This is a masterpiece on its own created by the wizard of parfumery Francois Demachy. For me it represents the pinnacle of french perfumery together with the Dior Homme Parfum. The rose in this is soo gourgeous, decadent, rich and uplifting. Its just incredible scent. I will allways have a bottle of this in my collection. Thanks for this review AC. Have a great 2025. Happy New Year Sir!!!
Very nice of you to say that and I agree with everything you said. Absolutely beautiful creation ! Thank you for watching and a very happy new year to you too :).
I first tried ambre nuit in 2013 and instantly fell in love, unfortunately being a student at that time i could not afford it. I saved money for 4 years and was able to buy a 2015 bottle in 2017. Now here's the issue, this perfume was reformulated somewhere around 2015 as the batch I got the first time did not smell anything like the bottle I tried back in 2013 so I went back to the shop and replaced it with the only other 2015 bottle they had and the moment I tried it I was reminded of the fragrance that mesmerized me in 2013. The older batch is so much more opulent, fuller and rounded than the reformulation post 2015, with elegance that is balanced perfectly. The newer (post 2015) batch to my nose has a quality of rose closer to hand soaps used in India and Pakistan, lacking in the opulence of its predecessor. To date this has been one of my most complimented fragrance from the opposite gender and one of the very few bottles I reluctantly share with my partner, to her dissatisfaction 😅.
Great review my dear friend! This is really good, although my favorites are Eau noire and feve delicious ! Wish it had more longevity and sillage. Best wishes from Mexico .
I would be very keen on knowing your thoughts for current formulations as this has been on my watch list for some time, but never had the chance to smell it. Would be interested to know if current versions are worth the money. Great review as always!
I used up my bottle of this I had for a few years. I recently smelled the current bottles at the Dior boutique and it has been changed/watered down, I’m soo disappointed as this was one of my favourites.
Great photorealistic review again AC!! Knocking em out as always. I am looking to try started with an amber frag and considered Ambre Sultan or Armaf Niche Oud...now this. What's your opinion? 😊 P.s- Declaration Parfum reminds me of Gulab Jamun and HDP 1740 remind me of Gulkand 😂.
hahah I don't get any Gulab Jamun from declaration Parfum 😂😂. If you like Oriental style thick fragrances then Ambre Sultan is unbeatable and so is Niche Oud for the price, tag along Ombre Noire. If you want something thats super wearable, then this along with SOUL and Five o' Clock au Gingembre is just fab! if you like modern synthetic take then Grand Soir is superb and finally if you like complex super awesome amber then Epic Man, Overture Man and Lonestar Memories are absolutely unbeatable. I have reviewed all except ON and Five o' clock.
@@ACSmellsGoodoh boy what a comprehensive list!! Hats off! I am leaning towards Ombre Noire as it also has Myrrh and I'm a sucker for MYRRRHHH😂. Is the Myrrh prominent? If not I think Niche Oud is a great value (close to Ambre Sultan frm ur nose). Haven't tried either yet 😅 but tried all the others u mentioned.

It got reformulated again in the past few years and it smells amazing.

@@fhadfarooq3297 No idea i got a decant, try the latest one in the store they all the same and amazing. In the air they all smell the same.
Solid quote
Excellent review as usual. Ambre Nuit is also one of my favorites and is classic fragrance!

I know this is out of place but you must try house of matriarch orca, if you can find a sample in the UK it is the real smell of ambergris.
Many thanks AC, did try this on paper strip and not on skin @ Dior boutique, need to retry on skin...Great review as always 👍🏻👍🏻
Worth trying on skin for sure.

I wish I could help, I haven't tried the current versions unfortunately but this one is a 2018 bottle.

😢 a gorgeous fragrance lost to the tides of reformulation.
Beautiful AC 😊, my planned (crossed fingers)SOTD for Diwali. Love to know yours..in Diwali video 😉.
