We've been watching you guys since the first days of your Asia travels, when we were preparing to move to SE Asia ourselves. Seeing these prices, and how little they have changed, is absolutely insane! We lived in Vietnam for a year, and Malaysia for 8 months, while we used them as a home base to travel to other countries - and it was absolutely amazing. Since moving back to Europe, prices have climbed more and more as time went on (while wages remained the same). It seems like many places in SE are completely unchanged, in all these years since we've been there. We're going back soon, and we are BEYOND excited to return! Amazing food, amazing people, and prices we can actually afford...😆
Guys that’s awesome! Yeah we were actually shocked at how affordable Vietnam still is, even with more commercialisation going on it’s still so affordable! Highly recommend, you’ll see later in our series some of the smaller beach towns are charmers and we could totally spend nomadic time there
Last month I was in Hoi An, I visited An Bang beach and it was great. You guys should try it. It's about 4,5 km from central Hoi An. One of the best beaches in Vietnam.
Vietnam culture and people are wonderfu, and the pork is the best I have ever hadl. Hoi An is a must visit. Watch out for the mosquitos, our Vietnamese friend got malaria or dengue fever and was sick in bed for at least a week. Enjoy your trip.
So true, they just know pork aye? It’s delicious in everything. Ahhh that’s a shocker for your friend, we hate mosquitos so are always lathered up to avoid them 😂
I went to Vietnam last year on a group tour. I fell in love with it as a country and would love to go back. My dream would be to spend a couple of months travelling through. Hoi An was beautiful.
Just found your channel and must say that we thoroughly enjoy your VLogs. We appreciate the level that you engage at, the quick exchange rate conversions and the brevity you bring. We'll done!
Back in 2019 my wife and I were planning a trip to Vietnam and that's how we came across your channel back then, as we were searching for things to do in Hoi An. Pumped for this series!
So awesome.. perfect timing for Vlogs .. I’m going at the start of October with Intrepid travel.. I so enjoy your Vlogs … I can’t wait to explore Vietnam.
We've followed you guys from many years but got sidetracked as we're now living in Colombia, BUT WOW, LOVE this editing style you guys have going here. The short really caught our eyes and made us check out your long version :) Hat's off, exciting to see you guys evolving in such a positive way. Best Wishes, James and Kim ❤
So good to see you guys back! And thanks for the kind words too, we’re constantly trying to get better ❤️ we hope life is treating you amazingly, sounds like you’re also on an epic journey of life

Thank you for your interesting and relaxing videos filming in Vietnam. It is blessing for you couple to have money, time, and good health to travel some countries in Southeast Asia. Especially back in Vietnam. Thank you again for your great video filming in Hoi An. Looking forward to see other videos.
The footage of night time light up looks so pretty 😍 eek those scooters sure go fast drive very close 🫣 Have a wonderful trip. Exploring vetmam 😜 safe travels . 🥰
This is such high quality production. Im not sure what microphone you are using, but the background sounds you manage to capture is incredible, and the commentary is crystal clear.
some of those name brand shoes are actually produced in vietnam, thailand and phillipines before being sold by ASICS, Adidas etc in the west after prices jacked up 10 orc 12 times lol.
Hope your ear is better, Stacey! Also I love how all Central Asian towns have like. A look lol. The same sort of shops, the same motorbikes... You know you're in that area, even if the details are different. Also I love the lizard just lying in the salad lol. Salt coffee sounds really interesting.
Very accurate, there’s just a ‘something’ right? You nailed it with your description! Luckily you can get antibiotics over the counter in Vietnam and Staves air cane right quickly l
Thanks for showing us around folks. It has surely inspired me to get on over there and experience it first hand. Vietnam looks truly amazing. Hope to make a trip in '25.
What is craaaazy to me is I started following y’all when I decided to quit my job and start traveling abroad in 2018. Ran into you on the beach in Canggu 1 year later when I was 2 months into it all… now 6 years later you’re revisiting the place the I’ve now deemed “home base”. Hope you enjoyed it as much as your first go around! Hoi An is special 💛❤
NO WAY! That’s so cool and you might not believe this, but we think we actually remember you as well. So happy to hear you found your path too, hope life is great for you ❤️
Traveling to Hoi An ancient town is an interesting and memorable experience. You can explore cultural values through nostalgic architecture and folk art activities. Come back to Hoi An and our beautiful country of Vietnam!
Hi there, we’re planning a Vietnam trip N to S with a longer stay in Hoi An but we’re a bit confused about what time of year to go. What month were you in Hoi An? Thanks Andy
Sorry for the delay, Andy! This was September, maybe we got lucky with the weather, but it was mostly great for us. Vietnam is so long though you can't really pick one season that works for North, Central and South sadly
Thank you for visiting our country. But I want to say a few things that foreign friends still misunderstand about Vietnam. First, Vietnamese people are not like Chinese people. Because Vietnamese people have large, clear double eyelids since birth without the need for cosmetic surgery. While Chinese people do not have characteristic double eyelids. Therefore, I hope foreign friends do not misunderstand that Vietnamese people have eyes similar to East Asian people (Japanese, Korean, Chinese). We Vietnamese people are completely different from East Asians in terms of "eyes". You can come to Vietnam to verify what I say. You can go anywhere in Vietnam and meet many people with double eyelids. Second, Vietnam has a cold winter from October to March every year. That's all I wanted to say. Wishing you good health to explore other countries around the world .Thank you.
I am 59 I backpacked South East Asia in the late 1989 onwards I boarded the first passenger plane in 1990 to Vietnam Saigon the public cheered as we came through went to Sihn Cafe $25 for a 15 day trip around the country but Hoian was lovely in return in November to Hoian the roads were full of bycicles in Hanoi anyway you both are great to watch
Stacey I would also get the vegetarian one too ! I dont think it would be my thing either!!!!! I get sad about this country cause I hear some of the locals eat dogs and cats????? which is a no no for me ! Dogs and cats are our love companions and not meant to be eaten in my opinion!!! I plan in the future with our wealth that we get to have be able to fund animal sancturaries when needed!! THATS HOW MUCH I LOVE OUR PETS!!!!!!
The beer is called Larue (not Tiger), although it has a Tiger image on the can. Agree it’s not great. But, the real Tiger Beer, which is Singaporean and is also everywhere in Hoi An, is much better

This is such high quality production.

We really appreciate that, thanks. The mic is bloody expensive haha, glad to hear it’s worth it - especially in such a loud country
some of those name brand shoes are actually produced in vietnam, thailand and phillipines before being sold by ASICS, Adidas etc in the west after prices jacked up 10 orc 12 times lol.
True! But I’d say the quality on the street isn’t the same, if we could source the real thing for cheap we’d be keen!
Vietnam Food just hits different!?
We plan on coming back to Vietnam next year!! Can’t wait!! Maybe we could collaborate some day!! 😊
