Although, I would like to know what brand of boots and insulation jacket you are wearing for this video. The boots don't squeak, and I need an insulation jacket to go under my KLIM Induction jacket, which is snug with a light fleece and base layer. Keep up the great work mate.
Golden sunset while eating sloppy joes and woke up to a golden sunrise with a hot cup of coffee ...what a gorgeous view . I love camping in the desert . I appreciate the video 🌹❤️🌹
The Firebox stove returns! This is what brought me to the channel a long time ago. You were out on the GS, camping somewhere with trees and a creek, using some kind of folding metal stove and talking about some guy with pack goats. Next thing I know, I’ve got a bunch of Firebox products, a GSA, and a decent amount of camping gear… I love it. More GS and Firebox camping videos please!
Pretty fantastic as I sit here in Atlanta with a major cold front coming. Currently 46, dropping to 15, so watching this great desert adventure helps fantasize about better weather and motorcycle adventures to come! Well done!
Thanks again, Sterling, for a beautiful video. Glad you're back on the road, or whatever it may be called where you ride. I look forward to all your videos.
Good vid Sterling. You captured some of my favorite great under light skies, moon and sun rise and settings. The under light really brings out the tones of nature. Nice camp spot. Nice to have a slab in that country. Those little goat head cactus will poke through the tent floor and rip an air mattress up. All good. I worked that area in years past. Small crusher operations down in the washes and old river beads making sand and gravel. Middle of no where. Which is what like. Good roads for the most part. Nothing to challenging. Twist the grip and see some more. All good from east Kentucky USA. Next time.
Sterling, you sure live in one of the most beautiful parts of the country. I live in the coastal SE and it’s difficult to find dispersed camping tranquility near by, but I’ll keep searching. You are an inspiration.
Good morning Sterling and thank you, minus 19 up here in Canada and I bought myself a new bike, upgraded from the 300L to the 650 Vstrom and decked out. Excited to see if it will work out.
Thanks Sterling for yet another great ride n camp. Beautiful sunset and sunrise. "Sloppy Joes" reminds me of camping with my Mom as a kid. Living vicariously in your warm weather from up here at -2 on the British Columbia coast. Travel safe.
True the comment about not enough subs, and I never sub, but I just did for your channel. Been watching for a few years and love the quality, and chill presentations. Plus I like all the variations, the GS, the Honda trail, the Van and the Ural and multiple destinations. And you add in the trails, food, people, gear etc…. If you’re ever coming through Bend Oregon again you got a place to stay at our place. Just to hear the stories. I’m looking forward to a trip through Bisbee and disappointed I’ll miss your Adventure Weekend event as I have a long-standing “guys weekend” at the same time.
I'm really enjoying the sharing of, packing, unpacking, loading and traveling with the burden of all the motorcycling joy 😅 Stay safe and thank you so much for setting an example of what can be done by anyone willing 😉 ... Your videos really enhance my motorcycleing experience Look at that, Google just invented a new word for motorcycleing and added an extra E in it. No one has ever seen
I’ve camped in there a couple times. Went in on King Rd that is near the Border Patrol Station. First time on the bigger bike, did not like the main road which had lots of sections with deep gravel fill. Went back again with my truck and roof top tent and the Kawasaki KLX 300 which is more manageable. Rode 100 miles in there over 3 days. Love the 2-track sections. Snakes out on the roads early mornings.
Love what you do! Thank you for all of the thoughtful, focused content. There's so much of this wonderful state to discover. Perhaps we'll cross roads one day on our explorations of wild Arizona.
Thanks for sharing. I was just looking at the KOFA Refuge, as I'm planning a bike trip from Southern California to Texas. Definitely need to swing through there and a camp a night.
I was just camping north of Quartzite last week off Plomosa Rd on the Bouse side of the mountain. Riding my KLX 300 on the desert roads. Looking at all the RV’s in Quartzite reminds me of seagulls at a landfill. 😅
Great video Sterling!👍 Met a KLR300 owner that was new to the area at the hardware store yesterday, and sent her your way to the hotel. She’d never heard of Bisbee. AZ is a special place for motorcyclists. Spouse and I were at the theater for a play and the two older gray-hair women seated in front of us were debating the differences between 125 and 250cc mopeds. 😊
