According to you guys I should be either a lawyer or politician... guys, I hate people, but I don't steal money and I'm not a very good liar! A food critic, on the other hand... THAT I could do.
Or get paid and find it shameful or too silly to want others to know about it. That does not count for criminals, they like people knowing what they do.
I don't understand why people think that youtubers shouldn't get paid. We pay stand up comedians, singers, dancers, and food, music, and fashion critics; most youtubers could basically be summed up into one or more of those classifications. Why should those entertainers and critics get paid but their online versions not?
I think you would be a good guidance counselor (or something like that) at a school or something. I feel like you could give good advice because you've been through some tough times yourself.
Dick's Last Resort Dick's Last Resort is a small bar and restaurant chain in the United States, known for its intentional employment of an obnoxious staff. I really don't want to sound like one of those terrible people you mentioned at the beginning of the video but I just. This whole thing is a perfect example of what's wrong with our generation... I mean really, think about it. You don't want to be a doctor because you're not compassionate enough. You don't want to be a therapist because you don't like listening to other people. You don't want to be a fitness instructor because it requires hard work. We're slowly entering this stereotypical hole where it's cool to not care about anyone but ourselves. It's driving me insane. I know that you're probably some great person in real life because you shaved your head for good causes. This video just reminded me of things that drive me crazy.
I think the song she made proves she cares a lot. I think it's a lack of understanding on your part not to know what it's like to not like being around lots of people.. You are right in your melodramatic sentiment about society though. With the Bad there's always the Good people that make things worth while
We have people compassionate enough to be doctors, caring enough to be therapists and persistant enough to be trainers, then we have her to entertain us. Theres a place for everyone
Sam Cerulean I HATE being around people and I HATE parties. I'm still studying to become a neurologist. Because I like the mental stimulation and I like the work. Secret shopper. basically you go places and be the most annoying customer you can be to judge how the service handles people. Sure its not a well paying or daily job, but it's perfect for someone like Emma.
ah yes because with the non stop small talk that hairdressers blab on about emma would be perfect and not reply with sarcastic remarks every 10 seconds lol
a UA-camr because it is a real job! many people don't have to worry about criticism and you are doing what you love so screw them! your my favorite UA-camr so embrace it
I doubt you're still reading these comments but if by chance your eyes pass over this one.. Well done Emma Blackery! You obviously have worked your ass off to get to where you are today - I hope most people appreciate the effort you put into your content. Jobs you would be good at? Well for one, entrepreneur - you're obviously very good at making something out of nothing. My second thought would be stand-up (sarcastic/sadistic) or maybe even a radio presenter? It frustrates me that people think that UA-cam is an 'easy' job. Your work load would be comparable to any news/media presenter and they have the support of staff. You do EVERYTHING yourself; mixing, filming, presenting, marketing, researching.. etc, etc. So well done Emma Blackery, I do believe you have very employable skills - even if you haven't realized it.
people are idiots for thinking something you think is fun (youtube) isnt a job it's just a "hobby" if it makes you happy, then stay with it and be happy, Emma
"Entertainer" is a real job. Also, just a side note for everyone, if you hate what you do for a job, don't take it out on other people. Get yourself out of there and get a new job. You don't have to hate your job.
If we're talking about "real jobs", then I don't see why you couldn't be a spokesperson for Google. I mean, you have such a high opinion of Google Plus.
That's the same with my English teacher! He doesn't like any of us, but he chooses one person at the beginning of the year to pick on and makes fun of them all year... I'm glad he didn't pick me... 😂
I just think you're so amazing at this, I honestly can't picture you as something else. Btw Emma you look absolutely stunning, and you see so happy rn, I'm glad you're ignoring the haters x
I was thinking Food Critic before I scrolled down I swear! :D I nailed that one! Although, I wasn't sure If you were a picky eater or not so I was going to go with "Singing Competition Judge" Like Paula Abdul .....
you should be a night guard at a museum! sleep all day, go to work where no one else will be working, talk all you want and shout at anyone who tries to come inside the museum.
