This video was filmed on January 30, 2025.
The mischievous Kintaro had been teasing Gentaro many times since the morning.
Kintaro was being persistent, so Gentaro pushed him down and scolded him.
It is not clear whether Momotaro saw it or heard Kintaro's screm, but he was angry and chased Gentaro.
Momotaro usually gives up when Gentaro runs to higher ground, but sometimes, like this time, he will chase him even the ceiling.
But don't worry, Momotarou just persistently pursued Gentaro and didn't attack him any more.
It was funny to see Kintaro walk away with a look on his face as if he had successfully mediated the fight, even though he was the one who caused it.

⭐️Momotaro ♂(Born July 3, 2000)
Born in Ueno Zoo on July 3, 2000.
His father is Biju and his mother is Momoko.
His father died before he was born and he grew up never knowing his father.
He came to Kyoto City Zoo in 2010 and is now a father of two sons.
⭐️Genki ♀(Born June 24, 1986)
Born on June 24, 1986 at the Kyoto City Zoo.
Her father is Mack and her mother is Hiromi.
When she was 10 years old, she went to Ueno Zoo for breeding purposes.
But she had a bad relationship with another female gorilla, and she injured her fingers and toes with her self-mutilation and lost a lot of weight.
When she returned to her hometown of Kyoto City Zoo, she was fine, and she lived with various male gorillas.
Then she met Momotaro and she gave birth to two lovely sons whom she lovingly raised.
Genki has a cute face with shining eyes.
⭐️Gentaro ♂(Born December 21, 2011)
Gentaro was born at the Kyoto City zoo on Dec.21,2011,as Momotaro and Genki's first son.
Unfortunately Genki didn't have enough milk,so he was nursed by keepers for his first 10.5 months.
Now he loves his mom,and his face really looks like her.
He also loves people .
He is very close with his younger brother Kintaro and they play together almost every day.
⭐️Kintaro ♂(Born December 19, 2018)
Kintaro was born at Kyoto City Zoo on Dec.19,2018.
He has big bright eyes and long eyebrows.
He is growing fine ,being loved by his parents and brother.

It's a pity these big beautiful gorillas have only a very small space to run in with no access to the outdoors. And someone said that Gentaro is a bully and must be dealt with... I wish that person and others would take a closer examination of the situation.. Maybe then you'd see what I'm seeing, which is like watching a train wreck getting ready to happen. Gentaro is a full-blown Silverback, and in the wild, he would have been long gone from his troop. Momotaro is obligated to fight off any perceived threat to his troop or to his person. These big male gorillas are stuffed into a much too small enclosure, with TWO of them being silverbacks. This isn't going to end well, and it will be the fault of the Kyoto Zoo because they do nothing to stop what's inevitable. Genki already had to see her mother Hiromi murdered by the gorilla, Gon, after he was brought there to fill the void left by the death of Genki's father, Makk. Gon attacked Hiromi, and she died from her injuries. How does the zoo think Genki will react to a fight to the death between her oldest son and her mate? The gorillas are all behaving exactly how they should be according to their protocol. There is room for only ONE Silverback in a troop, and in this particular zoo enclosure, there isn't even enough space for him. I pray the Zoo's owners will see the writing on the wall before its too late, and one of them gets seriously injured or worse. 😢

True, but personalities have a lot to do with their actions too. Every person and gorilla has a different personality.
In the Shabani Troop Kyamosa is same age as Gentaro.
Momotaro gives mercy and grace to Gentaro.
Shabani does not do that. He discipline Kyamosa constantly.
The moral of the story is that Gentaro pushes his luck and will be dealt with accordingly.
It is the Zoo's responsibility to keep all of the animals safe.
They're not keeping up there part. They are not worried because gorilla's cannot Sue them.
Shouldn't Gentaro be relocated to another zoo? Or is that even more dangerous?
Yeah it’s crazy how they are keeping two huge silverbacks in one small enclosure. Just a disaster waiting to happen.

It’s a shame they haven’t got a proper outdoors area to go to, with grass, their enclosure is much too small, look at the Shabani group and Dejecko and Haoko groups, they have a proper outdoor area to go too, it’s not fair for the Momotaro group to live like this, things need to change!

@@stephanieevans8405 yes, they need better enclosures, all of them, but there's a funding issue. It can cost millions to build new enclosures for animals and especially gorillas. If everyone could donate to a crowd funding, we could possibly at least add on to their current enclosure or build a new one.
@chelseasavage3579 I'm afraid the zoo is going to continue to leave Momo and Gentaro in that small jail for Gorillas until something awful happens. They don't seem to want to do anything about it. That's incredibly irresponsible, and if real harm or even death comes to either Momo or Gentaro, it would be too sad to think of. They're gambling and risking the gorillas' lives by their negligence in ignoring the urgency of the situation.
@@Looneygotbanned63 I agree 100%. this is negligence at this point. Gentaro already has a big scar in his forehead from Momo's last big attack. The animals are not to blame. Gentaro needs to move out, he's a silverback ffs. And the space they got it's so tiny. Momo should also get another female partner but with that tiny space it is impossible.

He can't just run around hurting other members of the group and doing nothing but causing trouble 24,7. Without some consequences. It's ridiculous that this zoo continues to leave him here.
@bigboytoyz541 Then you must have seen the same thing I did. Kintaro is always running after his brother and as he ran past he pulled his arm. It was nothing serious, Kinny just wants to play. I can understand him well. But I can also understand Gen, who is annoyed and can't get out of the way. He is doing exactly what a gorilla his age naturally does. And it's not his fault that the zoo won't let him go. So why do you have to scold him?
@birgitdeppe6742 it's not about scolding him. It's about him challenging his father 24,7 and not expecting anything to happen. Momo is still the boss and isn't going to continue to put up with it, and he shouldn't. But you are right, it's not his fault that he is still stuck here when he should have been separated long ago.

I disagree, I don’t believe that the one that’s being ran down on and ruffed up by someone who is 3 times their size is hardly the blame And Momotaro should have handled that situation even more than he did Go Momotaro. Show Gentaro who is really the boss.
Kintaro took big brothers tackle like a champ but Momo didn't like it and it was on...an "over the river and through the woods" type chase. Afterwards Momo and Gentaro were exhausted. Gentaro was like "Man just go on and do what you gonna do. I ain't got nothing left" Momo just turns and walks away. Peaceful ending to a very eventful day.

Kintaro was taken down by Gentaro in a bear hug hold. They were both laughing too... having fun. Gentaro is almost three times the size of Kintaro who is tiny next to his big brother. I hope Kintaro's legs grow. He's so short.
They are working it out pretty well. If people are so concerned about how they work it out, maybe move Genki in with Rona and leave this as a bachelor troop. They all behave this way. Every one of them.

Gentaro and Kintaro remind me of my two oldest nephews “play fighting” in the living room when they were both in their teens and a combined weight of well over 200 pounds; they’d make the whole house shake like there was an earthquake, you’d hear terrifying thumps and crashes, and you’d jump up convinced one of them had broken the other one’s neck.
It’s at these times parents probably wish they’d had girls instead.😂

I'm sorry but there costs/skin look so bad, so raggedy looking compared to other zoo's gorillas. Something is missing in their diet. Idk what, but it needs to be figured out. KINTARO and Genki especially. 🙏🏾
Genki is up in age and has had difficulties with her health and teeth from before this zoo. and kintaro only looks like that because of his age. they change as they get older and the fur changes. Genatro used to have missing fur at that age
Now I see why Gent refuses to play with Kintaro.
