Got one a few months ago, but have not had time to test it. Creativity is at an all time low for us lately because, well, there is nothing much good happening lately to inspire us. We will survive though and hope things get more inspirational. Nice demo!
I assure you will going to crazy...!😜 8 LFO and 3 envelopes for each tone. After this you can choose 108 waveforms.. 6 types of distortions..reverb..delay..phaser..chorus and EQ. And if you have more time you can split the each single part of Sequencer. Different tone at different octave. You can make 2 Seq line per Seq part..😏 And with palette cursors you have the mixer of the 4 tones. ✌🏻😅
Great review. You focused on what one can do rather than what its limitations are. I love how you let the voices clip and showed that in the overlay. Double thumbs up.
Awesome, cheers for that feedback! Yeah I just want to focus on sounds really, I think that's the bottom line for most people and too much chatter is just dull. I certainly find myself dull if I say too much, so there you go...
I think this confirms why I don't want one. I always wanted a JD800 but I was a teenager who couldn't afford one. And now I listen to these sounds and I can make my JDXi do stuff which, I feel, sounds just as good.
I just got the JDXi and I live in NZ. Synths are expensive. the JDXi on sale was $800. The Boutiques are $799. I subscribed to your channel for some great tips and song tutorials. I haven’t owned a synth since my CZ 5000 and Yamaha Rx series so using this is boss level. I haven’t made electronica since the mid 80s and I find this synth so creative and mailable to anything I imagine.
I am looking for a single machine/plug-in that can give me the libraries from the following for the roles given: Synth/Keyboards Roland S-50, D-110, JX-8P Drums/Percussion Roland TR-626, TR-505, D-110, S-50 Yes, I know D-110 and D-50 have been repeated. I am trying to replicate some sounds.
Ok. Weird question but I'm looking for a small and cheap thing that is currently easy to find that can be considered as the worst electronic musical instrument. For context, I'm in Canada and I often exchange packages with a friend from the UK. And it has always been a tradition to send eatch other bad musical instruments to make music. From automatones to roll up pianos to finger pianos. But I'm running out of plans. So would you have an idea? Thanks!
I’d be inclined to look in the toys section on Ebay, perhaps using search terms such as “noise“ or “ musical“. They sound unilaterally terrible but some of them have some surprisingly advanced beaches like little samplers or expression controllers… Sounds like a fun arrangement you’ve got with your buddy. Best of luck with it.
That organ sound at around 7:40 was like Deep Purple brought forward 30 years, very nice indeed

Ahh, inspiration. Ever-elusive, and yet it's often found in your direct surroundings. Don't you think?

@@lawrencecron672 Thanks. I've not had chance to do much recently, but hoping to do something this week.

What I really wanna know is where'd you get those cool visuals @ 5:30?
It's all on my other UA-cam channel: "Geared Weird Visualizers" :)
those tinny drone pitch decays and glassy bell sounds around 4:50-5:30 make me want to listen to the Akira soundtrack.
The JD-800 was the prototype for the JV-80, so it's sample based and no analog emulation.
Yes..is a wavetable synth.
108 waveforms..
and obviously without Sync oscillators..😜

Nice, all these leprechaun-sliders. Ideal for fine adjustments.
Can’t deny it’s true ;)
I wonder where you keep your gear at your home if you say your are the Biggest gear or teac channel 😂
Ha ha yes well shit is pretty full :-) and I regularly sell things off on the Gearfacts Facebook group
@@gearfacts Thank god. I was expeting something else but good for you but I do wonder if your seeled psr-s670 or not because its pretty useful now
Such a ridiculous design.. Is Roland trying to push people away from buying their stuff?