The KOFA, what a neat place to explore. In your last video you rode along the border all the way to Ajo, if the road was good you could of taken the Camino del Diablo all the way to Yuma :) Did you happen to visit the Castle Dome Mine musuem? Its a place you and your camera would love, very much worth your time to explore. In 1914 a gentleman by the name of Eriwn Baker traveled through that area (Castle Dome and McPherson Pass) on his way to establishing one of the first transcontinental records on a motorcycle. He said on Day 2" I came into the Castle Dome Mountains and passed through this wonderful desert mountain range, which has nothing more than a series of mammouth flat faced rocks, having the appearance of city skyscrapers, church spires or capital buildings." Another nice place to explore over in that area is Palm Canyon. Happy Trails and be careful out there!
Did some geologic mapping courses out there as a kid. Lovely in the winter, hellish in summer. The Kofa and jumping Cholla go together like peas and carrots. But you catch the Kofa at the right time of year, and it’s just heaven. You understand why all those biblical prophets and ascetics wandered the desert. I hope your wrist held up well, Sterling! 😃😃😃
Thanks for another great video Sterling. I was particularly struck by your advice about thinking long and hard about decending a technical hill, deciding to turn around and then (potentially) struggling to retrace your track. I’ve faced this situation a number of times and nearly got myself into real trouble. I am more cautious now. I always enjoy your content and learn from your professional level film making skills. It’s great to watch.
Can you tell me which pack that is? The tan one that you have hanging from your pannier and what you are using to hang it from? Another great video, thank you
Have a 2017 GS with aspirations similar to your wonderful experiences! A couple of questions..1. How did you get the small Pelican case mounted to the factory luggage rack? 2. Noticed your Garmin Zumo mounted off center bar mount vs factory windshield cross bar. How is it working and can you see the display over your tank bag? Thank you and keep up this awesome channel! Chuck.
Great video. I'm planning a ride to Southern Arizona based on your recent videos and hopefully we'll stay at your hotel. By the way, who makes the motorcycle pants you are wearing?
Sterling, I know you are very experienced rider, but it would be great to hear your thoughts and comparisons of this bike and your honda 125 on these roads. It would just be interesting coming from you who we very much trust. Thanks
And forgot to state how much I appreciate your analysis of the road terrain and how you make thoughtful descision and then try to chose the trails, all of this is helpful. Thanks you.
@motorcycletravelchannel your content and filmography is getting better and better. Superficial question; are those regular jeans or some sort of riding jeans? Thanks
Great video as usual. Too bad you had to return the Ural. It would bring a whole new dimension to the adventure. I noticed in this video as well as your recent towns along the border video that sometimes you ride with your phone mounted on the bike and sometimes you don’t. Any rhyme or reason?
I was wondering if you used the phone when you wanted access to the Butler maps that may not have been available on your GPS. I’m a big fan of the Butler Maps.
Just about the Ride. No sales pitch for gear, accessories or the bike. Pure content.
Although, I would like to know what brand of boots and insulation jacket you are wearing for this video. The boots don't squeak, and I need an insulation jacket to go under my KLIM Induction jacket, which is snug with a light fleece and base layer. Keep up the great work mate.
Not induction but latitude jacket.
I don’t know…I’ve never wanted Manwich so much in my life :)
"Didn't see a single person out here." Those are the best rides.
I don't know why You don't have more followers. Your Channel is awsome. Regards form Poland.
It's going up slowly but steady.
🎉🎉🎉🎉Thanks 👍👍👍🎉🎉🎉
Sterling, you’re an excellent videographer and filmmaker. I felt that I was in this video and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Great video. Thank you very well, done as always.
I’m glad to see your hand has healed and are again riding the BMW off-road.
T7 is better
Ok, Arizona desert the place to be in the winter👍. Wonderful, tranquil episode👏
Great job as always... Really enjoy your solo camp rides...
You’re on a roll, bud - the last couple of videos have been spectacular. You have a gift. Thanks for sharing!
I like watching you pack everything into your bike, it’s good to see how everything will fit in
As beautiful is the riding is, I enjoy the camping more than anything. Thanks for sharing!
Golden sunset while eating sloppy joes and woke up to a golden sunrise with a hot cup of coffee ...what a gorgeous view . I love camping in the desert . I appreciate the video 🌹❤️🌹
What are ‘sloppy Joe’s’ ? Canned tomatoes ?🇬🇧

