NE coast is something special.
As far as I know there are no plans, and the area is AONB status, so lets hope it stays that way.