Emma Blackery I'd go for being a judge, lawyers do need to kiss ass to judges and public.. whilst a judge.. well, is a bit like a dictator in that room :D. And you get to say all this cool shit and then smash the hammer ! :)
I personally believe being a UA-camr is a proper job...what is a 'proper job' nowadays anyway? The people commenting this are people, that have been led to think that in some way or another, that having a proper job is a job that society understands and sees as acceptable. I think the idea of a 'UA-camr' is actually starting to change that idea. You can probably( along with others) reach out and influence so many more young people as well as old, than any lawyer or politician. Of course if you do want a career in jobs such as these go for it and try your best but it irritates me that society seems to shun careers that are in anyway new or different. Anybody that thinks UA-cam is not a proper job clearly has no understanding of what it can achieve and lead onto: Music careers, success in radio and TV, books, films, ambassadors of charities and projects etc... Just to name a few, I don't know that's my opinion anyway...you may think different :D.
Also sorry for the use of the word proper instead of real... Believe me, the way someone can change someone's life or make it just that bit more bearable through having this job, is definitely REAL. :p
JellybeanJ! I don't think it is a 'job', it's certainly not 'work' . It generates income, but it really is not a 'job'. Yes! Jobs can be gotten from youtube, but that doesn't make youtube a 'job' - it makes it a platform. People shun this 'career' because they make a relatively large amount from 6 hours work, and often don't even need to get out of their chair. Or do it every day for that amount of money. It's probably really hurting the economy in the way CEO's do every little for a lot, and then horde (obviously not on that scale, but it adds up). The people who actually 'work' 20-30-40-50 hours a week get a smaller and smaller slice for what they do when people doing less and less get more. I think it becomes a 'job' when the youtuber has a strict schedule and they contribute. Vloggers (particularly ones like Emma) aren't 'making' anything, just...speaking. Vlog brothers Educate, and have other channels for Education started from their youtube channel, as well as their own charities and employees. Some of their Crashcourse videos are shown in schools, that's their goal. THAT'S work. Heck, people like Nerdcubed? You want a sneak spoiler-free peak at a game you might want to buy but aren't sure? That's contributing to an industry, and you can see the figures for it! The YOGSCAST are capitalizing on it by now getting a share of a new game's profit in the time after they put a video out playing it. They have employee's, are a register company, and they all put out 1-2-3 videos a day. THAT'S WORK. They put out 2-3 videos a day and actually contribute? It's work. One every 3-4-5 days like Emma? Not even close. A person talking to a camera is entertainment, but when you compare it to the high-budget, long hours, tire-some, longer products on a T.V...it's falls short. I think it's totally valid to make an income off of...but to call it 'work' is a bit much for a lot of youtubers.
College teacher. No one gives a shit if you swear, everyone's adults. And you don't have to keep your mouth shut. Plus if you study philosophy you can be bluntly honest about your view of the world. Plus if you tell your students "I don't give a shit if you do your homework or not." Hey it's college, that's the attitude you're suppost to have.
Client: "Oh hello I need some help on-" Emma: "Oh no no no let me put you on hold for a minute" *sits there for over 15 minutes eating while the person is on hold* c:
You have to be charismatic to be a hairdresser, at least in Australia, you have to keep the customer entertained by talking to them, listening to them, etc. So no, hairdresser is kinda out of the question.
She wouldn't because it involves being bossed around when training what would annoy Emma seeing she can't stand people clients start conversations you stand all day have to be there at 8 and the fact hairdressers gossip and are incredibly self centred and egotistic would most likely piss Emma off that's just my opinion tho
whoisthisguy128 As a quiet guy, there's nothing I hate more than engaging in small talk with my hairdresser. I literally drive 20 minutes to a hair dresser I like, and I like her because 1: She's used to me, and doesn't have to ask stupid questions, 2: she doesn't ask stupid questions and 3: Her hands are warm. I haven't said more than a dozen words to her in my life, and I wouldn't mind keeping it that way lol. Hair dressers just need to know 3 things to keep me happy. 1: My hair is long and messy now. 2: I'd like to walk out of here with short and neat hair. 3: I don't want to talk till you're done making it short and neat.
I think she would make an awesome hair stylist. I go to cosmetology school, and they say that the client should be doing 80% of the talking. And if you don't like someone you can tell them to get out of your chair and leave. A lot of the time they talk when I blow dry and I can't hear a damn word they say so I just say "mhm, oh yeah? yep mhm".
