Between 1998 and 2014 I must have seen her almost 10 times... the last concert i've seen must have been 2014 in Berlin.. even since i did not manage to go to Bruxelles or Liège anymore... in 2014 she was still breathtakingly good. It was a very reduced intimate concert. very touching.
@@dreasbn I'm envious of all of your experiences being part of her audience so many times! I feel like I've lived decades in absolute ignorance here in the USA in regards to Lara Fabian! How she was basically overlooked here boggles my mind( though I have an unsubstantiated idea as to why)! Thankfully at least, Lara is having a resurgence today thanks to UA-cam and certain other singers that have brought her to light because they idolize her as a talent to emulate!
@@mjcole12 one reason is that European radio, at least continental European radio, is generally more open for foreign language music. In Germany we had so many big french, spanish and italian language hits of the last 60 years... some of them were even the biggest sellers of the year. For instance "Voyage Voyage" by Desireless in 1987... We are used to hear foreign language music, English is for us a foreign language too... Lara tried to break the english market in 1999 with a very good album that was widely ignored in the US and the UK. I Will Love Again was a moderate hit, but that was that. All the other English language albums of hers are of mediocre quality and way behind her french output. I heard her first when participating in the Eurovision 1988, representing Luxemburg (the year Celine Dion won for Switzerland) and only years later during a day trip to Belgium in 1997 I saw her new album "Pure" advertised all over and bought it without having heard one single song. It blew me away and I managed to get tickets for her 1998 concert in Bruxelles. I am lucky to have grown up in Bonn, just a one hour ride by car from the belgian border and two hours from Bruxelles. Eventually I've always seen her in Liège or Bruxelles over the years and only once in Berlin... easy again, since i moved to Berlin in 2010.. But at least you can catch up with a lot of splendid DVD material. Only this concert tour of 1998 is missing, no commercial release...

I actually like her English speaking albums as well as her non English albums. Lately I've been listening to her Mademoiselle Zhivago album on shuffle in my car every day to and from work. Thanks for your replies. It's good to talk to another Lara Fabian fan!

If only we could have cleared the hall of those ignorant loudmouths that did their best to disrupt and destroy Lara's performances, this would have been enjoyable.
Wish she had held that final note a bit longer; we know she had the capacity to do so during this era ..but she could be forgiven for not ''going for it'' since the imbeciles in the crowd would have drowned, her out anyway with all of their mindless yelling, screaming, hand slapping and outrageously rude, disrespectful behavior. We see how much you do understand about music Mariana Stancescu.. First of all let me tell you that her italian is pretty good, ( I'm italian and maybe I can tell it much more than you) second even Massimo Ranieri liked her cover a lot and did compliment Lara.. And she doesn't sing in falsetto.. It's mix voice still even if it's in M2 register (if you know what I'm talking about.. I got my doubts) .. And then again.. This video and sound is such bad quality to judge..that's her music, passion, interpretation, technique.. A full complete artist
