This allows me insight into a portion of the 80s that was always just a tiny bit beyond my reach. Pink Floyd was my primary source of inspiration, and few of my friends ventured much further than that. Of course, there was Yello, and Tangerine Dream, yet somehow Pythagoras was still too obscure, and it's taken me until now to discover them. I'm completely blown away by the genius of it all.
Ashra is my go-to for this kind of music. New Age of Earth, Blackouts, and Belle Alliance, all great albums from around the same time as this Pythagoras record.
good ole vintage prog!
*When It Comes* sounds like a farewell song.
I wouldn't mind getting my ash spread over some landscape to this tune. I couldn't _actually_ mind it, but you know what I mean.
A great album, I fell in love with the last song, pure melancholy. Excellent.
Interesting stuff and very much of its time. Never even heard of the band before this. En zij komen uit Nederland! Prachtig!
majestic and extremely relaxing
Very good relaxing album, Part IV is my personal favorite section. I am glad the image that appears later in this video was not on the main screen, otherwise I would have completely ignored the suggestion! The featured artwork is good, and many times I avoid bands because of bad artwork, stupid band names, etc. Thanks for sharing this subtle yet refreshing music 🎼 💛 👍
Wonderful album with soothing and moving sounds.
It's a long time I hear this music
Have the albums
The time I smoke weed whit Bob and then this music great times
Part III is just tremendous!
Wow, one of my new favorites.
Congrats progline on giving us something very special to mull over and penetrate to the inner reaches of our big but often stupid brain. Cheers to enlightenment.
🤣
I just read about this album in a 1978 Penthouse and as an avid fan of electronic music and synth freak I had to come check it out, I'm surprised I never heard about it before. I'm a few mins in and so far so good. I like that it's a departure from Kraftwerk or JMJ it's it's own thing
fine beautiful electronic progressive , with a very cosmic vibe !!!
This is absolutely beautiful, THANK YOU so much for the upload! now i have PYTHAGORAS in my life
Never heard; dig it a lot. Great keyboard works. So moody and obscure.
Seems a mix of Kraftwerk, Wavemaker and Tangerine Dream.
Greetings from Brazil!
Brilliant album !
Prog line......you are my new friend. Great work bud, loving all these albums. Thanks very much.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻✌🏻️✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻😌
Gostei muito.......grande albúm.......Parabéns !!!!
The Lonely Rocker digs this kinda music!
Let us hold our banners High !!!
FANTASTIC!
Gracias!
One of the most greatful prog electric album I heard this time. This is superb!!! Thank you Prog Line for the nice choice of your music-collection !!!

Oh this is so beautiful, thank you Prog Line
Yes great synth sounds
Excelente banda
istening to all these prog rock groups, I understand how great was Keith Emerson
Always had a trouble with Emerson, sure bought all the albums but Kieth Emerson like John McLaughlin do not feel their notes they throw them around as they fall like confetti from their fingers, prefer Tony Banks from Genesis... but we all have different tastes but don't think I will sit this one out though.
@@zelly8163 I don't think that playing fast means that they dont feel their notes...
Virtuosity Isn't everything. Some times 2 chord garage punk has more music then endless noodling without focus, i give a try to any given genre, there exist lousy jazz and great punk and vice versa. This one is good, not great (for The first listen)
@@anfrankogezamartincic1161 Totally agree, I would suggest to listen to this: ua-cam.com/video/CZA1hqlmcYc/v-deo.html
I was disappointed in the 2016 Dream Theater Astonishing performance. Talk about fast and unfeeling. Sights and sounds were so pre-programmed and designed for massive integrated sensory impact that they lost me in 15 minutes. So at least they had me for 15 minutes
goodvery very well to all......................
This is taking me on a fantastic journey! Superb stuff! 😃
It's delicious !!! For 1980.... of course !!! Atmospheric partitions !!!
Last track is very moving
The first track's use of synths is very much reminiscent to IQ's "The Last Human Gateway" (from "Tales from the Lush Attic", 1983).
Perfect songs to read the subjective forms of the clouds and to follow with a tender eye the grooves of the stems of the trees; appreciate the complex writing of the nested branches, taste the colors of the decomposition of light into water droplets in a garden, and strongly feel the wet soil of ancestral forest to perceive the traces of animals from deep past¯\_(ツ)_/¯
That sounds like nice acid, my friend.
Stay inspired.
@@Theineluctable_SOME_CANT Merci l'ami 🎶🌅
Well and noble pursuits; all they may be....
Muito bom de se escutar...
Wow Numbers one!
Great album!!Great band!!
Tnx Bro
I love it.
Congrats on 10k subs baby. Love you.
OTIMO,GOSTEI !
Magic!
Rather nice and yes long live prog rock

Not bad, not bad at all.

Part III ♥
Jewel
good
¡Discazo!
Pretty good etheric electronica.
Hello, i love these uncommon/beautifully arranged album's so i will share these with you and hope some of you will share some with me too. I want more like these old creative one's ranging from dark to light, fast to slow .. they put a smile on my face. Hopefully we'll be on the same level. much love
Klaus Schulze
18:40 sounds like Shine on you crazy Diamond / Part 9 (PinkFloyd)

OK here is my issue with many of these early obscure prog albums And , its understandable because a new technolgy was constantly blooming and folks were playing with it. I get that But way too much keyboard synth in most of these and not enough guitar or other things All kind of sounds the same unless u have a virtuoso like Emerson or Wakeman and a few others More bands might have followed the lead of VDGG with sax horns etal That was a unique and way prog sound
The drummer is stucked in 1974.
está bueno pero he escuchado mejores
Amateurish
I never ever write bad about a band . Only if they load up music like this. It is so bored, oversimply, easy to play and meaningless. Drum and synthesizer. But seriously..... Give a 5 years young child this instrument... It will sound better
get rolled lmfaooooooo 😂😂😭😭💀💀
