What he has in head is to went straight for head where rail can't reach. That is basicly how predators killed them. So it isn't that unreasonable to think (I think more often you would lose, but it has some logic behind it)

You are definitely overestimating yourself with the Deinonychus. Having hollow bones doesn't mean they were made of porcelain. They are not as fragile as it sounds. Flying birds are more pneumatized yet their bones are still strong enough so that their wings don't snap due to the pressure created by pushing the air down while flapping. Dinosaurs, the big ones especially, had to be able to support their weight with their skeleton, and pneumatisation actually helped make them lighter for their size, but they still had a lot of stress that they had to endure while being active animals. Deinonychus is basically a leopard-sized flightless eagle with teeth and wing claws. I don't think and avarage person stands much of a chance. I don't even think that there's even a reliable way to restrict both its head and feet in a bare hand combat, both of which can certainly deal lethal damage without much effort. Dromaeosaur teeth are serrated so a bite pretty much anywhere can cause severe blood loss and if the second toe claw pierces a vital organ instantly game over. On the other hand we, without tools, can barely deal any damage unless we put a lot of effort like landing as many hard hits as possible (which is hard on a fast moving and agile target) or choking (which still requires to immobilize the animal which is hard when it's roughly the same size but is stronger and has more stamina due to more efficient respiratory system). I'd say that beating a Deinonychus in 1v1 with bare hands lies somewhere within the real of possibility but on the VERY unlikely size of it, about the same chance as a human would have against a leopard or a mountain lion.

You might could stand a very small chance against one depending on if you can void the tail. Probably couldn't kill the thing but you might exhaust it by dodging

I'm sure even a Hypsilophodon could defeat a human easily. They're only defenseless against the giant non avian dinosaurs, not the smaller ones. Even a Velociraptor could maul a human. Have you seen what rats and swans do?

The only way I could win is with Chinese brigandine armor and a billhook/guisarme.

It is important to notice that dinosaurs aren't like horses or cows.
Dinosaur bones likely would be more easily broken than mammals.
This doesn't mean they wouldn't heal quickly, though.
But yeah, keep that in mind.

Dryosaurus: 3 meters long, around 90kg of weight, with no hollow bones: sweet victory.
Emu: 1m50 for a weight of 30-40kg: 360 no scope.
I think you overestimate the Emu a lot, and you understimate the Dryosaurus a lot too XD
For me, both are in MAD or Womp womp category, the Emu is alone (the australian military killed a lot of Emus, the reason it's considered a loss is because they didn't kill enough compared to what was expected gven the cost of the operation ^^), and as far as I know no emu ever killed a human adult, despite over a 100 attacks in emu ranchs. But they're probaly able to kill a human... and so is Dryosaurus ^^
And I just realized, you ranked the Emu higher than Dilophosaurus! A predator twice bigger than a lion! XD

Personally, fighting some of the smaller dinosaurs will probably be like fighting a Goose, which will most certainly put up quite the fight. Utahraptor is in a weight class of a Polar Bear, so that sorts itself out. Dilophosaurus could probably give you the Dennis Nedry experience from the novel, without the venom, but it cpuld probably hold you by the head with it's mouth.
Could you maybe choke the Pachy out? Get it in a headlock? It can’t build much momentum with its head that way.
It still weighs almost 400 kgs. It'll keep charging and will eventually throw you to the ground