My parents keep telling me I need to get a part-time job, but I'm just not ready. I am indeed sarcastic, but I have social anxiety - they don't seem to realise how terrifying it would be for me :o I honestly think you should just be a radio presenter, or a presenter of some form. Therefore you get to complain to a wide audience, best job ever XD
"Hello, this is the IT dept, thank you for holding for 3 1/2 hours. Now you said the laptop was overheating eh?....Hummm, well did you try shoving it up your ass and leaving me alone? No? well go try that and if that doesn't work, find the nearest 12g shot gun and pump the damned thing full of led. I hear led can help with heat problems. Your welcome have a nice day."
***** Making Videos is a Job? Its not. Most people get their Videos cut by the Network, and Most popular UA-camrs make shit Content. People like PewdiePie, or many UA-camrs from Germany. They already get our Money for just making some 10 Minute Videos the week, and its cheek to call that Working.
Lord Monokelhans 1. Felix works INSANELY hard (uploading daily with high quality video editing is tough!) and it's not *your* money at ALL. How have you given a UA-cam any of your own money?
Emma Blackery Who the hell is Felix? Well i am used to german UA-camrs. The popular german UA-camrs often just Appear in the Videos and act and say the things they get from their Network. Basicly, in Germany many UA-camrs are just the Face, and the Network does ALL. Thats not working, and when these people get payed for that shit because thousands of kids watch them i have a real reason to use Adblock/NoScript. For some UA-camrs i deactivate it, because the Content is real good. RocketBeansTV for Example, or your channel ( i know, i sound like an arse licker when i say that but its just like it is). Ever worked on a building lot? Thats a back breaking work, and when you see some little Boys earning money for NOTHING, you get somehow upset because that is NOT working.
Emma I think the perfect job for you would be a reality TV host, like Jeremy Kyle, it would be fucking brilliant. but unlike Jeremy Kyle you can punch people. Also UA-cam is a fucking real job, your earning money from it perfectly legally and you're not hurting anyone by doing so, anyone who thinks that UA-cam isn't a real job can fuck off back to their hole!
Exactly, this is just as much of a real job as a comedian or actor. Also she gets money for the songs she puts on itunes so she is a singer, and a much better one than half of the "professional" ones.
simon cowell isn't a job, he is a person. but he is a business man and no offense to Emma but I don't think business is her thing although being truthful & harsh is. XD
My whole life people tell me that I can't turn my hobby and passion into a career and it really bothers me that people waste their time trying to inflict such negativity on other people. I think you're amazing, you're wonderously clever and witty, and I love watching your videos. You're a brilliant person.
101qwertyqwertyful "Real comedians." As if what she does isn't actual comedy. It's pseudo-comedy, you see. The kind of comedy we peasants use, for we are incapable of the "real comedy" of legend, which is only able of being crafted by the awesome minds of the mighty Great Jovial Ones. There is, of course, a rigorous screening process to becoming one of these mythical, glorious "real comedians." I hear Gabriel Iglesias had to out-joke five hundred other candidates in a riff-off to the death which lasted over seventy-six hours. And that was only the first test out of a thousand he had to do before he could stand on the holy ground we call the "professional comedy stage." Stand-up comedy, man. I could never do it. I'm going for a much safer, easier career as a bomb defuser.
hoshikou There are these people called Go-Go Dancers who are basically like strippers, what with the sexy dancing and such, but keep their clothes on. Granted they wear very skimpy clothing, but they aren't getting naked is the point.
RoxasCanFly well they arnt really strippers as strippers take their clothes off and Go-Go Dancers dance. but either way if she wants to stay fully clothed defeats the purpose of being either
To b honest... I 'would of' when she had hair... I 'would' now she don't..... And to b completely honest I 'would definatly' with a clown costume on... Prob just me though... Meh
According to you guys I should be either a lawyer or politician... guys, I hate people, but I don't steal money and I'm not a very good liar! A food critic, on the other hand... THAT I could do.
Comedian
I think you would be good at stand-up.
That's a very good idea..
A comedian!
Comedian!!!!
A comedian
Every job is a real job. People only say that because they resent that others have found a way to work less hard or actually enjoy what they do.
*drops mic*
Emma Blackery How many swags do you have?
Whips Unlimited swag and no fucks. ;)
Or get paid and find it shameful or too silly to want others to know about it. That does not count for criminals, they like people knowing what they do.

