Girl Child Education Support Program in Gadhimai Municipality, Rautahat.

During 2000, the Heifer Nepal team realized that the women empowerment challenge was deep-rooted in girl children education disparity and initiated a Girl Child Education program to voluntarily contribute a part of their salary every month to support education of girl children from the Self-Help Groups where we were working. To provide a level playing field for the Girl Child, the GCE program started supporting necessary materials (school uniforms + stationery) to keep her in school for a year.