Love your videos, thanks Sterling. Brightens my day!
Arizona is very beautiful and you do a wonderful job capturing the beauty!
Awesome ride Sterling, we camped Kofa a few years back, its even more beautiful than I remember.
Hi Sterling ! I was the person on the XR250. It was great to meet you and chat a bit. Enjoy your videos !
Cool! I’m glad you caught this video even though it’s a little bit late!
Awesome vid as usual, everything I love about moto camping and exploring ! Have my ticket for this April and stoked get down to ride!!!
I’m stoked you’re going!

Beautiful man, just beautiful
Two of my young children watched this with me and we were all engrossed throughout! From a fan in the UK.
A fellow bachelor enjoying his peace, quiet, and freedom. Watching from Puerto Vallarta. Timmy C Arizona
The desert is so stunning! Thanks for sharing
Great ride, great camping and complete solitude-what more could you want?! Oh, and food and wine too..
Great video work Sterling! Awesome video!

I love it when the sun drops below a dark, gloomy sky.
THE G🟡LDEN HOUR!
As always, a marvelous video!
A particularly good episode, Sterling
Sterling, you sure live in one of the most beautiful parts of the country. I live in the coastal SE and it’s difficult to find dispersed camping tranquility near by, but I’ll keep searching.
You are an inspiration.
Terrific video as usual. Can't wait for moto camping season! Cheers from New Brunswick, Canada.
Good morning Sterling and thank you, minus 19 up here in Canada and I bought myself a new bike, upgraded from the 300L to the 650 Vstrom and decked out. Excited to see if it will work out.
Sounds like you’re ready for some good riding!
I bet the night sky view is amazing! Enjoy, be safe and stay well.
Thank you for coming to dinner - thank you for inviting us to join you. Your setup is sweet.
Amazing storytelling, amazing life. One I can very easily see myself living. Keep it up my friend, all of it.
Ogień 🔥🔥🔥, no i ten wydech naprawdę fajnie gada 💪

First! Another great video😄🕺🏍

Good to see the GS back..
Fantastic area to explore, and stunning vistas.
Another great adventure👍🏻
Love the video, Sterling. Desert riding and camping looks like a blast. Love your videos.
You’re a great salesman for spending time in the desert. I’m so tired of the rain.
Awesome . Thank you so much for a very enjoyable outride . Beautiful country-reminds me of the Small Karoo
Wonderful how you capture landscapes and moods on your way. Günter/Nürnberg

Glad you’re getting some inspiration! Ride safe.
Another great one. Greetings from Wales, UK.
One of my favorite places.
Good video bro.
Perfect area for motorcycle camping all winter and spring.
Cheers from Prescott.
Sterling, Another great video! Thank you! Im looking forward to exploring some AZ beauty around Bisbee in April. Can’t wait!
Absolutely Fantastic Trip Amigo!
Quartzsite visit was brief which I understand depending on the Time!
Really Enjoyed the Ride !
We visited Kofa in summer. It certainly wasn’t the right time to visit, but the remoteness and isolation sure felt good.
Gorgeous setting and video
Thats the stuff Sterling 👌🏻
🔥⛺️🏍
I wasnt digging the little honda tbh but this stuff is mint 🌱
Glad the bmw content is back! Good show!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.