You are paid to be rude to the people, it is your job.
That is enough for me to move to the US
I think that's the place I was talking about in my comment. I didn't know it was a chain though. I've only ever heard about it in Las Vegas. lol

DeadpoolX9 >studying to be a neurologist
>like the mental stimulation
I see what you did there.
You have a real job. Just because you like what you do, doesn't mean it isn't real. People are jealous.
That said, you could definitely run a club or a bar. I think it really takes a presence like the one you have. Whatever it is, I think you'd have to own the company. You'd care about YOUR company, and therefor you'd do your best at whatever it is, not take any shit, and only hire great people.
Adventures In Stacyland well, in a perfect world, this would be the case..
emma blackjerry you make me chuckle and for that I am grateful you don't have a boring old job where your comedic value is wasted!
p.s. i dont think people appreciate the amount of effort you go to to make these videos and the amount of pressure you have on your shoulders to entertain people- that takes a certain type of personality and I for sure couldn't do it!
Secret shopper. basically you go places and be the most annoying customer you can be to judge how the service handles people. Sure its not a well paying or daily job, but it's perfect for someone like Emma.

Stay positive Emma!!
Radio Presenter. You should replace the Dan and Phil show on Radio 1
I think this UA-cam thing suits you perfectly. You look happy doing it and that's pretty much all that matters.

Dr. Cox
You would be a great Dr. Cox

To be fair, though, the main function of Dr. Cox as a character is to point how that JD has one redeeming factor that Dr. Cox lacks: bedside manner.
SMFortissimo But you've got to admit, his humor is quite a big part of the show, and Emma has his humor
ThatPearsonDan Without a doubt!

I know right
You're so beautiful with this hair!!!
What criteria is required to be filled in order for something to be classified as a "real job"?
How are you? I don't know why, I just feel as though more UA-camrs deserve to be asked that from time to time, at the very least.
I'm doing okay... thank you :)

Hey Emma, im dying. My armpit hair tonight.
How about work at a call center?
Client: "Oh hello I need some help on-"
Emma: "Oh no no no let me put you on hold for a minute"
*sits there for over 15 minutes eating while the person is on hold*
c:
you look so beautiful with this hairstyle!! Seriously brings out your eyes, must have taken so much courage :)
A comedian?
A hair dresser. You used to dye your hair alot when it was long and I just think it'd suite you.
Never been to my hairdresser
I think she would make an awesome hair stylist. I go to cosmetology school, and they say that the client should be doing 80% of the talking. And if you don't like someone you can tell them to get out of your chair and leave. A lot of the time they talk when I blow dry and I can't hear a damn word they say so I just say "mhm, oh yeah? yep mhm".
Doctor: Okay what seems to be the problem.
Patient: My nose keeps itching and it wont stop.
Doctor: Youre dying!
Thanks for that. That will help all the deaf people that watch UA-cam videos
Your welcome? Lol
Great video! Love the way your makeup makes your eyes pop by the way! :)
My parents keep telling me I need to get a part-time job, but I'm just not ready. I am indeed sarcastic, but I have social anxiety - they don't seem to realise how terrifying it would be for me :o I honestly think you should just be a radio presenter, or a presenter of some form. Therefore you get to complain to a wide audience, best job ever XD
the person who dresses dead people in formal clothes before the funeral

