@Jason Brown great vid, but was wondering how EXACTLY do you verify your identity on IBR? do you just put in your drivers licence number and name and address etc... or you do you have to send them a copy of your licence? how do you do that? thanks
so i dont have to technically send them my ID via email? the best option is to just verify my identity by BANK ACCOUNT, im in australia by the way, they should have the same option right?

Hey Kalvin, so with the tiered plan, if I was to buy 300 shares of Ford at $14 ($4200 total) it would be 300x0.0035= $1.05 in commission? Also if I was to sell it at $15 ($300 profit $4500 total) would I have to pay the commission again at $1.05? Mainly trying to figure out what my takeaway would be $2497.90?

Hi Kelvin, How about those with very old IBKR acct (at that time is DBS to IBKR Citi Bank), how can we re-link up with IBKR DBS acct.
I tried to withdraw small amount to try out their system, they will interrogate you when you try to cash out! Just like questioning you as you are in Police station. They said it’s for security, but it’s way too much information they get from you. They even ask you how much cash and standing in IBKR. I think it’s don’t make sense, as if they discourage from ever get your money out.

I noticed very bad rate of currency. Like on trading view I see 1.05755 eurusd, but when converting in interactive brokers, I see 1.0503 . Which is difference about 20 eur if I convert 3000 eur. How can I fix this?

But Wise charges quite a lot of fee. Looks like it's cheaper if I transfer SGD to IBKR and use IBKR to convert to USD. What do you say?
Yup its cheapest to fund sgd then convert in ibkr
ibkr offering 2.23% interest rate on idling SGD in your account.

ibkr is delayed prices unless you buy their live prices subscription

I think data is only delayed if you are on a demo account but should be live if you are trading on real account.

Because of how the platform works, the currency exchange rate will never be the most optimal. Is it wiser to deposit cash in USD say like Youtrip/Wise? and possible to withdraw it in USD and convert to SGD from there?
Ibkr rate is the nearest to market rate versus wise. It’s always best to transfer sgd into ibkr then convert in ibkr

Hi, why do you say that "if you are trading 10 or 50 shares, .0035"?, it sounded like if i trade 100,000 shares i will get charged more. so the fixed option is better. another example: isn't it trading less than 300,000 shares meaning if i trade 50,000 shares , my fee will be .0035 still? and the bigger share i trade in a month the smaller the fee?