Excelente cámping por el desierto, buen video como siempre amigo, yo estoy en Puerto peñasco sonora, saludos...
There is a whole world out there. We just have to make the decision to explore it.
The more I see Arizona, the more I like it.
Thanks for the video….great as usual. Saludos from La Paz, BajaSur
Just beautiful !!
Thank you! 👍
Wow! That full moon setting in the west as the sun was rising in the east was stunning! Cool spot! ❤
Great video. Just moved to Las Vegas and semi-retirement. Making plans to visit southern AZ-and hopefully a stop for a stay at the Jonquil too.
Great video Sterling!👍 Met a KLR300 owner that was new to the area at the hardware store yesterday, and sent her your way to the hotel. She’d never heard of Bisbee. Thank you! I think the wrist is doing pretty good
Great moto travelogue!
Stunning !
There are multiple management groups for KOFA as far as what I read.
Thanks for another great video Sterling. ❤️ the desert. 👏👏👍👍
EXCELLENT!
That GS must feel like a monster compared to that little bike you were riding for a while there!
They have a Radio Shack in that town!
Do a shot every time Sterling says “road”
What’s your coat rack thingamajig?
If I remember right, it was a telescoping camera pole that he straps to the bike. Uses it to hang his kitchen organizer.
It’s a camera monopod turned upside down
Holy crap - WHERE did you find all those sticks? Been all over the Kofa, and never seen that much "wood"?
There was a little bit of a pile of scrap wood over by the abandoned trailer
Sterling, your cinematic videos are some of my favorite on YT. I was wondering who makes those large yellow bags?
Great story and video. I'm not sure but did I see you make....... instant coffee? 🙂
Yes 😁
Can you tell me which pack that is? The tan one that you have hanging from your pannier and what you are using to hang it from? Another great video, thank you
Nice video! Makes me want to go out there! If you ever come to San Diego hit me up and I’ll show you some great rides!
I'm glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for the invite!
awesome video...again ;-)
What kind of navigation system do you use in the dessert Sterling?
Nice!

Thank you for sharing this video. What tires are you running on the GS?
What do you do for predator control? Both 4 legged and or 2 legged, plus rattlesnakes etc?
Nothing specific other than common sense, I’ve never had a problem… Yet. I carry bear spray when I’m traveling up in the Rockies.
I told myself after I got out of the service that I wasn't ever going to camp (on purpose) anymore. This is making me re-think that.
Great video. I'm planning a ride to Southern Arizona based on your recent videos and hopefully we'll stay at your hotel. By the way, who makes the motorcycle pants you are wearing?
Sterling did a full gear summary video about 4 years ago. At that time the pants he was wearing were BMW branded denim riding pants.
@@billmartin3198 thanks for the info!
What riding jeans & gloves do you got there?
Sterling, I know you are very experienced rider, but it would be great to hear your thoughts and comparisons of this bike and your honda 125 on these roads. It would just be interesting coming from you who we very much trust. Thanks

@motorcycletravelchannel your content and filmography is getting better and better. Superficial question; are those regular jeans or some sort of riding jeans? Thanks
Definitely riding jeans with built-in crash protection. I find them to be very comfortable, but I wouldn’t wear just regular jeans.
Great video as usual. Too bad you had to return the Ural. It would bring a whole new dimension to the adventure. I noticed in this video as well as your recent towns along the border video that sometimes you ride with your phone mounted on the bike and sometimes you don’t. Any rhyme or reason?
No particular reason. I generally prefer not to have the phone mounted unless I specifically need it.
I was wondering if you used the phone when you wanted access to the Butler maps that may not have been available on your GPS. I’m a big fan of the Butler Maps.