Just take the battery out and put it back again....
"Hello this is tech support will you just fucking reboot it already?"
Hello this is the IT department.
Have you tried
turning it off and on again
"Hello, this is the IT dept, thank you for holding for 3 1/2 hours. Now you said the laptop was overheating eh?....Hummm, well did you try shoving it up your ass and leaving me alone? No? well go try that and if that doesn't work, find the nearest 12g shot gun and pump the damned thing full of led. I hear led can help with heat problems. Your welcome have a nice day."
isaac ainley hahaha!
Doesn't youtube pay you?

Making Videos is a Job?
Lord Monokelhans Felix is pewdiepie you dipshit
You tell them Emma! :')
Recently I started making videos like these, and would appreciate any new subscribers massively!
Thanks all :) x
chaaaaalieeeee ily and ur vids :D
I love your dress!
You should totally become a bed tester in a bed shop or something. You get to sleep all day?!
If that's a real job... I'm ditching architecture XD
Ew no. Have you actually lied in one position on a bed all day before? Before the day is out, she'd be covered in bedsores.
^ i've had duvet days before, not really been a problem for me...
I totally agree
Exactly, this is just as much of a real job as a comedian or actor. Also she gets money for the songs she puts on itunes so she is a singer, and a much better one than half of the "professional" ones.
THAT SHIRT WAS NOT LIME GREEN
i filmed and then realised i didn't own anything lime green oh
Well your legging at the therapist part were green :3
People always have to say something, so you might as well just do what you love!
a stand-up comidian
im sorry i really can't spell
an entertainer...
You could be simon cowell because you like music and you speak the truth
simon cowell isn't a job, he is a person. but he is a business man and no offense to Emma but I don't think business is her thing although being truthful & harsh is. XD
"When I grow I want to be a Simon Cowell!"
Simming Polaris Lol
I love your hair! You are a beautiful girl!
Marajuana sales person
***** no, that would look bad in your cv.
***** Err, the more client friendly name is "Marajauna Sales Person"... Now doesn't that sound better?
thank you john and Louis
You should be a Netflix tester- just sit all day watching Netflix and raining program's and Netflix overall 😂👍
prison guard at night.
first thing i thought of , don't ask me why
My whole life people tell me that I can't turn my hobby and passion into a career and it really bothers me that people waste their time trying to inflict such negativity on other people. I think you're amazing, you're wonderously clever and witty, and I love watching your videos. You're a brilliant person.
YOU WOULD BE AN AMAZING COMEDIAN!!! :D
Ah son people vastly underestimate how much work real comedians have to do. And sadly, as a woman, she'd get stomped.
101qwertyqwertyful "Real comedians."
As if what she does isn't actual comedy.
And that was only the first test out of a thousand he had to do before he could stand on the holy ground we call the "professional comedy stage."
Stand-up comedy, man. I could never do it. I'm going for a much safer, easier career as a bomb defuser.
A stripper, bc you can talk a lot, you don't have to get up early and you earn loads off of it
but what if she wants to keep her clothes on?
A stripper with a body suit on? maybe?
hoshikou There are these people called Go-Go Dancers who are basically like strippers, what with the sexy dancing and such, but keep their clothes on. Granted they wear very skimpy clothing, but they aren't getting naked is the point.
RoxasCanFly
well they arnt really strippers as strippers take their clothes off and Go-Go Dancers dance. but either way if she wants to stay fully clothed defeats the purpose of being either
radio hoast
you be a queen. litterally
To b honest...
I 'would of' when she had hair...
I 'would' now she don't.....
And to b completely honest I 'would definatly' with a clown costume on...
Prob just me though... Meh
i thought this was gonna be mean at first hah
Emma Blackery It was a bit gross though :P
Emma Blackery You did kinda rock that clown costume. Glad I'm not the only one who had their interests more than a little piqued.
I don't think Emma is fit for a "real job", we should just keep her.
SHE PART OF ILLUMNATI
LOOK AT HER WRIST
