Brother, u want horror stories, google Building 1, Navy Medical Center Portsmouth, VA. I was station in the new hospital in 1999, but sometimes had to pull duty in building 1 while they were refurbished it since it was like 200 years old. They couldn't keep civilian security staff to patrol it so we had to, we couldn't quit. Never failed that something would follow you thru the hallways, especially since I worked the 7 pm to 7 am shift. See shadow people all the time, sometime multiples at a time. I hated it but it made me a believer.

Story 1: "The Frog"... but made for a decent story
Not every ghost encounter is scary. I heard of one story of someone in a home turned museum where they had seen a woman wearing an 1800s dress. She thought she was a staff member but after she had told her that the home was beautiful the woman smiled and disappeared she then saw a painting of the woman. It was the lady of the house she had seen.

that last one could be a secondary story writen for that new black ops but wasnt used. but the end is the most military thing ever
im loving it, you should believe ghost are real if not then just say out loud that you are there if anyone or anything wants to talk your not there to hurt but to help and watch what happens but make sure its genuine and you will soon see one i said them exact words lay in bed one night few nights pass and i seen a person in my room sat looking back at me when i broke line of sight to go check the full room it was gone i checked the hole house no one anywhere i moved out the following week
I was a Security Police Officer on a top secret base in the central part of Nevada. We did single man patrols and might cover 100 to 200 miles a night. Being in the high desert at night we could pick up almost every AM radio station in 4 states. I was in the mountains one night and Art Bell was talking about bigfoot. Scared the shit out of me, lol. I didn't get out of my patrol vehicle the rest of my shift to check buildings, equipment, etc. Makes me laugh to this day, big tough Nuclear guard, armed to the teeth, scared of Bigfoot.

I know the feeling of wanting to be a part of a horror story similar to these, although one day i wished that i was just to see that ghosts are real but when you are actually in that situation you want to be anywhere but in that situation, after the experience i had i definitely believe that ghost are real

I don’t remember what it’s called, but one of my favorite stories is about this squad patrolling somewhere in the Middle East at night (story was based sometime early 2000s), and out on their patrol, they run into a crazed US soldier that is dressed completely different and older gear. Looking at it, the main character realizes this guy was from the Gulf War period, but has been left out in the desert roaming as a crazed man. Obviously not true in any sense, but the idea and how the story panned was really good
The partner is called an "Alpha" because the patrol lead will be a call sign like, Mike-1, and the second member will be followed by an "A" so Mike-1A, if there was a third, it would be a B or bravo, Mike-1B. Spent 20 years in the same careerfield in the USAF.
The last story sounds very much like a fictional one...like some of the words used and the dialouge it sound very book-like to me. I must say tho, this is my FAVOURITE of the three. On the narrative alone and I want more. Because that ending was pretty open and could have contiuation. If this was a novel I would read the hell out of it. It's got everything. The penmanship is great, the characters sound pretty interesting and I'm invested in the mystery of it all.
As for the second story, I'm with you. It sounds a bit too sci-fi to me as well. It's just...I don't doubt bad shit happened, but this sounds very-movie like. The green liquid and the tubes and reading enemy's mind. I somehow don't think CIA at the time would be doing something like this. It's an ok story, but I prefer the third one, in terms of secret military operation thing. I feel like Vietnam war(as the story takes place there) doesn't need enemy heads in containers and experiments. What we know happened for sure is much, much more horrible.
The first story was the only one that was eal sounding enough to be even slightly spooky.
They were all pretty weak, though.

that first 1 was so lame though, the 2nd was a lil better but skipped too much and the 3rd realy had me going but cut off too soon
So what about the UK you prefer over the US. Me personally I can't think of any, except for it's history.
Story 1: 7/10, the best of the three. Just your classic good old fashioned ghost story
Story 2: 4/10, too sci-fi-y to really grab me or seem believable. They might have been trying to get Intel from dead VC but the fact that this nobody radio operator wasn't disappeared means it's bupkis.
Story 3: 5/10, seemed like another concoction of someone who liked Dead Space and numbers stations. Also obligatory "THE NUMBERS, MASON!"
