And now he is making his F1 debut, Good luck Liam
He is a World Champion Material
I don't want to be harsh, but it looks like Lawson kept his foot in it when on the kerb. I think he could have backed off a bit and saved it without causing a crash. But what do I know, I'm not a racing driver.
My thoughts exactly. He tied to hang on to the position which was brave but it was inevitable that he gonna cause a crash. Just like Grosjean at the 2018 Spanish GP. But well like you said we're driver's. 😅
Grosjean moment from Lawson.
50-50
Well he was nearly alongside, of course he tried to keep his foot down, maybe the kerbs were wet or the car bottomed out but it didnt look like a driver error spin, he was pretty much with the car straight when he lost control. Also the way the spin went and he controlled it was unlucky, he ended up going into the whole pack. Very different from Grosjean in spain in 2018 as someone suggested.
Notice how his car slightly bounces on the kerb before starting to weave, not a thing he could do at that point, car loses all stability and its gone, its a shame others Couldnt avoid it, glad it didn't end in a worse scenario
Very unfortunate that Lawson's car is grounding on the exit curb. Tires were not up to pressures yet as expected.
People here acting like liams career is over after one debatable fault crash lol
Not like max didnt tear up a few cars in his time in the ladder series lol
What? He raced open wheel for 3 months, and Helmut Marko was like "yeah this kid is formula 1 ready". Lol
@@Lanse1984 still had a few crashes though, which was the point
@@Lanse1984 Not like Max wasn't involved in a higher than average amount of incidents inside F1 either. People should really stop acting like anyone that crashes doesn't belong in F1, when crashes are in fact a regular part of F1.
@@Lanse1984 and he just debuted in F1 🤣
@@Lanse1984And he wasn't exactly wrong, somehow
I was expected a casual crash but this went from a spin to a pretty spectacular one
Cars look better than F1 TBH.
they look like a mix of F1 and F2
certified Grosjean Moment™
“Lawson is crashed…”
1 week later:
*LAWSON in F1?!* 😏
Somebody has gotten a barrel roll award!
Michael Bay: "WRITE THAT DOWN! WRITE THAT DOWN!"
What a crash jesus. Even though Lawson got squeezed, he probably should have thought to let go off the throttle when he was in the kerbs. Anyways not seen two cars flying in the air at the same time in a long long time
One car airborne but another flip in the background. What a dangerous situation.
TEST: Which rotation was the engine, clockwise/counterclockwise? IQ 140 and up
That crash was crazy
iRacing is real!!
Lzwson doing a Barcelona Grosjean special...
Liam flew into the alpha tauri seat
Looks completely different when you watch if from Liam's on board camera, Nojiri pushed him right off the track, hope where not in for another DTM debacle.
Do you have the link to the onboard?

Go to 4:35. That's when it's about to show Lawson's onboard. There are also other onboards too if you want to see them
How was the guy that landed on the wrong side ?
ノイマンもびっくりの大気圏内バレルロールやんけ
Are everyone ok? This is scary crash.
All drivers OK👍
@@user-me8ee2qr7m thank godness
@ That's what the halo is for. Without the halo, the drivers would have been badly injured or, worse, dead.
Calm down dear
Even in this flipping Red Bull are leading 😂
It’s amazing that no one hit the stalled car. That risk is why I don’t like standing starts.
Or, you know, expect the people who are literally professional racing drivers not to stall their cars.
@@nickklavdianos5136 Which is only possible if they’re robots 🤖.
@@FlashoftheBladesgiven the zero incidents f1 has with this with over 20 standing starts an year... doubtful
@@DavidCruz-dv2ot Ricardo Paletti would like a word with you regarding that claim.
@@FlashoftheBlades wow,you had to go back to 1982 to find a single example, way to prove my point.
How is Lawson's condition now?
This reminds me of his last dtm race...
All of the drivers got out of the car.
In terms of the championship, Ritomo Miyata went from P17 to P4 and now leads with 94 points. Then Lawson is 2nd with 86 points and Nojiri is 3rd with 84 points. They are the only title contenders as Hirakawa is 4th with 51 points with just the double header to go at Suzuka.
@54_ocram46 thanx!! 🟥🦬🟥🦬🏆🏆🏆🏆 ..i hope Liam will win the next one, I'm sure the relationship between him & nojiri is gonna boom crash boom bang🔥🔥🔥
@@54_ocram46 i hope Lawson wins the championship. But this is a massive hit in points and probably confidence. I would have thought he would have been more passive than he was being his first time on that track, especially against someone who's raced that track for years now and especially against the reigning champion. Lawson was up in points, he should have played it passive and just earned a few points and got into the double header with a little lead instead of being p2 now.
Lets hope for kiwi champion!
Don't compare the two events. In that DTM finale, Lawson was absolutely screwed over by dirty driving. Here, Lawson just got a little over aggressive and spun. Entirely different.
@theonetheonlyjoey yea, u'r also right.. well.. I'm not comparing the 2 events. I'm referring to how he lost his cool.
Perhaps he was pressured to win so he could clinch that 2nd driver seat (AT).. but he was cornered by lot cars when the race seemed easy for him..
This motegi race, we could see how he kinda 'kamikaze'.. in trying to overtake Nojiri ..
Blöder Fehler mit üblem Ausgang, aber das kann immer passieren. Sehe da keinen Grund Lawson anzufeinden.

