Very worth watching twice, so I did. I think I enjoyed it more the second time. I really like your clean style and sharp images.

So much to know and learn. I'm so thankful for videos like this that help me walk through the thought process regarding composition. I'm still at the early stages of my photography education and mostly focusing on capturing an image with the correct shutter speed, then DOF and have let the camera choose ISO. Thank you for your videos.

Tim a lot was a reminder as you said but importantly it was thought provoking, your recent videos are making me think I should consider circumstances before I just go and press the shutter. Really useful video - thank you.

Thanks, great info and will make me think things through a bit more before pushing the shutter.

Great video, Tim! I get that the goal is clean backgrounds but most of the time, shooting birds in their environment means the backgrounds are often messy and you need very expensive glass to blur out the mess which most of us don't have!

Let's see. You can shoot wide open f/4 to f/5.6, you can try to manage the background so there is more distance between the background and the bird you can use a tele-converter to get a more powerful telephoto and you can get down lower and shoot up at the sky all to get a softer cleaner background without spending money. Just a few ideas. Thanks for watching and commenting

Wow that's really weird. I never noticed it before. In between the legs there are some while belly feathers that are wet from the bird diving in to get the fish. It does look like a third leg, but I zoomed in 300% and saw it was feathers. Thanks for watching!
