Hi Joppe. I hope that meeting brings you some recognition and success. It would be shame that your talent not be recognized in a consumer product. Best of luck.

Would be super cool to know what songs the pros use when auditioning speakers. Can you please let us know the names of the songs they used to audition your planars? Especially the bass heavy one? Thanks for your amazing awesomeness Joppe. You bring great joy and provoke creative thinking for all who watch your videos. Two thumbs up!!!

@@joppepeelen this is a great idea. just make sure it's something you can deliver, don't offer a million versions of the product like light harmonic did(famous first big audio kickstarter failure)

Very impressive that you developed what Magnepan only made drawings of. Jason Bloom and Leo Spiegel incorporated Apogee in '81 about 20 miles from me in Massachusetts, in Norwood if I remember correctly. So I heard them and they were shockingly amazing. But they infringed on a patent held by Magnepan at the time, and were sued. They had to shut down. It was a damn shame, because they were quite superior to anything Magnepan produced. The Apogee planar/ribbons required amplification that could handle the Impedance issues. Also, heard the Calipers driven by a New York based vacuum tube amp by the company Lazarus, only 35 watts/channel that totally blew me away at the summer CES in 1987. I believe a push-pull set up is what can send you over the top to a really great commercial product. I been watching for a few+ years and a 16 Ohm bass module driven by my OTL monoblocs would mesh really well with my Auricle RD 57, built by Dave Graebener, also a push-pull planar. Hint, Hint. But seriously, keep up the empiricism, as it is truly fascinating and you are producing quite excellent, high quality transducers.

Hi Joppe, well deserved visit by the Magnepan folks. Since you mentioned, that you did not ask all questions, did you ever think of making a kind of "Speaker talk with Joppe", where you invite them for an online meeting to talk about your and their stuff? I'd certainly watch it.

the best magnetostats I've heard except from Magnepan was Analysis Audio from Greek in 2010 and of course the grand Apogee in the mid 80s....I suggest to hear a huge Analysis speaker, maybe there is a dealer in the NL (e.g. Ohm-Audio) who can show you some models...

ill try to hear some, i believe claris is a 1:1 apogee copy though.

i would think it is a nice motivation if a established brand comes to you to visit the speakers.. maybe they afraid of how advanced you could become ;)