Bro pulled a Burnout type takedown

hope the driver is alright. are you ok moter sport driver.

Who is that guy yelling in the mike ???
Impossible to listen , i cut off the sound
Who thought DAS was a good idea
High percentage of mouth-breathers in the comments.
I thought it was IndyCar for a moment lol
Does IndyCar even HAVE a halo left open? No. IndyCar uses a windscreen to protect the halo.
@@UltramanMebiusBrave Why ask a question if you are going to immediately answer it? Technically it would be more accurate to say that IndyCar doesn't have a halo at all.
wow man
Thank jebus for the halo
Don't think it did literally anything in any of these

Ocon crash
What a bot 🤦♀
Lawson bins another championship, albeit, the last one was taken away from him. This one is on him. Pity, I hope he gets a shot in F1. RB wont be happy with this.
Nothing he could really do differently & if anything, I think RB will be happy that he doesn't give up easily.
@@TheJokerit19 he didn't show patience. He had room and should have given up the corner, he lost the battle but could have won the war. The race is long.
I hope Lawson doesn't come to F1.
Because the Japanese want to promote Tsunoda and Iwasa to Red Bull.
But Lawson is a good player. sorry if my english is not good
@@GR_NOAH Nothing wrong with your English typing, but Tsunoda mightn't even be in Red Bull's long-term plans & Iwasa still has time, so he'll probably stay in F2 for next year.
Lawson's performance level this year is hard to overlook, so not promoting him to F1 full-time next year would be questionable.
@@albinobeach I don't blame him for trying to get P1 on the opening lap because overtaking is difficult on the Motegi circuit, so track position is vital in a spec-series.
I'd consider Nojiri more desperate to avoid losing another victory to a rookie teammate.
crazy driver, that's why him lose dtm camp
lol
Bad bait
bait or mental retardation
call it.
I’ll stick with stock cars, thank you
and this is the same guy that RB has as a reserve driver? suicide.
This is the same guy that has just done 2 races in F1 and performed well.
One incident doesn't automatically make a bad driver, mate
@@theonetheonlyjoey i thought he had invisible races. But thats me.
Lawson isn’t a smart guy, brain dead move there
Fr
To be fair, those curbs didn't seem harsh. Strange reaction from the car. F1 cars handle curbs most of the time whilst flatout.
Lawsons teammate pushed him too wide. He’s afraid of losing the super formula title to Liam. This pretty much ended that. Won’t matter, Liam will be in F1 in 2025.
Lawson shouldn't have kept it planted over the kerb, Nojiri is a clean driver
@@seavmeylundqvist4897 Exactly. Can't believe the lead Eng commentator was wholly placing the blame on Nojiri.
@@riverdelta7052yep, plenty of space given to lawson, he was just a little too brave on the kerb. oh well, race cars dont like bumps in the road, just a bit of misfortunate for everyone involved.
@@arry5432 Nojiri didn't give a lot of space, though, & Lawson couldn't really have done anything differently to avoid losing car control when on the kerb.
Nah if i you watch that honestly it was his mates turn. His mate didn’t push him off, just wide enough that Liam should have not forced the throttle which he did and paid the price.
This is so insanely stupid , think about how much resources were wasted during this short space of time and how this could have been used to save humanity at the current degenerated state it is in
How could some carbon fiber along with a few engines save humanity dawg 💀
@@GortTheCapybara320money. But let’s be honest racing as a sport is not the problem. The problem is big industry and corruption. If you take am the resources wasted on racing it won’t put a dent in the problem.
@@GortTheCapybara320he might be a JSO protester
@@Arcadepown oh yeah those idiots
you could say this about anything. I find it's an interesting discussion to weigh the value of entertainment and culture of something against it's material/environmental impact. But just making this kind blanket argument about the value of an activity and the materials invested could be made about any sport/art/endeavour. The environmental and material impact of any sport is large, with all the travel and equipment manufacturing. Just because it's more obvious and on display doesn't mean it's the worst. If we are to work towards improving things we could benefit from taking a more measured evaluation and discussion IMO.
