😂 Bahut acchi kitaab hai. Main roz ke do sawaal leti hoon aur class ke wakt jab bore ho to inhe solve karne ki koshish karti hoon. 2,3 din baad ans aa hi jaata hai😂

    (x+y)(x-y) = 31
    So either:
    1) x+y = 31 and x-y = 1 which imply 2y = 30 (y=15) and x = 16
    2) x+y = 1 and x-y = 31 which imply -2y = 30 (y=-15) and x = 16
I thought there might be more but, if both x and y are integers, then x+y and x-y must also be integers. As you say, they are therefore equal to 1 and 31. Or are they?? Why should they not equal -1 and -31 instead?
    3) x+y = -31 and x-y = -1 which imply 2y = -30 (y=-15) and x = -16
    4) x+y = -1 and x-y = -31 which imply -2y = -30 (y=15) and x = -16
    Success?
