There is no better face for E-Sports than this guy right here. Very humble and down to Earth. He is realistic in giving advice to the young ones and he leads by example and work, not by talk.
I remember when he turned down a kid wanting to become a pro and dropping out of school. The kid's dad was dying of cancer afaik and he wanted reassurance that his son wouldn't struggle when he's gone. He told him straight that he should keep studying.
@@Geheimnis-c2e he did not completely turned down the kid, thats abit wrong. he just said that he should not completely abandon his studies on his pursuit on becoming a pro gamer, in a sense dont put all your fish in 1 basket. heck right now that kid is actually in challenger last time i check, and stil trying to complete his dream
@@Geheimnis-c2e the heck you on abt? That’s kid is young, and probably have no idea how harsh Pro League is. What if he fails? Who will bear that responsibility? Faker was being realistic while giving the kid’s advice.
Kudos to Faker for making such a sincere, positive and heartwarming speech even though he was very nervous. He gave a good advice to the youths about working hard towards their dreams and passions even though there would be failures along the way.
A true trailblazer for Koreans in eSports. He probably laid out a foundation for how these kids should save and invest their money in such a unstable industry.
The fact that he changed his speech from scripted to semi-improvised speaks a lot of him as a leader and a role model. To have such honesty saying thet he was hella nervous up there, is another proof of his resilience and challenge beating nature. He's simply the GOAT, inside and outside the game. What a human being!
You can tell he really made a big step conquering those nerves. Faker has always been professional with the press, but also quite introverted and reserved. And what a great message about taking the opportunity to grow from a loss. That's the mf goat right there.
It's the first time I hear Faker talking that long. And he gave such a speech. He was very nervous, but without reading anything, he just spoke so well and fluent. Aside from his speech and his story as a player, I think his message about thinking outside the box, and embracing new technologies and being innovative is really key to face new challenges.
He is so authentic being 100% himself on stage expressing how he truly feels even though he has reach the top of his career. We need more of this human being in this world 🥺
Identifying previous speech and lineup, take a cue and paused, not rushing and presenting his keypoint in between, situated himself with environment.. These were all done like any seasoned public figure and you doing it graciously✨
@JoeARedHawk275 my apology. Initially, I meant for public speaker but not sure whether the term is received as I intended. In a way, for a 1st timer, his speech were done eloquently.
It's understandable that he'd be so nervous. It's an event not related to esport at all, not to mention LOL, and he's alone there as the representative. He did really really great. His sincerity is felt through his speech
This is the champions mindset right here - being scared but doing it anyways. Very well timed speech, pausing to reset nerves and keep fighting through! The absolute best face for esports and the GOAT
That was a beautiful speech. And Faker has a beautiful personality. He spoke from his heart and gave advice to the young generation as a humble leader. What a specimen of a human being. Simply incredible
Well, I can see it. It would be interesting to see this particular competitor navigate the presidency as a challenge, though I wonder if Faker will be suited for the political meta of that potential future. He would make sound investments in math, science and technology and that's itself is worth a vote!
bro literally gave a whole manga real life adaption , smacking glasses into mic, talk on his come up, pausing to think to himself cause no words could come out of nervousness, ended with motivation.
He's an excellent example of what a Good man is and young boys should aspire to be the best they can. Faker is a great example of remaining humble, working hard, and always being a good person no matter what. That alone is a success as a human. We can all learn from wonderful people like Lee Sang Hyuk.
i love seeing world champions from all walks of lives in different sports and hearing their stories.. good on him. i do remember when he lost the worlds 8 years in a row, i think we all lost hope and many people thought it was time for him to retire but look at him return.. back to back championships.
Faker who streamed to stadium of people and played live in front of thousands meets his true test of nerves: public speaking. He did great and was understandably nervous!
I have never seen Faker so nervous and even flustered before... Nice to know that he, too, experiences these feelings. I couldn't imagine a better representative for eSports as a whole.
Impossible not to love this man. If you hate Faker, you’ve got some other stuff going on internally. I can’t think of a single reason to dislike him other than he beat your team. Even then you should respect him for that.
I'll always support the player and the team that got me into LOL. I'm so proud that the person I'm supporting has turned not only into a GOAT but also a positive force in the community.
Lol, not reading a script as an introvert is a huge huge challenge in front if a huge audience esp. In the first time. To summarise what he said, he mature from anger when losing to learning when losing. Also dont fear trying when youre young and fear failing.
Não tinha um representante melhor do que o faker!!! O cara é uma lenda, responsável por ser inspiração de diversos jogadores que hj são pro players. Ele estava nervoso coitado kkkkkkkkk faz parte, continue evoluindo faker.
Lee Sanghyeok has the work ethic of any individual outside the gaming world who wants to work hard to achieve success. I have never seen a player this level headed with full of maturity and success in my life among pro players. He deserves it.
Speaking without reading a script, just shows how much he prepared beforehand, I can imagine he practiced speaking quite a lot as well. I have experience it beforehand, and for me to be able to speak in public fluently, I'll need at least weeks of constant practice. Kudos to him 👍
Bro faker has a career outside of league too. He's got quite a cool stage presence and well spoken. For a young man who took a chance on gaming and wasn't much the academic hes very intelligent, though I do remember him saying in a separate video that he reads alot of books, doesn't drink, smoke and all that and has a very well balanced life. Good on him. The GOAT!
Dude was more nervous than Worlds Finals lmao
At worlds finals he is the authority. Here he is speaking to the world's authorities.
The Worlds Finals is his stomping grounds, his home turf
Can you blame him? He's not wearing his battle gear!
Why would he be afraid at worlds final. The guy just has a built in now I win button.
He knew he will win against LPL, no reason to be nervous 😂
