Congrats on 1K. All the thumbnails - that’s a labour of love right there. 💙 your husband. I somehow missed the call out for questions, but enjoyed your answers. Loved all of the different hobbies you have. 💙 the knit shirt. 😊
Your husband's gift made my heart melt into a big old puddle. Very thoughtful! I had a list of questions but completely forgot and am now too late. Will save them for 2,000. 😊 Your shirt! Wow! Looks amazing. You play the piano, too! I bake about 4 days a week, even when hot out as it is now. And embroidery is another passion of mine. Budapest is next on our list, hopefully in October. We haven't been to Barcelona yet. But we love Croatia so much it's hard to leave even for just a few days. 😅 Congratulations on your wonderful accomplishment! It's a big deal. You're one of my very favourite boktubers, just stellar. Your personality shines and your book reviews are so helpful and fascinating.
As a crafter and reader, I would truly enjoy a few videos on your knitting and embroidery. Always love your book review videos of course. Thanks for letting us get to know you a bit more.
Thank you for watching! I will have to do some more updates with knitting and embroidery. I am still in the design/planning stage for my embroidery project but I will be sure to share some of the progress 😊
Thanks! I have lived in Spain for 6 years now. It started out with my husband getting his masters degree but within a few months I knew I wanted to stay forever. We looked for jobs that would keep us here and managed to make it work! We lived in Barcelona for the first 5 years and then bought a house between Barcelona and Girona last year. It is a beautiful place with an incredible language, history, people, and culture 😊 My two daughters also love it and speak 3 languages (much better than I can 😅)
Spotted my question in the description, thanks! That video your husband made is just incredible, and I also appreciate that he and you wanted to keep it personal and not 'commercial'.
So sorry I forgot to answer! I somehow missed it while I was filming 😅 I agree. My husband is just so thoughtful 🥰 I left to the US for 10 days while he watched the girls and he spent that time working on it!
Great video! I’m so excited to see your channel grow. Barcelona is a pretty fantastic city. I really enjoyed Tossa De Mar and Bilbao as well in Spain. In terms of Europe, Barcelona is certainly one of my top cities...but I like some South and Central American cities best of all.
I have never been anywhere in Central or South America! I really want to go. I love Tossa De Mar! I live really close by. Costa Brava has some of the most beautiful towns and beaches 🤩
Congratulations on the 1000 subscribers. Best wishes going forward. The only problem with watching other book tubers is that it only increase the tbr. So many books and so little time. Happy reading to you.
Great answers! I never read Bernadette, though it was on my list for a while, being a PNW book and all, but... if it's anything like the anxiety produced in Magda Szabo's The Door, then it's a NO for me! lol
Your husband making a video for you is such a lovely idea! I like to imagine lord of the rings influenced you to design everything in hobbit hole style. Fair enough, Barcelona is amazing, I've never been to Budapest. I've not had calcots, they look like leeks.
mostly LOTR kept me sane as I tried to memorize all the types and styles of furniture 😅 a calçot is really similar to a leek! They have a more mild flavor and are thinner. Do you have a favorite European city?
@@savagereads I really loved Heidelberg, but I went last year so that might be recency bias. I also loved Barcelona, Rome, Ljubljana, Tallinn. Anything old.
Congrats on 1k!!
Thank you!
Super cute gift 🎁 😍 💕 congrats! You're adorable! ❤
Thank you so much! My husband is the best person that I know. He was so thoughtful 😊

Congrats! What a thoughtful idea. How long have you lived in Spain and what made you choose it?
I am also curious!

I know how that goes! My TBR has exploded lately 😅 Thanks!
Ughhhh, CALCOTS!!!! Core memory of travel to Barcelona UNLOCKED--so good! 😻
I love them! I am also kinda fixated on gazpacho right now. It is so refreshing in the summer
@@savagereads which reminds me, I need to get going on my panzanella summer--i don't want to miss the chance!

@@AaronReadABook I will have to visit some of those cities! Out of those I have only been to Barcelona and Rome
Read "The F*ck-Up" by Arthur Nersessian, then follow it with "Chinese Takeout."
Thank you so much for the recommendations! I will check them out 😊
